WELCOME TO HI-TEC OILS TOOWOOMBA SPEEDWAY On behalf of the entire team at Hi-Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedway, we’d like to welcome you to the opening round of USC Queensland. It’s great to be once again running the Ultimate Sprintcar Championship at Hi-Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedway. Its great to have Darling Downs Fabricating as our major sponsor for tonight’s event. Please support the people that support our speedway. A long list of wonderful sponsors and people have made this series possible, and we can’t wait to bring you all the action this season. With over $20,000 in series prize money on the line to the top 20 contracted drivers after the 7 rounds of USC, we are sure to see some exceptional racing tonight and throughout the rest of the season. We are utterly blown away by the support of tonight’s event. To have 36 Sprintcars is truly remarkable, and we can’t thank all the teams for their support. The field is bolstered with last week’s winner Luke Oldfield who raced home to win the opening round of the ECL Series at Archerfield ahead of Lachlan McHugh and Cody Maroske. Both of these drivers are in good touch and should perform well in Toowoomba. Also among the impressive field of nominations is Darwin’s Ben Atkinson who returns to Toowoomba off the back of his third place finish (after coming from the B-Main) at our season opener. He will be joined by Tasmanian sensation Jock Goodyer who is always impressive everywhere he attends. After finishing second at Thunder on the Downs, Callum Walker will be one driver to watch as will Bryan Mann who makes a welcome return to Toowoomba. 20 Midgets have assembled for tonight’s fixture and last weekend’s winner Charlie Brown will look to continue his good form. Brown was sensational last Saturday night being home Michael Kendall and Scott Farmer. Darren Vine, Troy Ware and Brock Dean will be among the drivers to watch along with Jayden Peacock who normally runs a Sprintcar will make his debut in a Midget. Formula 500 have nominated with a solid field of 16 drivers for the opening round of the Main Street Automotive Series. Liam Williams dominated last weekend in Brisbane but will have a revved-up Queensland Champion in James Kennedy ready to fire after he wasn’t able to finish last weekend’s event. Making up the program tonight will be 11 Lightning Sprints and 7 V8 Dirt Modifieds. Despite the smaller car counts in these two divisions, the field are full of quality. In the Lightning Sprints, Toowoomba Scott Genrich will take on the likes of Jason Rae, Wayne Iacono, Keith Blatch and Tyler Stralow, while in the V8 Dirt Modifieds, Australia Champion Kevin Britten (another of the drivers doing double duty this weekend – Sprintcars & Dirt Modifieds) will be challenged by former National Champion David Clark and current Queensland Super Sedan Champion Matt Pascoe who will pilot the Ray Klarich owned Q95. Thank you to everyone that attended our opening show, the feedback we’ve received has been positive and we look forward to continuing to provide you with the best possible shows and entertainment throughout the rest of the season. TOOWOOMBA SPEEDWAY VENUE INFORMATION

IMPORTANT NOTICE Ticket and credential holders are reminded that Speedway Racing is dangerous, and accident can happen. All care is taken to protect you, but you are warned that there is a possibility of an accident-causing injury, death, or property damage. By the issue of this ticket or credential to you, you hereby acknowledge that the entry to the speedway grounds has a degree of danger and the promoter, clubs, corporations, organisations, and persons having any connection with the promoting, organising and conduct of the event shall have no liability except with regard to any rights you have arising under the Trade Practices Act 1974. Vehicles are permitted to enter and park on the condition that the owners and the occupiers of the facility are not under any liability whether contract or in tort and whether for negligence or as an occupier or on any other basis or for any cause of action, for loss of or damage to, the vehicle or its contents no matter how or where such may be caused. FOOD There are several food and drink outlets situated surrounding the track. A wide variety of hot and cold food is available for purchase, as well as hot and cold drinks. ALCOHOL Toowoomba Speedway is strictly a NO B.Y.O. track. Management and security reserve the right upon entrance to the venue to inspect bags, eskies or containers for the presence of alcohol. Alcohol is available for purchase at the “Legends Bar” which is located in turn two. Please consume alcohol in the designed areas only as this is a family friendly venue. RESTROOM FACILITIES Men’s, Ladies and Disabled toilet facilities are available in both the pits and the public areas. They are regularly cleaned throughout each event, but please let our staff know if they need attention. SMOKING AREAS By law, smoking is only permitted in the three designated smoking areas in the venue. No food or beverage can be consumed in these areas. Security will enforce this law and non-compliance will be met with forced removal from the venue. Please co-operate to make Hi-Tec Oils Speedway a family friendly venue. Smoking areas are located behind the spectator mound in turn 3 (near to the toilet block), at the bottom of the concrete walk away at the bottom of turn 2 and next to the main grandstand in turn 1. PIT AREA RESTRICTION Unfortunately, we must restrict access to the pits unless you have a “pit pass”. We welcome you to look at the cars and talk to the drivers after the race meeting, but we must ask that you refrain from this area during the race meeting. Dress code for the pit area requires that closed shoes must be worn. If you want to gain access to the pits during a race meeting, you can purchase a “Pit Entry Pass” from the Pit gates for only $20.00. You must be over 16 years of age to upgrade to a Pit Entry Pass. The Pit Area is an alcohol-free zone at all times. We welcome you to come down to the pits for free, after the meeting has finished, to get your favourite drivers autograph! EVENT CANCELLATION (RAINOUT)


A RAINOUT IS DEFINED AS FIVE (5) EVENTS OR LESS BEING SUCCESSFULLY DECLARED COMPLETED. In the event of a declared rainout or for any other mechanical or electrical malfunctions or any other unforeseen circumstances beyond the promoter’s control, Hi-Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedway will honour rainchecks, but will not refund any money under any circumstance. If you have pre-purchased tickets online, and we have to cancel the event prior to the commencement of racing, we will offer a refund or an exchange of tickets to another event. Your numbered ticket stub is your raincheck. Hold all original tickets. No replacements will be given for lost, or tampered tickets. Rainchecks will be honoured at any one (1) event (of equal or lesser value, not higher priced) at Hi-Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedway in the same racing season. Not transferable to future seasons. How to use a Rain Out ticket:

1. Choose an ‘equal or lesser priced’ event, from our current season calendar. 2. Present your ticket to the cashier at the gate 3. The cashier will check your number ticket stub for validity 4. If valid, you will be provided with a new ticket to enter the event.

Will Power was born in Toowoomba in 1981 and started his racing career competing regularly at Warwick and Stanthorpe. Power cut his teeth in numerous divisions including a racing a Datsun 1200 originally. He then moved through Formula Ford, Formula Holden before debuting in Formula 3 during the 2002 season. Will has since had a very successful international racing career. He is currently competing in the Indy Car Series in America for the Penske Racing Team. Power won the Indy Car Series in 2014. In 2018, Power won the Indianapolis 500 and continues to be a main force in the Indy Car Series in America. The Will Power 500 is a race named to honour his contribution to motorsport and given Toowoomba is Will’s home it is only fitting this race is named after him. Let’s hope we can get Will in a Sprintcar one day for it. The 500 relates to Toowoomba being approx. 500m above sea level.
