The object that is inserted first will be positioned at the bottom of the stack. The next inserted object will be above the first object. You can change the order in which objects overlap by moving them backward and forward in the stack. 5. On the Format tab, in the Picture Styles group, click the Picture Effects button, and thenpoint to Preset. Under Presets, click the first style in the first row—Preset 1. Compare yourslide with Figure 1.

6. On the Insert tab, in the Illustrations group, click the Shapes button. UnderRectangles, click the first shape—Rectangle. Click anywhere on the slide todraw a square. On the Format tab, in the Size group, change the number in theShape Height box to 5 and change the number in the Shape Width box to8 and then press J.

7. On the Format tab, in the Arrange group, click the Align button , and then click Align Center. In the Arrange group, click the Align button again, andthen click Align Middle.

The inserted rectangle is above the picture in the stack of objects and coversthe picture.

8. On the Format tab, in the Shape Styles group, click the Shape Effects button,and then point to Preset. Under Presets, click the fourth style in the first row—Preset 4.

9. On the Format tab, in the Arrange group, click the Send Backward button, and then compare your slide with Figure 2.

The rectangle is sent backward behind the picture so that the picture displays on top of the rectangle and appears to be framed by the rectangle.

Object Order Options

Option Description

Bring Forward Moves the selected object one object closer to the top ofthe stack.

Bring to Front Places the selected object in front of all other overlappingobjects.

Send Backward Moves the selected object one object closer to the bottomof the stack.

Send to Back Places the selected object behind all other overlappingobjects.

10. Review the object order options that are available in the Arrange group, as summarized inthe table in Figure 3.

Bring to Front is accessed by clicking the Bring Forward button arrow, and Send toBack is accessed by clicking the Send Backward button arrow.

11. Insert a Header & Footer on the Notes and Handouts. Include the Date and time,a Page number, and the Footer Lastname_Firstname_p03_Park

12. Save the presentation. Print or submit the file as directed by your instructor.
