The rain lashed at your face, neck and body as you staggered towards the apartment
block, the violin case on your back feeling heavy as you plod along desperately trying to
reach your destination. You had been taking violin lessons from a young mare by the name
of Octavia Pie for several weeks now, still not enough to claim any proficiency with the
instrument but you were slowly making your way through “Classical Strings for Dummies”
and she‟d finally stopped wincing whenever you put bow to instrument.
You‟d taken up the violin after seeing the beautiful and classy mare leaving the castle
after the Grand Galloping Gala that year with her decadent cello in tow, and often
wondered if she had any idea of your intention to get closer to her. You had initially
believed that the violin would have been relatively easy considering your experience in the
guitar, of which you considered yourself close to deity status in terms of skill (like practically
all guitarists, of course); fortunately she had never asked you if you had any experience in
another instrument, as you were unsure if the highly stylish mare would have approved of
your background in metal.
The few times that you‟d approached the subject of any sort of romance, such as
asking if she was seeing anyone, the result had always been the same; she‟d look at you
critically before tutting and trying to move on with the lesson. On all-hearts day, you‟d
taken great lengths to even send her a card; delicately making sure your writing was
readable but not recognisable, signed with a question mark and pushed through her

letterbox with a tray of beautifully decorated sugar cubes, along with a single rose. For the
next couple of lessons that you had, you saw the rose stood in a slim vase on her mantle,
until it finally wilted a couple of weeks later and you had been sad to see it gone when you
arrived one day.
Wandering past a local spa, you can see the block holding Octavia‟s apartment, the
room you believe to be where she sleeps has a light on, flickering as if lit with a candle and
you wonder if you can hear her playing over the rhythm of the raindrops pounding the
exposed cobbles or splashing into puddles. Treading through these increasingly deep pools,
you‟re almost knocked over by a pegasus coming to a crash landing after having been
thrown about in the wind. You ignore her apologies and continue to force your way
towards your goal, the wind blowing in your face, keeping your mane flush against your
back. As you get to the building, you let yourself in and trudge to the top floor, rapping
sharply on the door with a hoof.
Octavia opens it and stares at you, causing to look at yourself. You see that you‟re
thoroughly drenched still, water flowing out of your mane and fur and pooling on the floor,
many smaller pools having darkened the cream coloured carpet of the luxury block. She
sighs, taking the violin case from you and putting it inside, returning with a warm fluffy blue
towel.
“Here, dry off before you come in. I‟ve just cleaned.” She says, raising an eyebrow
and smiling.
“Something funny?” You ask, shaking out your mane and drying it on her doorstep.
“Oh, just a bit of schadenfreude.”
“Hmm, I don‟t know what that means.”
“It‟s Mecklenburgher for “amusement at the expense of others”; didn‟t you learn any
at school?”
“No. My family wasn‟t that well off.”

“Hah. Mine were rock farmers; you don‟t really get poorer than that. I was home
schooled between rotating our crop between fields.” She responded, frowning at your
excuse for not having learned any languages.
Feeling slightly stupid, you ask her if she enjoyed performing at the gala; she hadn‟t
wanted to talk about it before, and this time was no different. She turns away and walks
inside her apartment, and you half expect her to slam the door in your face, but you walk in
unimpeded, leaving the towel in the bathroom at Octavia‟s instruction.
Her flat is marvelously well furnished, everything inside oozed style and wealth; no
expense spared in things such as the marble fireplace, the thick off-white wool carpet slightly
tickling the pads of your hooves as you tread lightly in fear of marking anything. You enter
the living room and glance at a magazine on the coffee table; “New Music in Equestria”
were featuring your tutor this month in a piece titled “The Return of Classical Thunder”,
detailing how classically trained musicians were beginning to retake the charts from music
similar to that of DJ P0n3 and even entering the metal charts, bands such as DeathKlop
being overtaken by covers of classical tracks with rock instruments. The bass player of your
own band had launched into Beathoofen‟s fifth during a practice session a couple of weeks
ago completely at random, signaling mocking from the rest of the band before he took off in
a huff.
Octavia opens the case of your violin and curses loudly, way outside of her normal
calm character. You hear a splash, feeling water under your hooves and look up at her.
“Octavia? Are you alright?”
“I‟m fine, get a towel.” She replies, flinging your irreparably water-damaged violin in
front of the fireplace, flames roaring and wood crackling in the marble setting. The water
had built up in your case as you had carried it through the storm, and the filly was nowthoroughly soaked after she had opened the case. She slipped out of her trademark collar
and bow tie and laid them on the mantle, next to a downwards turned photograph. Bringing
a fresh towel, you smile at her, taking your opportunity to return the favour she had kindly
given you at her doorstep. Octavia stares for a moment at your smile, slowly catching on
and giving a wry grin in response.

