-Huntington Park, California-Founders were Jeff Hanneman and Kerry King-Started off playing covers of Iron Maiden and Judas Priest songs.-Along with Metallica, Anthrax and Megadeth, Slayer is credited as being the top four bands of thrash metal.-1986 got their big break with the song, “Reign in Blood”-Relies heavily on speed and aggression and using elements such as demonic images, religion and warfare to better express their style.-”Reign in Blood” did not receive airtime on the radio due to its graphic nature but somehow got #94 on the Billboards 200 in 1986.
