•ConnectwateroutletconnectionCofthetestingdevicetotestconnectionI(heatexchangerside!)ofanRMG790 or directly to the heat exchanger.

•Openstopballvalve4.Compensatepressurebetweenheatexchangerandtestingdevice.

•Observewaterpressuregauge10 .

1. Filling with water

caution. Depending on application, it may be necessary to use antifreeze or similar agents.

•Insertfunnel2withquickcoupling.ConnectionDisopen.

•Openoutletcontrolvalve6.

•Closestopballvalves3and4.

•OpenoverflowvalveEabit.(Releaseairwhenfillingpressurevessel1.)

•Fillwithwater.

•Removefunnel2,connectionDisclosed.

•CloseoverflowvalveE.

•Adjusttestpressureadjustingcontrolvalves5and6. By applying the test pressure to the pressure vessel on the gas side, the pressure in the heat exchanger is raised simultaneouslysothatthetestingdeviceonRMG790opensassoonasthesetvalueisreached.Youwillnoticeasmallamountofwaterleakingfromthetestingdevice. AfurtherincreaseinthepressurewillclosetheSAVs.ThepressureatthepressuregaugeofSAVtestconnectionIIwillfallbacktothesetvalueofthetestingdevice.Next,youmustraisethetestpressureanadditional2to3bars(butnotbeyond10bar).Trapthepressureintheheatexchangerbyclosingtheconnectionofthetestingdevice.Ifthepressureremainsstable,theconnectionistightandtheRMG790worksproperly.

•Whileapplyingthepressureandcarryingoutthetest,keepaneyeonpressuregauges9(gas)and10(water)onthe testing device. Both pressure gauges must indicate the same pressure.

•Closestopballvalve3.

•Openoutletcontrolvalve6.Reducegaspressure.

•Closestopballvalve4.

•OpenoverflowvalveE.Reducewaterpressure.

•Removetestingdeviceconnection.

•Drainingthewaterfromtestingdevice: Openstopballvalve4anddrainpressurevessel1usingwateroverflowconnectionE. Rememberantifreeze,ifnecessary(collector).