“Well,” she says, drying herself, “Now I‟m as filthy as you.” You‟re sure that she‟s
being at least a little sarcastic, so you decide to push your luck as you wrap the towel around
her shoulders.
“Well, that‟s how you like me isn‟t it?”
As you had seen her do close to a hundred times now, Octavia looks you up and
down before tutting, shaking her head and trying to change the subject.
“Right, let‟s get practice started. I‟ve got something you can play seeing as your
violin is ruined. I imagine you‟ll find it easier to use as well.”
Octavia disappears for a moment before returning with the most beautifully crafted
guitar you have ever seen, the brilliant white body leading into the mahogany neck. You
notice that there appears to be no tuning pegs on the head of this extravagant instrument,
the hallmark of the unicorn known as Stratocaster, whose ability to make equipment that
would never lose its tuning was legendary in musical circles but made his instruments
incredibly expensive, not to mention hard to get a hold of. She passes you the guitar in a
manner not unlike a knighthood ceremony taking place in the halls of Canterlot castle,
allowing you to give it a brief strum.
“Knew it!” Octavia exclaims, her smile widening, “The moment you picked that
violin up for the first time, I knew you were a guitarist. It‟s to do with how you place your
hooves on the neck.”
“It‟s the most beautiful thing I‟ve ever seen...” you start, running a hoof along the
fretboard and giving it an experimental pluck to the tune of Stables in Heaven.
“Oh? I thought you‟d saved that prestigious title for me.” she responds, causing you
to pause momentarily as you caught on to what you had just said and how she had reacted. You couldn‟t see her face right now, but you knew that she‟d raised an eyebrow, in the
manner she always did, as if judging you. You bring yourself to look at her, staring into
those deep purple eyes.

„You didn‟t expect that... Did you?‟ her eyes betray the thought running around in
her head, giving you a light wave of relief.
“How about you play something for me? Maybe I could join in?” she asks, pointing
at her cello in the corner of the room, the bow next to it on the stand. You choose to play
Kashmir, by Led Pegasus, surprised that Octavia soon starts to play along with you after
fetching her instrument.
“Do you know this song?” You ask, still playing.
“Of course, it‟s a classic. You should hear me play it on the violin; I cover Raising
Sand‟s vocals rather than the actual music on the violin though” She responds, eyes closed
as she manoeuvres the bow skillfully across the strings of her cello, filling in where a bass
guitarist would normally play for the song. She appears to lose herself, the passion of the
piece playing her as much as she plays the instrument.
You eventually stop playing just to watch her lost in her throes, her head thrashing as
she begins to aggressively handle the cello, your mouth hanging in awe as she improvises
the end to the song; coming too and finding that part of her mane had fallen out of the
elasticated loop holding it back, the strand framing the left side of her face. Not wanting to
damage the beautiful guitar in your hooves, you place it on an empty stand near to where
you are sitting, eyes still watching Octavia.
Her eyes flash open with a manic expression quite unlike anything you‟d ever seen in
the normally reserved mare. She immediately puts her cello back on its stand, strides over to
you and presses her lips against yours, full of passion and fire, hungrily exploring your
mouth with her tongue.
As she kisses you, you can feel the fine hair used to form the “blade” of Octavia‟s
bow being drawn across your face. Opening your eyes, you realise that it must have been
made using her own charcoal grey tail hair, something typical of string instrument artists of
a certain skill. The two of you keep kissing for some time, her occasionally running the
blade of the bow against your coat, the fibres from her tail rubbing through your fur and
against your skin in an oddly pleasurable manner. As she kisses you, you begin to trail your

hooves up and down her body, running along her spine eventually stopping and moving
down to the treble clef upon her flank, following the circle of the symbol and causing her to
moan slightly into your mouth before deepening the kiss, hungrily lapping at your tongue
with hers, breaths forced in and out through her nose. She suddenly breaks away blushing;
“Oh... I‟m sorry, it‟s just I...” she starts, looking at herself on top of you, straddling
your legs with her forehooves on her chest.
“Lost in the moment?” You ask, “It‟s fine, I was enjoying it.” you finish, raising a
hoof to her chin and gently stroking her. She responds by leaning in once more, wrapping
her forelegs around your neck as she nuzzles and kisses you. Her hooves begin to wander,
playing with your mane as you pull the loop out of hers, causing her hair to cascade down
either side of her face.
A light moisture on one of your hind legs informs you that the mare in your hooves
is incredibly aroused as she continues to let you rub at her rump, eventually guiding your
hoof to the base of her tail, encouraging you to run it up and down her lower spine. You
occasionally break apart from the long slow kisses she is giving you to try and find your
breath, watching Octavia‟s hips move as she pulls your head into her neck, swinging her
mane to the other side. You smile as you deeply inhale her somewhat herbal scent,
somewhere between basil and rosemary - a savoury flavour that for some reason drives you
wild. You‟re thrilled that she is enjoying the sensation of rubbing herself against you, your
own arousal becoming as obvious as hers with every sniff of her scent.
She breaks the kiss to look at you, briefly and cheekily swatting at you with the bow,
making you give a playful gasp as you lean in to nuzzle her chest before being denied.
“Come down onto the rug with me, in front of the fire.” She asks, running a grey
hoof down your sternum, before pecking you on the muzzle with her lips. Letting her firstclimb off of you, you join her on the long rug on the floor, obviously designed for comfort in
front of the blazing flames that make you warmer than you had been on the sofa with
Octavia. She lays on her back, motioning you over her with a hoof, wrapping her forelegs
around you and pulling you down to her eager and hungry lips. You start to explore her

