5. People recognize each other as such from the sound of this voice.

•People sound differently from each other.•People talk in different ways and voices.

6. Internet is enabling conversations among human beings that were simply not possible in the era of mass media.

•The Internet has enabled us to communicate with other people in a faster way.

• It has enabled us to converse with others with no constraints.

7. Hyperlinks subvert hierarchy.

•Hyperlinks have no boundary. As we go further, the path becomes wider.

• It always leads us someplace else.

8. In both internetworked markets and among intranetwork employees, people are speaking to each other in a powerful new way.

•As soon as we connect to the Internet, we are already conversing with other people worldwide.

Page 6: 95 Theses 5 14

9. These networked conversations are enabling powerful new forms of social organization and knowledge exchange to emerge.

•As we go to the Internet, we find useful information, thus we gain new knowledge.

•Networked conversations allowed us to exchange ideas with others and form new ones.

•Through conversing with other people, we form a social organization.

10. As a result, markets are getting smarter, more informed, more organized. Participation in a networked market changes people fundamentally.

•We become more informed and smarter because we ask questions from other people who are more knowledgeable than us.

Page 8: 95 Theses 5 14

11. People in networked markets have figured out that they get far better information and support from one another than from vendors. So much for corporate rhetoric about adding value to commoditized products.

•People prefer it much more to consult ‘honest’ people (those who have experience with the product or services) rather than inquire from vendors.

12. There are no secrets. The networked market knows more than companies do about their own products. And whether the news is good or bad, the tell everyone.

•Companies are too busy bossing their workers around that they have no idea about what to do with their own products.

Page 10: 95 Theses 5 14

13. What’s happening to markets is also happening among employees. Metaphysical construct called “the company” is the only thing standing between the two.

•People (referred to as markets) and employees are the same.

•Companies serve as a boundary between the two.

Page 11: 95 Theses 5 14

14. Corporations do not speak in the same voice as these new networked conversations. To their intended online audiences, companies sound hallow, flat, literally inhuman

•Corporations lie. They only tell us good things about them.

•Corporations always make themselves look perfect in the public.

•Networked conversations are more honest.
