Remove screw covers from trimpanel below steering column andremove screws from behind cov-ers. Lower the trim panel (it is notnecessary to remove the panel). (Figure B)

Remove (3) Phillips head screwsfrom bottom of steering columnhousing and remove both upperand lower sections of housing.

Remove (1) Phillips head screwfrom outside left edge of dash and(2) Phillips head screws from nearhood release. (Figure C)

Loosen nut behind hood releaseand remove lower left side dashtrim. (Figure C)

Cut and remove mounting tabs “B”from Radio Housing #2. (The tabs canbe identified by the letter stamped onthe back of each tab.) (Figure A)
Cut and remove mounting tabs “A” fromRadio Housing #2 and the mountingbrackets. (The tabs can be identified bythe letter stamped on the back of eachtab.) Locate the scored line on the backof the radio housing and break awaythe bottom portion of the housing asshown. (Figure C)

Slide the radio into the DINcage/housing assembly until itsnaps into place. (Figure C)

Continue to final assembly.
Slide the DIN cage into the radiohousing and secure by bending themetal locking tabs outward. (Figure B)

Locate the factory wiring harness in the dash. Metra recommends using the proper mating adapter and making connections as shown. (Isolate and individ-ually tape off the ends of any unused wires to prevent electrical short circuit.)
Re-connect the negative battery terminal and test the unit for proper operation.
Reassemble radio and dash assemblies in reverse order of disassembly.
