ITINERARYJuly 12 – Depart OmahaDepart today from one of our pick-up points to Omaha’s Eppley Airfield, where we make a connection for our overnight flight to Paris, France.

July 13 – Paris / Honfleur, FranceGood morning and welcome to Paris! Upon arrival, we’ll board our transfer to Honfleur, located in northern France’s Normandy region and check-in to our centralized accommodations. Here, enjoy free time this afternoon in this pretty harbor town and come together for dinner this evening at a local restaurant. (D)

July 14 – Normandy Beaches / EmbarkationToday we enjoy a full-day guided excursion to the Normandy Beaches! Our first stop is at Pointe du Hoc, the scene of one of the landings on June 6, 1944. We’ll also make a stop at Omaha Beach, Colleville sur Mer and its American cemetery. After lunch, continue to Arromanches, the site of the famous battle and its artificial port, installed to allow the invasion of land troops and their equipment, and stop at Arromanches 360 to watch the film “The Price of Liberty” it its circular room. The film combines archived footage filmed in 1944 by war correspondents with current shots from the same site. We’ll visit Gold Beach, Juno Beach and Sword Beach on our way back to Honfleur. Early this evening we arrive at CroisiEurope’s intimate MS Renoir for embarkation. After comfortably settling into your cabins, the crew will be introduced over a welcome cocktail before dinner. The rest of the evening is free for you to explore your home for the next six nights! (B, L, D)

July 15 – Honfleur, France / Cote FleuriThis morning we meet up with our local guide and set off for a walking tour of Honfleur, located at the mouth of the Seine. Untouched by the passage of time, this small port has kept the landmarks of its rich past, making it one of the most visited towns in France. The towns narrow houses squeezed against each other are quite a unique sight! This afternoon we meet our motorcoach and enjoy a tour along Cote Fleuri – otherwise known as the Flowery Coast. Stop in Deauville, the French city known for glamour, elegance, prestige and sophistication. Stop at Breuil castle, located in a lush green setting and one of the most beautiful examples of architectural heritage of this region. The castle is also home to a prestigious distillery, where we’ll get the chance to discover the various steps to making Calvados before tasting it! Then, return to our ship this evening and begin to set sail down the Seine! (B, L, D)

July 16 – Norman Abbey Circuit / RouenToday enjoy a guided tour on the Norman Abbey Circuit to see the ruins of one of the most magnificent abbeys in France. Our travels take us to Jumieges Abbey, the cloisters and the ruins of the Church of Saint Peter and the Abbey of Saint Wandrille, a highly spiritual monument founded in the 11th century where a congregation of Benedictine monks remain to this day. Later, return to the boat and set sail for Rouen, where you’ll be able to enjoy some time on your own. (B, L, D)
