70th CMEF Post Show Report

The 70th CMEF edition from 3rd to 6th November 2013 in the lively Xiamen proved

to be once again the Asia Pacific biggest medical event with over 2,800 exhibitors

from 23 countries and regions, showcasing a comprehensive selection made of the

latest innovations and hi-technologies available in the imaging, IVD, medical IT,

rehabilitation to orthopaedic sectors. A vibrant ambiance in the fully packed

exhibition halls with 59,891 visitors coming from 97 countries and regions.

Importantly over 20% visitors were coming from the surrounding area, which is

one of the most developed areas on the development of private healthcare

institutions in China. CMEF once again played the role of the most important

“cloud” platform for exchange and trading between the medical solution

providers and the decision makers in the Asia Pacific Region. Simultaneously

organized conferences focused on the topics which the medical professionals

interest most e.g. nuclear medicine and molecular imaging, development of

private healthcare institutions, medical regulations and policies interpretation etc.

35 Years-We Witness the Development of the Medical Device Industry

From 1979 to 2013 CMEF has witnessed the great changes from state planned economy to market oriented economy happened in China's medical industry. During the period, CMEF has played the role of facilitating the development of Chinese medical devices industry and grew itself gradually at the same time. Currently CMEF has become the most influential medical platform serving innovation, trading, learning and networking in the region. Korea - A Strong Tie to China

As one of the most important neighbors of China, since 2003, KMDICA continuously organizes a Korean pavilion twice a year at CMEF, surely the exhibiting delegation bear the fruits of the result and nowadays, Korea was ranked as the top 10 medical devices exporting country to China. In addition, altogether 1,043 Korean visitors has visited CMEF in 2013.

“The association has organized Korean pavilion to CMEF for ten years and will continue to introduce Korean made medical devices at CMEF. Moreover we will strengthen the cooperation with CFDA to supply good devices to China. And we will make more effort on“Buyer Matching”program so as to establish a bridge between Korean manufacturers and Chinese buyers.”

Academic Conferences and Seminars

The First Global Conference of the Chinese Professionals in the Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging attracted 146 high profile speakers including over 100 overseas Chinese experts to update on the global nuclear medicine development and share their research reports. Thanks to the high attendance and the in-depth topics discussed, the Conference was considered as the largest and most advanced nuclear medicine forum and academic activities in the Asia-Pacific Region.

35 simultaneously held conferences related to clinical research, technology innovation, medical finance, policy interpretation and international cooperation drew great attention among medical professionals. 257 medical industry topics were discussed and over 3,000 delegates attended the conference programs.

As one of CMEF's branded forums CSSI 2013 gathered the top Chinese authorities and experts in medical imaging, radiology and ultrasound field, which also drew the attention of decision makers from some leading imaging equipments suppliers.
