Explore the beautiful, cosmopolitan capital of Bavaria with a local expert. Learn about the astounding

Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site**

Guests will have a privately guided experience plus time for an optional 22-minute documentary at the Memorial

Visit BMW Museum (Alternate Activity)

Learn about the fascinating history of the BMW automobile at this museum dedicated to the German automaker.

Klosterbrauerei Andechs Visit, Beer Tasting and Lunch

Visit the magnificent Andechs Monastery high atop Holy Mountain and home to the Andechs Monastery Brewery.

Partake in a tasty lunch in the outdoor biergarten before enjoying a beer tasting with commentary by a master

brewer.

On Your Own Afternoon and Dinner in Munich

Explore the Bavarian capital, home to centuries-old buildings and many museums. You’ll see famed sites

like the Altstadt (Old Town), central Marienplatz square and the Neo-Gothic Neues Rathaus (town hall)

which has the popular glockenspiel show that chimes and reenacts stories from the 16th century.

For dinner, sample some traditional Bavarian fare at any of the many outstanding restaurants in town. Be

sure to ask your Adventure Guides for a recommendation that your family will enjoy.

DAY 3: Munich*

Fuel up with a good breakfast before heading out on your day of adventure.

Transfer to Neuschwanstein

After breakfast, board a motor coach and begin your journey to Neuschwanstein.

Neuschwanstein Castle Tour

Take a mini-bus up to the castle where you will have time for some exploration of the idyllic grounds that

surround the "castle of the fairy-tale king." Guests will then get a tour by a certified local expert who will take

you throughout this 19th-century masterpiece.

Horse-drawn Carriage Ride and Lunch On Your Own

Board a horse-drawn carriage that will take you from the castle down into town for a lovely lunch on your own.

Be sure to ask your Adventure Guides or local expert for a restaurant recommendation.

Transfer Back to Munich

After lunch, board a motor coach and head out for your journey back to Munich.

Dinner at Hofbrauhaus

Raise a stein as you soak up the atmosphere of this world-famous and historic beer hall and restaurant.

You’ll partake in a meal of classic and delicious Bavarian fare, all the while enjoying a true experience of

the Bavarian way of life – through its heart and hospitality.

See the historically significant Nuremberg Courthouse in Room 600 – where the Nuremberg trials were held.

Nuremberg’s history, including spices, teas, gingerbread and fresh pretzels with butter. The tour culminates with

some heavier samplings of meat, sausage and potatoes.

Journey to Rothenburg

Travel by motor coach to another picturesque town. A northern Bavarian village, Rothenburg contains an Old

Town featuring half-timbered houses standing along cobblestone roads that make it seem straight out of a fairy

tale. In fact, it was the inspiration for Pinocchio’s village in the 1940 Disney animated classic Pinocchio!

Check-in at the Hotel Eisenhut

Explore this first-class hotel that offers spectacular views of the romantic Tauber Valley as your Adventure

Guides check you in. The Hotel Eisenhut is composed of 4 16th-century mansions that were once the

homes of Rothenburg's wealthiest families. It is centrally located near Rothenburg Town Hall and close to

some delightful Christmas shops and a doll and toy museum.

Dinner On Your Own in Rothenburg

Choose between casual and fine dining in beer gardens, cafes, inns and romantic restaurants. Enjoy

German specialties including sausages, sauerkraut, local beer and wine from the vineyards near

Night Walk with the Night Watchman

On this twilight tour, see Rothenburg in a whole new light! Follow a costumed Night Watchman as he leads you

by the light of a lantern down the town's ancient cobblestone lanes and regales you with fantastical tales of the

region.

Transfer to Berlin with a Stop in Bamberg

Set off by motor coach to begin your journey to the capital city of Berlin. On the way, stop in Bamberg to take in

Discover the history and charm of this northern Bavarian town and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Find a new

favorite restaurant or café as you enjoy lunch on your own, or ask your Adventure Guides to recommend

something for your family.

Train Journey to Berlin

Climb aboard the train that will take you on a scenic journey from Bamberg to the wonderful city of Berlin,

a city that was once divided, and is now renowned for both its history as well as its modernity, which is

evident in the stunning architecture and vibrant art scene that is all around. Today, the capital is home to

respected universities, museums, entertainment venues and its love of sports.

Dinner in Berlin

Enjoy a hearty dinner with your fellow Adventurers in the centrally located Mitte borough of the capital

city, which is a short distance to your hotel.

Walking Tour of Berlin

Join your Adventure Guide and set out on a walking tour of the eastern part of this stunning city. Sites that you

will see include the Reichstag Building, Brandenburg Gate, Holocaust Memorial, Checkpoint Charlie and

Alexanderplatz.