flank with your hoof-tip again, pressing gently and working in small circles, her breathing
beginning to become laboured as her eyes close.
She shakes slightly, her forelegs releasing you to kiss down her body, her hooves
running through your mane as you first breathe into her fur and then place a kiss on the
same spot, all the while still rubbing the beautiful treble clef cutie mark that you had come
to adore. Her hooves are now starting to rub almost aggressively at the side of your head,
sometimes your ears are pinched between them as she seems to be losing control once more,
causing you to let out your own brief moan of pleasure. Working down to her abdomen,
you feel her back arch... She‟s very close.
Deciding to go for the gold medal, so to speak, you keep kissing every inch of her;
listening to her heavy breaths become long, drawn out moans, her hooves still buried deep
in your unkempt mane, directing your head as you work, lower and lower. She quivers,
repeating your name as you discover a particularly sensitive spot on her abdomen, a good
six inches above what you had thought was the original destination she had been guiding
you to. She moves awkwardly, trying to put her hind legs over your shoulders, squeezing
your neck gently as your hooves support her still arched spine, all the while holding your
face to the spot slightly below her stomach.
Suddenly, and quite to your surprise, your breaths into her fur combined with the
kisses, cause her to start to shake, hooves forcing your face into her stomach, holding you
closely as she reaches the apex of her pleasure, her groans reaching high pitched shrieks
before she falls back, finished, complete and still slightly lost in her lust. Still trembling from
your own slight lack of oxygen after how tightly she had gripped you, almost smothering
you from holding you so close, you untangle yourself from her limbs and plant a gentle kiss
on her forehead.
Rolling her onto her side, you lay down behind her, putting your hooves with hers
from behind, holding and gently kissing the sleepy mare.
“Did you enjoy that?”
“Yes... I‟m really sorry that I lost control like that though, I feel like I may have
taken advantage of you.” Octavia says, turning her head to look at you, blushing slightly.

You giggle, still slightly giddy about what had happened between you, before awkwardly
leaning over and planting a kiss on her lips.
“It was nice, I never figured you‟d be so... wild.”
“Yeah... It‟s something of a f amily trait. Thankfully it only really comes out if I lose
myself in the music. My sister... Now she‟s an odd one.” she chuckles, opening up a little
more as if trying to change the subject again.
“How do you mean?”
“Well, she‟s always been a little crazy. She left our family after realising her calling,
organising parties, I left shortly after that. I hadn‟t seen her for years...”
“She was at the gala, wasn‟t she? Did you get to talk to her?” you respond, putting
two and two together from her refusal to talk about the gala and this new revelation about
her having family.
“She didn‟t even recognise me. Even when requesting that stupid song , she didn‟t even
realise who she was talking to; her own little sister.”
She begins to shake again, this time from sorrow rather than pleasure. Realising that
Octavia is crying, you lean up and pull her into your forelegs, cradling her head as she
weeps, using your mane to soak the tears up.
“Octavia, I think you need to go and talk to her. Track her down, she can‟t be that
hard to find. You said yourself that she left so long ago, maybe she had been forcing her
feelings down too? Maybe she felt too guilty to acknowledge you that night?”
“I... I guess you could be right.” she replies, “I‟m really sorry about all of this. I
didn‟t mean for any of it to happen, I mean, I do like you, I guess that‟s why I agreed togiving you these lessons, even though you were so obviously a guitarist. I just didn‟t think
I‟d break down like this.”
You kiss her cheek and squeeze her close.

“Look, I‟ll stay here tonight, that storm is probably still going and I want to take care
of you. You‟re special to me. Would that be alright?”
She nods, bringing her face into your neck once again, large tears dripping into your
coat as you hold her, placing a kiss on her brow and stroking her charcoal grey mane.
The two of you spend the rest of the night cuddling in front of the fire. She eventually
stops crying and falls asleep in your hooves as you continue to stroke her in front of the fire.
You sigh, watching the flames die down before falling asleep yourself.
She certainly was a great deal more complicated than you thought.

