Geno White guitar lessons at Mad Batter
CAPE MAY – Geno White will be offering guitar lessons on Wednesday nights for 10 weeks (from Feb 26). Mad Bat-ter Guitar is geared towards beginners to casual adult play-ers. No need for a guitar at first – bring a notepad and pencil. $10 per session. Pay at arrival, see Chris Hedstrom. Learn music/guitar through the gui-tar itself, have some fun. There will be at least one loaner gui-tar available. Lessons run from 6 to 7 p.m. Following the class will be The Geno White Duo, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Fitness Nature Walks every Saturday
WILDWOOD CREST – Every Saturday in March, the Na-tional Wildlife Refuge will hold a “Fitness Nature Walk,” 2 to 3 p.m., starting at the Visitor Contact Station. Approximate distance 2 miles at a steady but relaxed pace, with occasional stops to take a look around. Un-less otherwise specified, these events are free and will take place at the Two Mile Beach Unit at 12001 Pacific Ave (Ocean Dr), Wildwood Crest. Cape May Point State Park Friday Frog Hikes
Fridays in April
CAPE MAY POINT – Join Cape May Point State Park ev-ery Friday in April at 7 p.m. at the Park Museum, for a short presentation about frogs and their calls, followed by a short hike down the Red Trail. Bring flashlights. Family friendly. Donations or donations of juice and cookies appreciated. The cost is $3 per person. Age 3 and under free.
‘Why Organic?’ lecture at Good Earth April 3
WEST CAPE MAY – “You are what you eat.” Good Earth Organic Eatery is offering a dinner and lecture for those in the community who are inter-ested in bringing better health to their meals and their bod-
ies. The informal lecture is en-titled “Why Organic?” and will explore the benefits of good food choices. The lecture is Thursday, April 3 at 7:30 p.m., is free and open to the public.
There will be a dinner at 6 p.m., preceding the lecture, which will include red lentil soup with ginger, quinoa salad with asparagus, creamy penne pasta with sage, sautéed kale, cream of split pea, spring mix salad and macaroons for des-sert - all organic. Reservations are recommended. The cost is $16 plus tax per person, Cash Only, BYOB. Gluten free op-tions are available for $3 ex-tra. Call (609) 898-6161 for reservations. Dale Gerhard at the NCCM April 8
CAPE MAY – Everyone who has read The Press of Atlantic City is familiar with the pho-tography of Dale Gerhard, but what of the “story behind the pictures.” The Nature Center of Cape May has invited Dale to be their very special guest at their next Harborside Chat on Tuesday, April 8. This will be a unique opportunity to meet a true South Jersey icon. “Chats” begin at 6 p.m. and are held at the Charlotte Van Leer Todd Education Hall lo-cated on the rim of Cape May Harbor at 1600 Delaware Av-enue in Cape May. VINELAND – TaDah, the premier woman’s boutique in Ocean City, will present a fashion show featuring spring clothing, jewelry, and acces-sories on April 10 from noon to 1:45 p.m. Doors open at 11 a.m. The all inclusive price is $15. All will be for sale at great prices. Come and enjoy the show.