Lunch at Dom Curry

Grab a quick lunch and try currywurst, the quintessential Berlin specialty, at this outdoor eatery.

Street Art Tour and Graffiti Workshop

Get an introduction to Berlin’s vibrant history of street art at Gendarmenmarkt by a local street art guide. Check

out some examples throughout the city as you pass the districts of Kreuzberg and Friedrichhain. The tour will

end at Humboldthain Music Club for a Graffiti workshop where Adventurers will utilize stencils to create your

own graffiti on canvas.

Ritter Sport Chocolate Experience

There’s a whole lot of chocolate for everyone! Led by a Ritter Sport chocolate expert, Junior Adventurers

will create their own unique Ritter Sport chocolates personalized from taste to wrapping in a private

workshop just for them.

Meanwhile, Adults partake in their own mini chocolate activity which will allow them to browse the Ritter

Sport shop, grab a coffee in the café, or take a short walk into town.

On Your Own in Berlin – Including Museum Island Pass

Discover the beauty, history and magic of this capital city that embraces both the Old World and modern times.

Adventurers can also check out Museum Island, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Berlin’s Mitte district, that is

home to several world-class museums.

Farewell Dinner at Clärchens Ballhaus

PREPARING FOR YOUR ADVENTURE

Required Travel Documentation

If you are a U. S. citizen, you will need a valid passport to enter Germany and return to the United States. It must be valid six months beyond your

intended stay and have 1-2 blank pages remaining. Allow yourself sufficient time to have your application processed if you are applying for a new

passport or renewing an expired passport. Refer to the U.S. Department of State for further details.

In addition, Guests 17 years of age or younger may be required to show additional documentation when traveling with a single parent.

You do not need a visa to travel to Germany.

If you are not a U.S. citizen, please check with the German Embassy for information on documentation requirements.

What to Pack

Please limit your baggage to 1 piece of luggage per person plus 1 carry-on. With frequent security changes, we recommend that you check with your

air carrier as well as with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) for current restrictions.

Since a majority of your adventure will take place outdoors, your attire should be comfortable. Most attire is casual, although one "smart casual" outfit

EN ROUTE

Arrival/Departure Information

After arriving at Munich Airport (MUC), you may pass through Immigration and Passport Control. This is dependent on your departure city and where

your flight connections were. Follow airport signage to Baggage Claim. Retrieve your luggage and exit the Baggage Claim area by passing through

Customs and then into the main terminal. As soon as you arrive in the Arrivals Hall of the terminal, look for a representative holding an orange

Adventures by Disney sign. This representative is available to assist you with your luggage and will escort you to your prearranged ground

transportation to your hotel. At the conclusion of your adventure, you will be transferred from the Regent Berlin to Berlin Tegel International Airport

(TXL) for your return flight home.

Currency

The unit of currency in Germany is the Euro (EUR). U.S. dollars are not accepted at hotels, shops or restaurants, but ATM machines are available in

most places along your adventure to obtain cash in Euros. Most hotels and restaurants accept major credit cards or single-use debit cards.

Example:

• For a 9-day adventure, the Adventure Guide gratuity per Guest, per Adventure Guide: $72 - $99 USD.

• A family of 4 for a 9-day adventure: $288 - $396 USD per Adventure Guide.

For 2 Adventure Guides, this is a total of $576 – 792 USD.

The Adventure Guides gratuity can be paid in U.S dollars, local currency, travelers' checks or PayPal. Please check with your Adventure Guide if they

accept PayPal.

All Other Gratuities

Gratuities have been taken care of on your behalf for all services included in the itinerary. There is no need for you to worry about tipping the bellmen,

housekeepers, waiters, drivers and local experts.

Transportation

When spending time on your own in Germany, you may choose to visit a site that requires transportation. If this is the case, convenient travel options

include requesting taxi service through the hotel or using public transportation in the larger cities.

Language

While the primary language of Germany is German, many Germans speak English.

How do I book my Adventures by Disney vacation?

If you are in the United States, please call (800) 543-0865† to speak to a Vacationista, or contact your Travel Agent.

Do I need vaccinations to travel to this country?

If you are a U.S. citizen, you do not need vaccinations to travel to Germany. If you are not a U.S. citizen, please check your local requirements on

vaccinations for travel to Germany.

What airport do I fly into and out of?

Arrival: We will pick you up from Munich Airport (MUC) on your arrival day. Your flight should arrive no later than 2:00 PM.

Departure: At the end of your adventure, we will transfer you to Berlin Tegel Airport (TXL). Your flight should depart no earlier than 8:00 AM.

Are transfers included if I arrive or depart from different locations or at different times from the itinerary?