“So class, any questions?”
Miss Cheerilee, the local Ponyville teacher, was finishing up for the day while you
stood quietly in the background. When you first volunteered at the school, your first job was
to help out Cheerilee with her class. Apparently you made quite an impression, as you had
been unexpectedly been asked to return the next day, and from then on you became part of
Cheerilee daily lesson plans. Cheerilee herself was phenomenally beautiful with firm, but
caring approach. Seeing this as a rare opportunity to work with such a well-respected pony,
you immediately accepted the offer.
During your time at the school you had done much more than you were asked, from
helping the kids with their learning to cleaning up after hours, partly out of respect, but
mainly just to help take the load off of her. In a way, you had become somewhat of a
teaching assistant to her.
There had been a few moments that of slight discomfort however. A few weeks ago
the when the children had asked if you and Cheerilee were husband and wife, the normally
calm teacher acted in total shock, denying everything as quickly as physically possible. This
only made the class more curious however, and they started to deep deeper.

“Really you‟re not? I don„t believe it?” Applebloom blurted out from the back of the
room.
“But you to would be sooooo cute together Miss.” said Twist, her curly ginger hair
flying about in all directions.
“Well children, love isn‟t just about how people look. It‟s… about how you feel
inside and…”
Sensing that it was getting as awkward as when you both had to teach the class the
difference between colts and fillies, you step in.
“It‟s… well it‟s about doing anything for each other, even if you don‟t want to. It‟s
about liking someone despite all their imperfections. Whether it be the love between a
husband and wife or a filly and their parents or even between friends, it‟s all the same.”
The children seemed content with the matter; even though you never really answered
their questions, and Cheerilee gives you a thank you sigh. You simply respond by tipping
your invisible hat, causing her to giggle under her breath.
It wasn‟t till earlier when you finally got a chance to talk outside work though. After
finishing up early on a Friday afternoon, she unexpectedly accepted your invitation to go for
a quick glass of apple cider. The idea of a quick glass soon went out of the window however,
and over the next few hours, mixed in with a few bar games, you sat down and talked. You
learnt that she was a fan of romantic novels, and that she had never been in a proper
relationship due to committing most of her time at the school. She seemed perfect, and far
too good for you; but here you were spending your evening with her. Things were perfect.
After a few more drinks, you both decide to walk home when things suddenly turned
sour. When chatting about your favourite ponies round Ponyville, you accidentallyadmitted that you have a slight crush on her; something she took very personally.
“„So who have you met around then? I take it you know Applebloom‟s sister?”
“Applejack, yeah she invited me round hers a few times for you know, apple related
stuff.”

“Oh, that‟ll be the apple family for you, crazy ponies, in a good way of course. What
about Mrs. and Mr. Cake?”
“Oh, such nice people- so generous as well.”
“Come then, tell me out of ALL the ponies you‟ve meet so far in Ponyville, who‟s
your favourite then?”
“Oh that‟s a though one….” As you said this, Cheerilee looks down in slight
disappointment.
“Best… looking then?”
“Ah, that one‟s easy considering I‟m standing next to her” you say with a slight
smile on your face.
Cheerilee looked seemingly happy for a second before gradually starting to look
upset.
“Oh, so that‟s how it is then” she said, her pace picking up to a brisk walk, “after I
told you I„ve never…. I … I thought I could trust you.”
“Wait what?”
“ „An easy one?‟ That‟s what you said. So that‟s what you think.”
“Please Cheerilee, I didn‟t mean ….”
“No, I thought this was two friends going out after work, not a … URGGG and to
think I genuinely thought that you liked me.”
“Wait I do like you…”
“I knew it”
“Oh please... then why did you get me to work with you in the classroom? And why
did you come out tonight then?”

“Because the kids like you and I just…. Wait are you implying that this is MY fault?
Because you know as well as I do that I‟m not like that and that the children come first
and…”
You stop to find that you‟re outside of her house.
“Why are you so offended- it was just a complement! Oh just forget it... I‟ll see you
on Monday.”
Embarrassed by such a blunt rejection, you storm off and go home. While you
always doubted she had any feelings for you; you didn‟t think that she would be that so
offended by such a simple gesture.
Who knows what Monday‟s going to be like now…
___
The next morning you get waken by a knocking on your door. Answering it, you‟re
surprised to see Spike and Twilight at your door.
“Spike? *yawn* Twilight? What are you doing here; it‟s like… 6 in the morning?”
“Umm… its 1 o'clock in the afternoon” Twilight said, seemly confused by your
timekeeping.
“Spike has something he needs to give you. Show it Spike”
The purple dragon holds out a neatly rolled scroll in front of you.
“Came this morning, I don‟t know what Celestia would need from you though.”
You open up the letter and start to read it.

