To ensure safety and efficiency of the automated system, makesurethefollowingrequirementsareobservedbeforeinstallingthesystem:•Thegatestructuremustbesuitableforautomation.Thefollowing
arenecessaryinparticular:wheeldiametermustbeinproportiontotheweightofthegate,anuppertrackmustbeprovided,plusmechanicaltravelstopstopreventthegatederailing.
• The soil must guarantee a perfect stability of the foundationplinth.
•Theremustbenopipesorelectriccablesintheplinthexcavationarea.
•Ifthegearmotoris locatedinthevehicletransitormanoeuvrearea,adequatemeansofprotectionshouldbeprovidedagainstaccidentalimpact.
•Check ifanefficientear-thing isavailable forcon-nectiontothegearmotor.
5.2.Masonryforfoun-dationplate1-Assemblethefoundation

2-Inordertoensurethatthepinion and rack engage
correctly,thefoundationplatemustbepositionedasshowninFig.05(rightclosing)orFig.06(leftclosing).

3-Afterdeterminingthepositionofthefoundationplate,makeaplinthasshowninFig.07andwalltheplate,providingseveralsheathsforroutingthecables.Usingaspiritlevel,checkiftheplateisperfectlylevel.Waitforthecementtoset.

spacersortoeachother.•Whentherackhasbeeninstalled,toensureitmeshescorrectly
withthepinion,itisadvisabletolowerthegearmotorpositionbyabout1.5mm(Fig.15).
•Manuallycheckifthegatecorrectlyreachesthemechanicallimitstopsmaintainingthepinionandrackcoupledandmakesurethereisnofrictionduringgatetravel.
• Do not use grease or other lubricants between rack andpinion.
6.START-UP6.�.Controlboardconnection
Before attempting any work on the board (connections,programming,maintenance),alwaysturnoffpower.Follow points 10, 11, 12, 13 and14 of the GENERAL SAFETYOBLIGATIONS.Following the instructions in Fig. 3, route thecables through theraceways and make the necessary electric connections to theselectedaccessories.Always separate power cables from control and safety cables
(push-button,receiver,photocells,etc.).Toavoidanyelectricnoisewhatever,useseparatesheaths.
6.�.�.EarthingConnecttheearthcablesasshowninFig.16ref.A.
6.�.2.ElectroniccontrolunitInthegearmotors,theelectroniccontrolunitisfittedtoanadjustablesupport(Fig.16ref.1)withtransparentlid(Fig.16ref.3).Theboardprogrammingpushbuttons(Fig.16ref.4)havebeenlocatedonthelid.Thisallowtheboardtobeprogrammedwithoutremovingthelid.Forcorrectconnectionofthecontrolunit, followindicationsthespecificinstructions:
6.2.PositioningthelimitswitchesImportant :Forcorrectpositioningofthe limitswitchmagnets,
thecontrolunitmustbeinstalledandcorrectlyconnectedtoallcontrolandsafetyaccessories.
The operator is fitted with a magnetic limit switch whichcommandsthegatetostopatthemomentwhenthemagnet,fixedintheupperpartoftherack,activatesthesensor.Themagnetssuppliedwiththeoperatoraresuitablypolarisedandactivateonlyonesensorcontact,theclosurecontactortheopeningcontact.
Important:Forcorrectfunctioningoftheoperator,themagnetwiththecirclemustbepositionedtotheleftofthemotorand,viceversa,themagnetwiththesquaremustbepositionedtotherightofthemotor(SEEFIGURE�8)

Onceinstallationoftheoperatorhasbeencompleted,makeacarefulfunctionalcheckofallaccessoriesandsafetydevicesconnected.Move the board support back to its original position. Position theprotectivecasings(Fig.19ref.1),tightenthetwosidescrewssupplied(Fig.19 ref.2) and insert, under pressure, the supporting side pieces(Fig.19ref.3).Apply the adhesive, warning of danger, to the upper part of thecasing(Fig.20).Give the Client the “User Guide” and demonstrate the correctoperation and use of the gearmotor, highlighting the potentiallydangerouszonesoftheautomatedsystem.
8.MANUALOPERATIONAttention:Switchoffthepowersupplytothesystem,toavoidany
possibilityofanaccidentalimpulseactivatingthegateduringthereleaseprocedure.
Toreleasethegearmotor,proceedasfollows:1) Insert the appropriate key supplied and turn it clockwise as
indicatedinFig.21refs.1and2.2)Turnthereleasesystemclockwiseuntilthemechanicalstopis
reachedFig.21ref.3.3)Openorclosethegatemanually.
9.RESTORINGNORMALOPERATION

DESCRIPTIONThe740-741automatedsystemisidealforcontrollingvehicleaccessareasofmediumtransitfrequency.The740-741automatedsystemforslidinggatesisanelectro-mecha-nicaloperatortransmittingmotiontotheslidinggateviaarackpinionorchainappropriatelycoupledtothegate.Operationoftheslidinggateiscontrolledbyanelectroniccontrolunithousedinsidetheoperatororinahermeticallysealedoutdoorenclosure.When,withthegateclosed,theunitreceivesanopeningcommandbyradiocontrolor fromanothersuitabledevice, itactivatesthemotoruntiltheopeningpositionisreached.Ifautomaticoperationwasset,thegatere-closesautomaticallyaftertheselectedpausetimehaselapsed.Ifthesemi-automaticoperationwasset,asecondpulsemustbesenttoclosethegateagain.Anopeningpulseduringre-closing,alwayscausesmovementtobereversed.Astoppulse(ifprovided)alwaysstopsmovement.Thelightsignallingindicatesthatthegateiscurrentlymoving.Fordetailson slidinggatebehaviour indifferent function logics,consulttheinstallationtechnician.Theautomatedsystemsincludeobstacle-detectionand/orsafetydevices (photocells, edges) that prevent the gate from closingwhenthereisanobstacleintheareatheyprotect.
