1. Sheʼs different. Donʼt compare her or

make her conform to your crazy ideas. Examples of comparison, “youʼre just like your _____” or “why canʼt you be like _______”? Rather than compare - CELEBRATE her difference and it will blow your mind how doing this will bring forth her brilliance. Also, get to know the differences that make up her DNA. You can ask the “whatʼs her” questions: favorite color, movie, music, flower, restaurant; love language; learning style; personality; etc?

2. Sheʼs valuable. A precious, priceless

princess. Treat her like the lady she will become not like a little pipsqueak inconvenience that you just canʼt wait until she goes off to college. Sheʼs more important than any stock, real estate, or other investments . . . make time for her.

3. She adores you. More than any idol,

superhero, or God . . . thatʼs how powerful everything you say captures her. Every word you say she gobbles it like itʼs truth, even if itʼs not.

4. She watches how you treat other women

including her mother . . . and depending on your treatment towards them will determine how she carries herself and allows men to treat her.

5. If you tell her sheʼs fat, sheʼll always remember that and keep it in her book of facts. Billions of dollars are spent every year to tell your daughter she isnʼt good enough; that she needs to be blonder, brighter or darker, taller or shorter, bigger breasted, tighter butted, skinnier this or that . . . youʼve gotta be her advocate not her critic.

6. Sheʼs under an enormous amount of

pressure by media marketing to look like a woman thatʼs not human. When you focus on fake beauty rather than true beauty, she will hide who she is to become what youʼve told her is pretty.

7. She wants love. Love not based on

performance, production or physical appearance . . . she wants, needs, and requires that you love her-- genuinely, truthfully and protectively without any hidden agendas or strings attached.

Think for a moment of hearing reports from teachers that make you excited to go to the next parent teacher conference. Imagine your daughter giving a speech for an honor she receives and during the speech she accredits you to most of her success. Picture fellow Dadsʼ asking you for advice for their daughters because they see such an inspirational relationship between you and your girl. If this sounds great to you . . . then you can join other Dadʼs in our “Defy Statistics” community!
