Case Study #1 Minor Customization

Original Graham Floorplan

The Warrens loved The Graham plan but wanted it to

fit their mountain lot. They needed the side entry to

be on the left of the home. In order to accommodate

that request, Custom Modular Homes USA facility

simply reversed the floorplan to put the breakfast nook

entry on the left side of the home. The Warrens

customized their plan further by adding a French door

from the nook to their rear deck used for grilling and

enjoying the cool mountain breezes. They also added

a rear door from their bedroom to a private patio from

their master suite.The mountainous terrain dictated a

basement for this home so the closet under the stairs

was removed and abasement entrance added in its

place. Lastly, to allow for more room in their shower,

the 4' shower in the master bathroom was replaced with

a 5' version.

Case Study #2 Moderate Customization

Original Salisbury Floorplan

The Mayos found the ideal home for their coastal property when

they saw The Salisbury plan from Custom Modular Homes

USA. They asked their builder if changes could be made to the

plan which were quickly answered affirmatively. They wanted

their master bedroom on the left side of the home so the

modules for thefirst floor master bedroom and utility room were

relocated to the other side of the Salisbury from the initial

plan. An L-shaped stair case was added in place of the

straight stair case. The family room and kitchen areas were

lengthened to provide more floor and cabinet space. A

kitchen pantry was added as well as French doors from the

kitchen to the sunroom. The utility room module was reworked

to provide a rear sunroom in place of the living room. The half

bath was incorporated into the utility room area and moved out

of the main foyer. Upstairs, three bedrooms were reduced to

two for their teenage girls who shared a large Jack & Jill

bathroom. A study was provided as a place for them to do

their homework and an access provided to a playroom above

the garage.

Case Study #3 Major Customization

Original Magnolia Floorplan

2nd Floor completed on-site by Builder

The Baileys loved the exterior elevation of The Magnolia plan but

wanted to make substantial changes to the interior to accom-

modate both their building lot and their lifestyle. The plan was

redesigned to take the great room and den spaces and combine

into one larger family room with built in bookcases and a TV

opening. The utility room and half bath area was made larger

and the two separated from one another. This allowed for an

easy breezeway connection to be added between the home and

the garage. A separate pantry was added for food storage. The

kitchen was made substantially larger to better accommodate

dishware and entertaining of family and friends. The addition of

a breakfast nook provided quaint family dining for the family of

four. The plan was changed from three bedrooms downstairs

to two to allow for a larger master bedroom suite while leaving

a bedroom for visitors. Upstairs, the expansive space provided

by The Magnolia allowed for two bedrooms for their two girls, a

large area for them and their friends to play in, an office for the

family to use and a conditioned storage area.