Good morning my loyal friend.
I humbly request your assistance in helping locate a rare flower Paouse Camo, located
near the Peak of Dragon Mountain. It will be a day-long trip, but with the map enclosed and
the necessary equipment it should be a safe one.
Yours gracefully
Princess Celestia
Ps: I have enlisted Miss. Daisy to help you with your quest; I heard you two have been
working together recently and her expertise will surely come in handy. You should try to see her
as soon as possible.
Cheerilee? Oh what irony, but you can‟t turn down a request from the princess; if
she‟s asking you it must be important. Thanking Twilight and Spike; you pack the
necessarily materials and head over to Cheerilee‟s house.
___
“You‟re late”
”Sorry, I only just got the message. We should get going if we want to be back before
sundown.”
“Yeah…”

You could sense the hostility from miles away. For the last hour you had spoken
only in small sentences; a long way from the chatter you had back in the classroom.
“How far now?”
“About 10 miles”
“About 10 miles?”
“More or less”
“So you don‟t know”
“Yes, it‟s about 10 miles”
“But it could be 11 or 9 miles?”
“Yes, that‟s what about 10 miles means. Why?”
“Oh, I just don‟t want you getting us lost”
“Fine, you guide us then……………………..wait, are you sure that‟s the right way?”
“Oh just trust me I„m a teacher, I‟ve had to read a map before.”
___
You had just made it about a quarter of the way up the trail. Fresh snow was now
covering the floor and the temperature had started to drop below comfortable conditions.
But the view was spectacular; you could see the whole of Ponyville and even as far as
Trottenham from up here. Combined with the snow-covered pine trees in the foreground, it
made for a spectacular sight.
Cheerilee however, didn‟t seem to be enjoying herself as much. Seeing that she was
shaking in the cold, you take off your jacket and put it over her shoulders.
“What do you think you‟re doing?”
“Warming you up”

“I don‟t need warming up, THANK YOU. I‟m fine”
She pushes your jacket off of her and walks off ahead. You decide she needs her
space and keep back.
___
About three-quarters of the way up the mountain, you realise you were lost. Even
worse news was the rapidly declining weather. It was sure to become a full blown blizzard
now.
“Look what you‟ve done” Cheerilee says, her voice distorted by the wind and snow.
“Me? You‟re the one with the map!”
“Oh sure, blame me then.”
“Well you where the one who got us lost. I think it‟s fair to say that it‟s at least 80%
your fault”
“I followed the map precisely. Your compass must be off. And besides if you didn‟t
make things so… awkward then this would never have happened!”
“ME make it awkward? You‟re the one who took something completely out of
context…”
“You were trying to take advantage of me. I‟ve read about it in my studies the
percentage rates of dates where…”
“Look it was just a joke, that‟s ALL. I didn‟t think you would get so upset about it.”
The blizzard was getting extremely harsh now. But in the distance you think you can
see the outline of a … yes, a cabin. „What are the chances of that‟ you think, but you decide
that this is not the time to count your blessing.
You grab Cheerilee‟s hoof and drag her towards the cabin.

Hurrying over to it, you enter to see it was deserted; empty but for a pile of firewood
in the corner with a red axe sticking out of one of the logs. But it was secure and it kept you
out of the wind, which was all that really mattered.
You lay down a blanket and put down your bag. Taking off your jacket, you toss it at
the still shivering Cheerilee.
“I don‟t need a…”
“Then don‟t wear it. I‟m going to get a fire going.”
For the next few minutes you start to go all Pony Grylls in trying to get a fire going
in the fireplace. When you‟re done, you turn around to see Cheerilee, now covering herself
with your jacket, moving up next to the newly-born fire. Still, you were annoyed at her for
getting you lost, so you decide to lie at the other end, pull the blanket over you and close
your eyes.
“... a… joke?”
Still half asleep, you struggle to wake up.
“Look *yawn* I‟m sorry. I should never of said it ...you‟re just too good of a friend
to loose over something stupid like that.”
She nervously starts rubbing the floor with her hoof.
„I hate to ask this, but… I‟m cold and I was wandering if…‟
“Jump in. It‟s not exactly the Princess‟ bed, but it‟s still a million times better than
the Ponyville hotel.”
Laughing under her breath, she climbs in next to you. You instantly feel better when
you feel the warmth of her body.
“I‟m sorry to. I shouldn‟t have reacted like that. It‟s just you hear about all these
other ponies, and I don‟t…”
“Don‟t worry; I wasn‟t planning on doing anything. I‟m not THAT stupid”

