Today’s Objectives:• We will use what we know about grammar and

spelling to help us rewrite 2 incorrect sentences.• We will discuss how “cause” and “effect” relate

to Romeo and Juliet.• We will define and share ideas about new

vocabulary words for Act 3.• We will read Act 3, Scene 4.• We will summarize what we have read in Act 3

using a word splash.

1. You will get a card with either a cause or aneffect.

2. You need to walk around until you findsomeone whose card is the cause or effect ofyour card.

3. Then, sit down with the person whose card isthe cause or effect of yours.

• Example:– Cause: My alarm rang in the morning.– Effect: I woke up.
