The curriculum of the Doctor of Pharmacy is strong; the quality of the faculty is unparal-leled and the students in the program are outstanding. The educational outcomes of our Col-lege of Pharmacy combined with the cost of our pharmaceutical education ranks our program as one of the best values in the country. Join us as we continue the great legacy of excellence in pharmaceutical education that has marked this College of Pharmacy from the beginning!

This souvenir booklet highlights the milestones of the past seventy-five years within the College of Pharmacy and features many of the indi-viduals who played a role in the success of the College. The major sources on which we relied in creating this booklet were past issues of the

Southwestern campus newspaper, the Bulldog yearbooks, and individual alumni contributions. No history can be complete, but perhaps this brief glimpse will awaken fond memories of your time at the Southwestern Oklahoma State University College of Pharmacy.

Acknowledgments

The editors would like to acknowledge the following individuals and institutions who provided invaluable help in compiling this commemorative history of the College of Pharmacy:

Dr. David Ralph, who had the original idea for this booklet during the planning for the 50th anniversary of the College. He provided a great deal of momentum during the project, and provided records of our staff, administration and faculty.

The staff of the Al Harris Library, who are always generous in allowing access to the Southwestern Room.

Weatherford pharmacists/alumni Ralph Magill and Smith Wycoff, who provided photographs and information about Albert Eaton and Clyde Miller.

Alumnus Randall Kourt (now deceased) and his son Mark Kourt of Thomas, who contacted the relatives of Bert Brundage, as well as Jack and Betty Love (Mr. Brundage’s daughter) who shared family photographs and memorabilia of Mr. Brundage.

The collective memories of the late Dr. H.F. Timmons and the late Dr. B.G. Keller, Jr., who knew virtually everyone associated with the College.

Our alumni, especially Betty Stephens, who contributed photographs and other momentos.

The advice and counsel of the entire 75th Anniversary Committee, chaired by Dr. Krista Brooks.

The financial support of the Southwestern Pharmacy Alumni Foundation, who paid for printing this booklet.

Dr. Pray would like to recognize the contributions of Dr. Benny French, who wrote the first edition of this booklet for the 50th anniversary. This 75th anniversary booklet is based in large part on Dr. French’s seminal work.