“Oh please, you‟re not stupid, you just have manners … that„s rare nowadays.” You
turn to face her.
“And besides, it‟s not like you would be the worst person to, you know... have my
first kiss with.”
“I could say the same for you.”
“You‟ve never…”
“Ha, are you kidding. I don‟t have to nerve or the patience to try and flirt with any
other girl.”
“Oh… oh no I‟m really sorry. Now it‟s all ruined.” You notice a tear run start to run
down her face.
“Wait sorry about what?”
“For getting us lost up here... it‟s all my fault and now we‟re going to die.”
“Look let‟s be honest here, if any one's going to die it‟s going to be me, and at least
then you can eat me. I do believe I‟m quite tasty, you know.”
You gently wipe her tear away and lift her chin up.
“I shouldn‟t ... I‟m a … But I...”
Lying on the floor staring into each other‟s eyes, you can tell she is in a fight between
her head and her heart. Gently smiling at each other, you both wait for someone to make
the first move. Slowly, your heads move closer together, until you can‟t take it no more.
You quickly move in and meet at the lips, before passion takes over and you roll her on her
back, still keeping the kiss going. Her touch was so soft and warm. Fireworks are going off
inside you. This is everything you ever wanted, and more.
After it has ended, you both fall back.
“I can‟t believe… I just… with you…”

“Is that a bad thing?”
“Oh golly no, when I stormed off it was partly due to nerves, but also I convinced
myself you were just trying to use me, even though all the happy times in the classroom….
and when Celestia send me the letter I thought you had set it up. But I‟ve really liked you
from the first time you walked in but… I never thought you would ever find an old mare
like me attractive…”
“So it wasn‟t for the kids?”
She rolls on top of you again.
“Well… sometimes you have to do take a break and do something for yourself.”

The next morning you wake up next to the still asleep Cheerilee, her cheeks puffing
out harshly every time she took in a breath. You carefully get out of your makeshift floor-
bed, and inspect the weather outside. The snow was much less now, and it was clear, blue
skies for miles on end. You turn away from the window, and head towards the fireplace. It
was only embers now, but with the day light to assist you notice a small bunch of flowers,
neatly tied up in a bundle, lying next to the door. You pick them up and inspect them. There
was a small note in the middle of the bunch.
Ah, here is the Paouse Camo I was looking for.
Please bring them to me as soon as you can, thank you.
Yours truly, Princess Celestia
Ps: I’m truly sorry about the blizzard . I hope it didn’t affect your trip too badly, but I
have a funny feeling that it helped you two out more than you realise. I look forward to
hearing your tales when you get back.

How did the… How did she… Ohhh, dammit she‟s good.
___
On Monday things where slightly unusual, something the children could pick up on.
“So, miss…” Scootaloo asks randomly “What‟s going on between you two then?”
“In what way, Scootaloo?”
“Well you two are acting a bit, different you know.”
“O.M.G.... Are you two, lik e, a couple now” Diamond Tiara bursts out from the
back of the room.
“Arrrrrr that is soooooo cute” says Twist, still looking like she fell off a ladder and
landed in a bucket of paint.
“OH OH! Can I be a bridesmaid?” Apple Bloom shouts out. This causes a mini riot
between the class, all wanting to be part of this non-existent wedding.
“Calm down please children.”
“So how did it happen miss?”
“How on earth do you even…. Alright children let‟s make a deal. You finish your
work and I‟ll tell you the story. Deal?”
Within a split second, everybody's head was down working.
“Wait a minute,” Cheerilee whispers to you. “You never did tell me how you knew
what the Princess‟ bed feels like…”

You‟ve been with Twilight Sparkle for a while now. You‟ve talked, you‟ve laughed,
you‟ve hugged and kissed, you‟ve even spent more than a couple nights in each other‟s
warm embrace. You love her bookish nature and can never say no to her infectious smile.
True, it was a bit rough at the start considering neither of you had any experience
with being in a relationship. She tried to find the information in her books while you just flat
out didn‟t have a clue. This led to very awkward dates that actually followed a
predetermined script that Twilight had taken from one of her romance novels. After a few
attempts, you both just started thinking that it would never work.
“I‟m sorry! I don‟t know what we‟re doing wrong!” she cried when you were at her
house after a failed movie date. “I like you, I really do! It‟s just, these books said if we do
this, then…” You pull her close in an effort to comfort her.
“I‟m sorry…” she whispered. You close your eyes and carefully start rubbing her
back. You could feel her chest push against you with every breath she took. You both sat
there for a while. All of a sudden, you smell something... very pleasing. You could only
describe it like a new book, fresh pages just opened, along with a hint of berries. There was
also something soft you couldn‟t quite place... While you were lost in whatever was
stimulating your senses, you noticed that Twilight‟s breathing had become stronger and
slower.
Slowly, you open your eyes. Somehow without realizing it, you had leaned your
head down began to nuzzle her neck. You began to worry. Did she like this? Was she okay
with it? Before you could fully comprehend what you were doing, you gently planted a kiss

