Mercantilism

-system of nations increasingtheir wealth and powerthrough trade with colonies

-English wanted a favorablebalance of trade whichmeant they sold more thanthey imported from colonies

-witches were often executedunless they exposed other“witches”

-trials later suspended due topoor evidence
