• The LSS program prepares students for competitive employment. The LSS program focuses on functional academics to help address student needs.  The program focuses on all aspects of daily living, including money management, living independently, people skills, job skills, and career exploration.

Learning Labs

• Every Tuesday and Thursday after school, two Core Subject teachers hold an hour long learning lab for students to receive extra help.

• Rooms and teachers are announced in the morning

• Support Room Lab is Thursdays in Room 210

Activity Bus

• If students need extra help in learning labs, there are buses available.

• Tuesdays and Thursdays there is one bus available for students at 4:15.

• Students must have a special pass from a learning lab teacher to ride this bus.

• This is NOT for PE make-ups.

PE (Gym Class)

• If your student has an unexcused absence, they MUST make up the PE class after school.

• If your student does not change for PE, they MUST make up the PE class after school

• There are some tests/exams/projects to be completed in PE class

• If they do not pass, they MUST retake it

- When it is independent work time in class and/or for a test/quiz if not in Co-Taught

• Will the regular education teacher tell a student to go to support room?

- Most ask, and yes. If they see a student in trouble, they will make sure they attend

• Can they still have test re-takes at the high school?– Yes, as long as it is in the SDI section of the

IEP.

• Note taking is a problem. Who is responsible to get copies of notes?– Part of SDI and will be reviewed with all
