Looking back at my preliminary task, what do I feel that I have learnt in the progression from it

to the full product

Over the course of this production, I feel that I have builtMy technical skills to a higher standard. In my preliminary Task, no effects were used on the main image. On the frontCover of the music magazine, I used the RGB split to strengthen The message of the magazine (a mix) Also, the colour scheme Of my preliminary task had no correlation to the magazineAt all. I learnt from this and had the mix of colours on mixer magazineRepresent the mix of styles present inside. Almost everything on theFront cover of mixer has some sort of correlation to the actual styleOf the magazine

I also learnt better Text placement. In the preliminary task, the text doesn’t seem to fight with the name of the magazine. In mixer I decided to make the colours the same with the Puff and magazine title. It also fits a lot better than on the preliminary task. Finally the fonts I used in the preliminary task didn’t fit the purpose of the magazine. In mixer magazine, the fonts used reflect the cheerful aura that the magazine is trying to give out. I believe that I captured this cheerful feeling throughout the magazine.

The contents page for my preliminary task was extremely basic. It wasn’t very fit For purpose and was difficult to read. It lack creativity and was very bland.The contents page for Mixer was a big improvement as it introduced the colour And excitement that the contents page for the preliminary task lacked. Also the contents page for mixer uses a variety of images whereas the contents page for the school magazine uses one image. Also my technical skills improved as I was able to embed the images into paint splatters on the contents page and create a colourful background that would grab the consumers eye.
