Dear Parishioners,
I would like to thank you for your continued generosity to our parish, both financial and giving of your time and talent! I would like to thank you for continuing to use your Capital Improvement envelopes. With some of the money that we have collected since July, we have purchased a new printer for the office, re-painted two of the religious education classrooms and bought a new washer and dryer for the rectory. We would not have been able to purchase these items without your generous support, so thank you!
On November 18, David Grady and Daniel Signore, Permanent Deacon Candidates from our parish, will receive the Institution of Reader from Bishop Gainer. According to Canon Law, candidates for ordination as deacons and priests are to receive the ministries of Reader and Acolyte. They are to exercise them for a suitable time, in order to be better disposed for the future service of the Word and of the Altar. After November 18, you will notice both David and Daniel proclaiming the First and Second Readings at Masses to prepare themselves, God-willing, for the Proclamation of the Gospel. May God continue to bless our Diaconate Candidates from Saint Mark/Saint Luke and across the Diocese of Harrisburg!
In Christ,
Fr. Sahd
