Virtual Learning Setup
AACPS will continue to distribute devices (Chromebooks) to all
students throughout the beginning of the Fall semester.
OMMN is scheduling device pick-up times and sending out connect-ed
calls to alert families each time a shipment of Chromebooks arrives
at our school.
This year your student will automatically be enrolled into the
Google Classrooms of each assigned class on their schedule. *No
need for codes or invitations to get into classes!
Student/ Parent Portal • How will you and your student know their
class schedule?
• Schedules are available for students and their families on the
parent portal. This also gives you real-time access to your
student’s grades all school year! • For help with parent portal
setup, click the “student/parent
portal” icon in the top row of the AACPS homepage. That page has
many resources to get families connected and students linked to
parent accounts.
• Call our school if your have a log-in issue at
410-969-5950.
Tips for success on virtual learning
• Make sure that your student always uses the Chrome Browser and
logs into “classlink” to access their Google Classrooms. • This
will ensure that they can access any programs needed to participate
in class and complete their work.
• Your student’s login information will be: • User id/name= 6 digit
student ID number (used for lunch in school and listed on report
cards)
• Password= YYYYMMDD (birthdate)
• Use a desktop or laptop or Chromebook rather than a tablet/phone
for completing assignments whenever possible.
• If your student is worried that something did not submit properly
on Google Classroom, it is always a good idea to contact the
teacher via email and send let them know. They may then have you
email a copy of the work or send a screenshot.
Information to help your student follow their personal schedule of
classes according to the AACPS Middle School virtual learning
