Welcome to the 16th Emergency Abdominal Surgery Course. The first was held in Letterkenny Donegal Ireland in May 2012. Courses have expanded around the World and this is the inaugural course in Cork. This course builds on previous success and is further enhanced a faculty who are at the coal face in Emergency Surgery. EASC has evolved into a world leading course in Emergency Abdominal Surgery. EASC curriculum focuses on the acute abdomen, in a multidisciplinary shared learning approach. It will bring you a level of discussion you have not heard before and enhance your ability on-duty as a surgeon, gastroenterologist, aneasthetist or radiologist; either as a trainee or a specialist. This course is about decision making in patients and common emergencies. The course is endorsed by many societies. It is constantly updated with the latest advances in Emergency Surgery Care. Course Goals Understanding the natural history of key emergency surgery presentations, with emphasis on decision making and operative/intervention/imaging tips and traps to optimise outcome. This coupled with a manual containing lectures and the latest literature references will ensure your patients are getting optimal outcomes.
