YOU WILL ALSO NEED:

Warm soapy water and a clean rag, ammonia-based cleaner (Windex), masking tape and marker

STEP 1 Read and understand all steps in the instructions before starting the installation. Park the motorcycle on

a hard, level surface and turn IGN OFF.

STEP 2 Refer to PIC 1. Using soap

and water, clean the instal-

lation area. Allow to dry.

Wipe the area with an am-

monia-based cleaner and

allow it to dry completely.

STEP 3 Position the BAHN Speedo/Tach Accent as shown in PIC 2. Use masking tape to make alignment

marks. Remove the Accent.

Ensure the area of insta l la t ion is f ree of grease, o i l , d i r t or other debr is inc luding w ax/pol ish products and bugs to en-sure proper adhesion. Küryakyn WILL NOT issue a warranty on any par ts lost due to improper instal la t ion.

The adhesive w i l l not bond correct ly i f appl ied at tempera-tures less than 50°F. Do not at tempt th is insta l la t ion in tem-peratures less than 50°F.

STEP 4 Refer to PIC 3. Using your finger-

nail, rub the adhesive backing on

the backside of the Accent to acti-

vate the adhesive. Remove and

discard the backing.

STEP 5 Using the marks made in STEP

3, align the Accent. Press it into

place for one minute. Full bonding

will occur after 24 hours. Remove

and discard the masking tape.

NOTE: If the bike is going to be

operated before the full

bonding takes place, secure

the accent to the inner fair-

ing with a good quality

masking tape or painter’s tape.

TIPS FOR PROPER CARE:

Your new BAHN product is made out of anodized aluminum. Anodized aluminum requires special attention when cleaning. Some cleaning products or procedures can actually remove the anodized treatment which will lead to pit-ting in the aluminum.

Thoroughly clean the BAHN product often with a soft cloth, mild soap and water. Regular cleaning keeps contami-nates from building up.

Rinse thoroughly with FRESH water.

Use only metal protection products that are formulated for anodized aluminum.

DO NOT USE bleach or chlorides to clean the BAHN product.

DO NOT USE products containing abrasives to clean the BAHN product. Never use steel or brass wool, wire brushes, polishing wheels, rubbing or polishing compounds on the Bahn product.

DO NOT USE concentrated alkaline based solutions to clean the BAHN product. Many detergents are alkaline based.