No. Transfers are only included from the specified arrival/departure airports and hotels. For Germany, transfers are included from Munich to Kempinski

on your arrival day. On your departure day, transfers are included from Regent Berlin to Berlin Tegel Airport (TXL).

Can I extend my vacation beyond the Adventures by Disney itinerary?

Yes, you may stay in Germany before or after our itinerary. Pre/post night stays in Munich and Berlin are available at special rates if booked through

Adventures by Disney Travel Services, Inc. in conjunction with a land package and cannot be combined with any other offer. Please contact a

How will our group travel between destinations?

Your group will travel by motor coach and train between cities and between sites.

How strenuous are the activities?

While this adventure is not considered physically strenuous, most days will include one or more hours of walking, often on uneven ground or

cobblestone streets. A number of the destinations require climbing stairs. There is also a bike-riding activity on a gentle, paved path. Many days will

have motor coach trips between destinations that last one or more hours. While nearly all of the trip's featured activities are relatively easy if

examined separately, the full range of activities requires a moderate amount of stamina in order to get the most of your vacation.



What ages are appropriate for this adventure?

While we welcome children ages 6 and up at the time of travel to discover the stories of the world with us, we recommend that children be at least 8

years old at the time of travel on our Germany trip. This is based on several factors, such as flight time and jet lag, time zone differences in the

destination, duration of the vacation and amount of physical activity (e.g., walking, biking) involved. Because each child is different, call a Vacationista

at (800) 543-0865† to discuss whether this is the right trip for your little kids.

What types of meals are served on this Adventures by Disney Trip?

Typically, breakfast is served buffet style. Dinners and lunches usually include fish, meat (pork is a common option at many meals), and pasta or rice

entrées, soup and vegetables, along with desserts and fruit. While the menus have been planned to give you a taste of typical German cuisine, they

are always balanced with limited American fare. Some meals on this trip are served buffet style while others offer a limited-choice menu. Given the

nature of group travel, we regret that á la carte menu choices are not available. Children-friendly choices are available at all meals. Menu items are

subject to change due to the availability and seasonality of foods. In order to offer you and your family a bit of time to enjoy meals among yourselves,

there are a few meals that are not included in the itinerary. These meals have been planned in towns or cities where you will have plenty of options

available. If you have any questions or concerns about dining at any time during your vacation, your Adventure Guides will be happy to assist you.

Is alcohol included with meals?

Alcoholic beverages are typically not included with your scheduled meals. However, you may purchase them at your own expense.

Can you accommodate special dietary needs?

Adventures by Disney will make a reasonable effort to accommodate some special dietary needs at no additional charge. Unfortunately, we may not

be able to accommodate all special dietary needs requested. Please contact a Vacationista at (800) 543-0865† in advance of your departure to advise

us of your needs.

Is this itinerary appropriate for travelers with special needs?

Please note that this vacation includes activities that present certain challenges to Guests with special needs. It is strongly recommended that persons

requiring assistance be accompanied by a companion who is capable of and totally responsible for providing assistance. Neither Adventures by Disney

nor its suppliers may physically lift or assist Guests onto transportation vehicles. Contact a Vacationista at (800) 543-0865† to discuss your needs.

What if Adventures by Disney cancels the adventure prior to departure?

We will make every reasonable effort to operate the vacations as advertised; however, we reserve the right to curtail or modify the itinerary, or to

substitute activities, hotels, meals or transportation as we deem necessary. We further reserve the right to reduce the number of Adventure Guides to

one, and to modify other services to accommodate a smaller group, if a minimum number of Guests is not reached. Similarly, we may marginally




exceed the stated group maximum size if necessary to accommodate a family. Please also note that during certain holidays and peak periods, some

activities may be disrupted or unavailable. None of these modifications or changes shall affect the land package price. We reserve the right to cancel

a trip at any time prior to its commencement for any reason, such as if there are too few Guests, or if the quality of the trip or the safety of the Guests

would, in our opinion, be compromised, such as may result from unforeseen circumstances (acts of God) or other circumstances beyond our

reasonable control. If we cancel your trip prior to its commencement because there are too few Guests: (i) we will attempt to re-book you on another

departure of the same itinerary, subject to availability, and we will bear any reasonable airline re-booking charges; however, if we are unable to

rebook you, we will issue a full refund of your land package price and Plan (unless you have filed a claim); and (ii) if you booked airfare through us, we

will issue a full refund of your airfare; and (iii) if you did not book airfare through us, we will reimburse you for your reasonable out-of-pocket (subject

to proof) airline cancellation charges or, in the case of bookings using frequent flier miles, a reasonable cancellation service fee, provided you have

exercised best efforts to mitigate such charges/fees; and (iv) the aforesaid payments and/or rebooking by us shall constitute a full settlement.
