What are the Graduation Requirements?

One diploma type -

23 units required to graduate from FCHS

4 units English 4 units Science 4 units Math 3 units Social Studies 3 units Career Tech and/or Foreign Language and/or Fine Arts

courses 1 unit Health & Fitness 4 units additional electives

What about foreign language?

NOT required. HOWEVER, students who plan to attend a 4-year college are encouraged to take 2 years of foreign language to be accepted at the college.

Students planning to attend a University Systems of Georgia institution must take two units of the same foreign language.

EOCTs and Writing Graduation Test

End-of-Course Tests (EOCTs) - 20% final grade* *Students MUST pass these courses to graduate. English: 9th Gr. English & American Literature Math: Coordinate Algebra and Analytic Geometry Science: Biology & Physical Science Social Studies: U.S. History & Economics

Georgia High School Graduation Tests - WRITING - 11th grade

New HOPE Scholarship Requirements

Class of 2018 must have 4 additional classes of rigor

Classes that meet the HOPE rigor requirements:

Expect to see these reports and ask your child for them!
