PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

Jeff Ottmar serves as an Advisor for SVN, and is the West Coast Chair of the SVN National Self Storage Specialty Practice Group specializing in

the purchase and sale of Self Storage properties. Since 1994, Jeff has participated in the development and acquisition of over 75 Self Storage

properties valued at over $400 million and more recently has brokered over $30 million in commercial transactions.

Jeff began his real estate career with industry leader Shurgard Storage, starting as a project manager in the Seattle region, serving the entire

west coast of the country. In 1999, Jeff moved to the Long Island office of Shurgard where he developed Self Storage facilities in the New York

City and Philadelphia markets. Jeff moved to Safeguard Storage in 2002 as Vice President of Development on the east coast and served in that

position until 2007. Since 2008, Jeff has brokered numerous transactions in Washington State and Idaho including exclusive representation of

McDonald’s and deals involving Trader Joe’s, Subway, Enterprise Rent-a-Car, AutoZone and Self Storage properties among others. Jeff is a

member of the Self-Storage Association (SSA), the national trade organization representing Self Storage owners, operators, and vendors within

the industry and a member of the Washington SSA and other state self-storage associations.

Jeff earned his bachelor’s degree from Washington State University, where he majored in Finance and minored in Real Estate. Jeff resides with his

wife and 3 children in the Spokane, Washington area.