up near the base of her neck. When the fact of what you just did registered, you quickly
looked up at Twilight‟s face.
She wasn‟t looking at you, but instead at a levitating book in front of her while it
flipped through its pages. “What‟s happening?” she‟s mumbling to herself. “What happens
now? What should I do in this?” She tosses the book aside and reads through another. Her
mumbling is interrupted with a gasp as you suddenly leave a trail of kisses going up her neck
to her cheek. Before reaching her lips you look into her eyes. They are still filled with
confusion. You try to lean in closer… but she jumps away and starts wildly flipping through
another pile of books.
You‟re a bit taken back by this. However, you remember that she‟s doing this for
you. She truly wants to make this work. You began to feel your body move again, as if on
its own. Laying down next to Twilight, you take a hoof and carefully start running it
through her mane. You can hear the many books she‟s levitating in front of her start to flip
through their pages faster when you do this. You slowly lean in and kiss her neck again.
And again. This time fully aware of what was going on. You begin to hear the books start
falling and hitting the floor. You kiss all the way up her neck, trailing across her cheek, just
like a moment ago. When the last book falls, you look into her eyes again. You can see tears
welling up in them.
“What do we do?” she whispers faintly.
You shake your head. “I have no idea,” you say while continuing to stroke her
mane.
She looks down and closes her eyes. You worr y that you‟ve said the wrong thing, but
it was the truth. You truly had no idea how you were doing any of this. “Twilight?” you ask
quietly. “Twi-?” you begin to ask again, but are interrupted by her suddenly pushing her softlips against yours.
That kiss was the moment it all truly began. Twilight didn‟t know what came over
her that night. You explain that you had the exact same feeling. Neither of you knew what
it was.

However, Twilight being who she was, decided to try and study this strange
phenomenon. As a peaceful dinner led to gentle nuzzling which grew to deep, passionate
kisses, by the end you were snuggling her with the noise of a quill softly scratching across a
page of a journal. Twilight would record your experiences with each other to research later.
She would still try to find information in other books, but not the same ones she used
when trying to start the relationship. During a trip to another town, she came across a guide
that was filled with all sorts of techniques and knowledge in the way of kissing. After
purchasing and bringing it back to Ponyville, she spent hours reading and comparing it with
the notes she took after your and her more personal moments.
“I have something I‟d like to try,” she said one evening after you brought her home
from a lovely stroll in the forest. This was the first time you saw the book. She walked up to
you while levitating it to the side of her. You couldn‟t see the cover from that angle. She
used her hooves to tilt your head in a specific way. She consulted the book every now and
then. When you tried to look and see what the book said, Twilight would tilt your head
back into place. “Open your mouth slightly, please,” she asked. You did so and after
another moment of adjustment, Twilight let go of your face. Looking at the book one last
time and you making sure to try and stay as still as possible, she looked at you and leaned
in.
Even though you kissed her before, you were blown away by how amazing it felt this
time. Her tongue smoothly glided past your lips and twisted and danced around your
mouth, while she started to wrap a hoof around your neck. Lost in the moment, you feel her
start to push you to the floor. Rolling on top of you, she continues to lustfully push against
your lips. With your head against the floor and Twilight‟s warm body smothering you, there
was no way you‟d escape her.
Just as you felt that you were running out of breath, Twilight pulls away and you
both deeply gasp for air. “What… was… that…?” you ask between breaths. You feel
yourself blushing and can‟t help but have the biggest smile on your face. Brightly blushing
herself, she levitates the book she was reading so you could see the title for the first time.

