The combination of passive Infrared (PIR) motion detection and a photosensor enables daytime and nighttime operation for optimal security and energy savings. The 360-degree look-down anti-creep protection provides additional security. The FLEX-230 provides single-pole, single phase circuit control at 120-277 VAC. The ball head and housing offers robust adjustment in aiming the sensor to enable a wide variety of coverage and mounting orientation. The plug base and socket construction simplifies installation and maintenance. An accessory wire guard/basket cover is available to protect the sensor from vandalism and tampering. All of the settings of the FLEX-230 are remotely adjusted using our iOS or Android smartphone app. Mechanical adjustments can be made for range, time- out, and daylight level threshold. Masking blinds are included to limit the detection coverage pattern and range in certain applications to prevent false triggers and interference. OPERATION The FLEX-230 detects both motion and the ambient light level and then automates the lights according to the parameters set by the building management. Using the factory settings, the integrated light sensor constantly measures the ambient light, and if the light level is below the set threshold the lights will be switched on when motion is detected. If the ambient light level is above the set threshold, the lights will not be allowed to come on. If no motion is detection for the duration of the time-out period, at the end the lights will turn off. The FLEX-230 offers a robust set of adjustable parameters to optimally fine-tune sensor operation and performance for the application.
