IAD is a success story of volunteerism. Doctors, scientists, paramedical experts, social workers and intellectuals from around the worldcontribute their time, knowledge and expertise to shape the programsof this not-for-profit research institution. IAD is an institute where thebest of modern medicine is combined with established traditionalhealing practices. Every patient who visits receives treatmentirrespective of his or her financial status. About one fourth of theeconomically backward patient population receives free treatment. Therest receive some form of assistance from IAD. Studies/ researchconducted here have immensely benefitted, physically andpsychologically, patients suffering from chronic skin diseases andLymphatic Filariasis.
