The Healing Blanket ministry is a project of a group of moms that sew each of them by hand. They are directed by Susan Deraney. This blanket provides much comfort & prayerful support during a persons journey through illness loneliness, treatments, etc. The intention behind the blankets is that the recipients (whatever the age, illness or injury may be) receive healing in mind, body and spirit and know that they are not alone. Anyone who requests a blanket receives one and at no charge. Each blanket is accompanied by a booklet entitled “Covered in Prayer”, which includes prayers for all occasions. To obtain a blanket or to help make these blankets please contact the Parish Office at 847-1393. To date we have given out 60 blankets. What Makes a Dad
God took the strength of a mountain
The majesty of a tree The warmth of a summer sun
The calm of a quiet sea The generous soul of nature The comforting arm of night
The wisdom of the ages The power of the eagle’s flight The joy of a morning in spring The faith of a mustard seed
The patience of eternity The depth of a family need
Then God combined these qualities When there was nothing more to add
He knew His masterpiece was complete And so, He called it ...Dad

WE WELCOME OUR SUMMER VISITORS TO HOLY ROSARY AND HOPE THAT YOUR STAY IN THE LAKES COUNTRY OF MINNESOTA IS PLEASANT!
NOTES FROM MONSIGNOR. TIM: WE CONGRATULATE FATHER MICHAEL AREY who was ordained to the priesthood for the Diocese of Crookston yesterday in the Cathedral Church at Crookston. He will celebrate his first Mass today at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Moorhead. We rejoice with him and his family and look forward to his joining us here at Holy Rosary in July! OUR CELEBRANT FOR MASS THIS WEEKEND is Father Matt Schmitz, associate pastor of Sacred Heart Parish in East Grand Forks. Father Matt is the Promoter of Vocations for the Diocese of Crookston and will be speaking on Vocations. (Msgr. Tim is attending Father Michael Arey’s first Mass today in Moorhead and is grateful for Father Matt’s presence here at Holy Rosary). THANK YOU TO ALL who attended Father Andrew’s Farewell Mass and Dinner. It was a huge success. Thanks to all who brought a dish to share. ELEMENTS OF THE CATHOLIC MASS: Today we continue a series of short presentations on the elements of the Catholic Mass. Each of these presentations is three to five minutes in length and will begin just prior to the start of each of the weekend Masses. This is just another way can further inform our people of what we are doing and why we are doing this at Mass. I know that you will like these short presentations! COLLECTION FOR RETIRED PRIESTS: Our second collection this weekend will be the annual collection for the retired priests of our diocese. The proceeds of this collection help fund the supplemental health insurance for the retired priests of our diocese. Thanks for your generosity! I NEED TO APOLIGIZE TO MOST EVERYONE who has been a contact of mine in my email account. A large number of folks received an email in my name in regard to receiving a package and my request for a large sum of money. Apparently my email address was hacked. Hence the crooked email. To those who received one I am sorry but I guess in the technological age anything can happen. As I have said often before, I will take the thousand lashes for your trouble!
Happy Father’ s Day Bless ings to al l the Dad’s!

actions . "But when he comes,
the Spirit of truth, he will guide you to all truth..." (John 16:13)
Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to help us know and live the
truth. To prepare ourselves, we need to open our hearts to
receive this gift before we can give it. Develop a daily prayer routine. Talk and listen to the
Holy Spirit. This is best done in
silence, when we can hear His
response.

H SPITALITY Did you know… The coffee and
donuts that are served after the 10:00 am Sunday Mass are served in the Parish Living Room by our youth of the Parish? Each week a different family helps serve coffee and donuts. Proceeds from that week goes into their individual accounts to help defray the costs of many different trips and events they participate in. The Living Room is open for you to sit and so-cialize with other members of the church. And of course the kids love it too! It’s a win- win event!
