Prayer for Vocations

Almighty Father, You have created us for some definite purpose. Grant us the grace to know the path You have planned for us in this life and to respond with a generous “Yes.” Make our archdiocese, parishes, homes and hearts fruitful ground for Your gift of vocations. May our young people respond to Your call with courage and zeal. Stir among our men a desire and the strength to be good and holy priests. Bless us with consecrated religious and those called to a chaste single life, permanent deacons, and faithful husbands and wives, who are a sign of Christ’s love for His Church. We commend our prayer for vocations to You, Father, through the intercessions of Mary our Mother, in the Holy Spirit, through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to people of good will. We praise you, we bless you, we adore you, we glorify you, we give you thanks for your great glory, Lord God, heavenly King, O God, almighty Father. The Nicene Creed

I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible. I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end. An Important Reminder:

We are so grateful that we are able to open our churches and receive the Eucharist in Holy Mass. Let us be reminded of the guidelines we must follow to keep ourselves and our brothers and sisters in Christ safe during the Covid-19 pandemic.

1) Masks must be worn at all times, unless a congregant suffers from a medical condition that

makes this impossible. 2) We all must remain at least six feet away from others outside of our family/household, and fol-

low the one-way traffic patterns marked on the floors. 3) Congregants need to follow the directions of our gracious volunteers. 4) At the distribution of Communion, the entire row will leave the pew when directed by an usher

and walk to the celebrant. Those not receiving Communion may cross their arms to receive a blessing. Communicants will receive the host in flat, outstretched hands, then step to the side to consume the host, and replace masks before pivoting and returning to the pew.

5) When Mass has concluded, an usher will direct you to when it is safe for you to leave your pew.

In the case of our discovery that someone at Mass tests positive for COVID-19 in the next several days, we will post the announcement on our Facebook pages and on our website, so that, in consultation with your physician, you can take the appropriate steps.

The St. Rita Women’s Club

had a lovely, socially distanced gathering after the 10:00am Mass last Sunday.

The purpose of the Women’s Club is to cultivate fellowship among all women, to promote spiritual development of all women, and to en-courage works of charity. Some of the Club’s past and planned events include the Turkey Night Raffle, Christmas Party, Blind Auction, Game Night and Ice Cream Social.

Eucharistic Missionaries

Our Collaborative is be-ginning a new ministry in this the Year of the Eu-charist - Eucharistic Mis-sionaries - bringing Je-

sus to the houses of parishioners to request His Grace upon the home, the family and the neighborhood. Family and friends will gather outside the house, with plenty of room for proper social distancing, and Jesus will be present in the Monstrance. We will pray together the Rosary and the Divine Mercy Chaplet. The family is left with a Chalice for a week and is asked to pray for ALL vocations – to the priesthood, religious life, marriage, and single life.
