With the severe cutbacks in education funding, our need for parent support has increased considerably. We are very thankful to all the Pink Panther Core parents for being Perfect Pink Panther Parent Participants by supporting our Pink Panther students and teachers. We know you have busy schedules, and as such we truly appreciate your willingness to help us. During the school year, we like to supplement our teaching with guest speakers who are knowledgeable in areas of the curriculum we are studying. We also rely on parent chaperones to help during field trips or special class or core events. If you have a business or career that can support our core through services (e.g., guest speaking, chaperoning) or the donation of items that can be used for core events, please contact Mrs. Pakradouni, [email protected], at your earliest convenience. Your direct support (monetary donations to the Pink Panther Core through the Toll Foundation and Dash of the Titans) or indirect support (donation of services, food items, or other products) is greatly appreciated. A wish list will be posted on Mrs. Pakradouni’s webpage to identify needed supplies. We will update the wish list as supplies dwindle or as new needs arise. We want to promote your children’s success at school by making sure that they are not only challenged and supported academically, but they are also provided with an enriched environment in which to learn successfully. The list below gives you some very specific ways in which you can help our core. If you can send supplies, please do so during the first few weeks of school. General Supplies Needed: • antibacterial hand sanitizer gel • facial tissue boxes (as many as possible!) • card stock, 8.5”x11”, various colors, esp. pink • file folders, manila or other colors • colored markers (fine point, water soluble) • glue sticks • colored pencils • printer paper, white • construction paper, various colors/sizes • self-stick notes (e.g., Post-its) • copy paper, neon and pastel pink, pastel blue, lilac, yellow, or green • transparent tape (e.g., Scotch Tape) • correction tape (e.g., White-out tape, not liquid) • wet wipes / baby wipes • EXPO dry-erase white board markers (Low Odor), various dark colors • cleaning wipes (e.g., Clorox Wipes) Parent Help Needed: Clerical and Food Cart Supervision Clerical Support: We need parents who are willing to work with filing, labeling, alphabetizing, organizing, and making copies. Getting your help even once or twice a week will be an invaluable service to our core. Food Cart Supervision: A few weeks during the year, our core will be tending the lunchtime food cart. We need one parent to supervise the cart during the days the Pink Panther Core is in charge.
