Business Example
Bryce the accountant, wanted to have the option to manage and monitor the trucks’ value.
After you introduced him to the Fixed Assets solution in SAP Business One, he decided to enable it in the company database.
You help him to set it up in the system.
OEC Computers utilizes a small fleet of delivery trucks.
As the company purchases the trucks, they want to set them up as assets.

System Initialization - Steps
To start working with the Fixed Assets solution you should follow these steps:
1. Activate the new solution.
2. For each type of asset the company owns, configure a set of definitions.
3. Define an Asset Master Data record for each asset.
4. Attach the relevant set of definitions to each asset master data.
5. Define document numbering for the fixed asset documents the company is going to work with.

Migrate to the New Fixed Asset Solution
Migration of existing fixed asset data to the new solution:
• Asset Master Data.
• G/L Account Determination
• For existing documents you can choose between two options.
The user will define • Asset areas and asset classes.
The transfer to the new structure will be possible• Only after a fiscal year change and at the first day of the next period.