“Do you think it works?” she asks. You slowly nod your head. Smiling widely, she
lays back down on top of you resting her hooves on your shoulders. She rubs her nose
against your cheek while you close your eyes and raise a hoof to rub her back. When you
begin to stroke up and down her body you begin to hear her open the journal and start
writing. After a while, you hear Twilight say, “I wonder if there are any other books like
this…”
================================
The next day, Twilight‟s question was answered. Although not her first idea, she
found something interesting when visiting the local newsstand. Although she‟d normally
never give gossip magazines a second look, a blurb on the cover advertised “6 Activities for
Happy Couples on Page 24!” She purchased it and brought it right back to her home to
study. Of course when you showed up later, Twilight had wanted to try everything she read.
From the list, you‟d have to say your favorite was snuggling back -to-back with her.
Having your hooves behind you to hold her close and your spine lined up with hers was a
very warm sensation, especially when she would stretch into you. You were amazed that
you could feel her heartbeat in the small of your back as well. Having her soft fur rubbing all
the way down your back made you content with the idea of laying there forever. The faint
noises of the quill writing on the journal pages almost lulled you to sleep.
About a week later she received a book in the mail which she described as a „guide to
pony anatomy.‟ It was a night after one of Pinkie Pie‟s parties. You were both tired, but not
exactly ready to call it a night. She tucked in the sleeping baby dragon, Spike, and you both
went into the other room. When you were both on the couch, she laid on top of you and
brought out the book.
“Do you know what would happen if I were to nuzzle you right here?” she askedwhile giving a gentle tap to a specific location on your side. You shook your head. With a
captivating smile, she slowly leaned her head down and began to gently rub her muzzle
against the spot. With a slight gasp and a twitch, you felt a small shock of pleasure. She only
rubbed for a second longer before stopping and looking up. Her smile widened when she
saw your reaction.
8/2/2019 A Collection of Short Stories (Volume 4)
http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/a-collection-of-short-stories-volume-4 27/106
She leaned down again, but this time she forcefully rubbed the spot with the entire
side of her head. From her forehead to her cheek and then back her muzzle, she focused and
dug into that one place as much as she could. The shock of pleasure had grown into waves
coursing through your body. You back arches and you let out a yelp from the feeling.
She looks up again. “We might have to do something about that…” she whispers as
she climbs up and presses her mouth to yours. She keeps a hoof on the spot and while your
tongues wrap around each other, she guided one of your hooves up to a similar place on her
body. She forces your hoof to rub against her spot while she starts to massage yours. You
both start moaning heavily into each other‟s mouths.
As you begin to slow down and hold each other close, you started to feel something
was missing. With Twilight‟s eyes closed and forelegs wrapped tightly around you, it dawns
on you.
“Hey, Twilight?” you ask. She gives a curious murmur without looking up. You
almost feel bad for what you‟re about to ask. “Aren‟t you going to write this down?”
“Huh…? OH!” she exclaims. Slowly, she lets go and turns around. She levitates the
journal and quill and begins to document what just happened. “Thanks for reminding me,”
she says.
================================
More time passed after that night. She had invited you over later in the day saying
that she had found another book with more things she wanted to test out. You knock on the
door and she calls for you to enter. She‟s in the middle of the room with a book levitating in
front of her. When she sees it‟s you she gets an enticing smile.
Her eyes go back and forth between you and the book. You figure that it‟s the newone that Twilight was talking about. The cover was tightly bound in leather with metal
studs. You gulp nervously.
“So… what‟s this new book you found?” you ask.
She chuckles softly. “A book of spells,” she explains.

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/a-collection-of-short-stories-volume-4 28/106
She motions for you to follow her as she walks through the library, book levitating
beside her. Surprisingly, you found yourself to be a bit afraid of what she was planning this
time. Yes, the experiences you shared, both with and without books, were amazing, but
never before had she wanted to get magic involved. Twilight always handled it beautifully,
but truth be told, the idea of having magic used on you was a bit scary.
You snap out of your thoughts when you realize she had been talking to you. “-so I
thought that Spike would be busy at Rarity‟s for a while. And now that you‟re here, we can
begin.” she says. You were so lost in thought you didn‟t notice that she led you to her
bedroom. She climbed up onto her bed and flipped through the pages of the spell book again
while you stood half in the doorway.
You try to reassure yourself. This was Twilight Sparkle after all. Princess Celestia‟s
best and brightest student. She had perfect control over her magic. Unless you count the
Parasprite incident. Or that time at Applejack‟s during Winter Wrap-Up. Or when-
“Coming?” you hear her ask. Shaking yourself out of your thoughts again, you
proceed to join her on the bed. You breathed slowly trying to calm yourself. There might
have been a few times something she tried didn‟t go quite as planned, but what could go
wrong here?
“Now the book says that this is a rather advanced level spell…”
„It‟ll be fine, it‟ll be fine…‟ you think to yourself.
“But I think you‟ll like it.” She reads through it a final time. Closing the book and
putting it aside, you notice the journal open beside the bed. At the top of the page, you see
the words EXPONENTIAL SUBJECT VARIABLES THROUGH MAGIC. You wonder
what that exactly means. “Lie on your back,” she says. You rollover and rest your head on
the pillow as her horn begins to glow. “Close your eyes…” You do so. The light coming
from her horn intensifies as you begin to see it through your closed eyelids. It grows brighter
and brighter with a hissing sound until it all suddenly fades away.

You wait. Nothing seems to be happening. With your eyes still closed, you feel the
weight from where Twilight was sitting shift until it‟s beside you. Feeling her lay down by
you and put a foreleg across your chest, you open your eyes to see her. She‟s laying there
smiling. You wonder what the spell did. Nothing seems different at all.
You try to turn towards her, but she pushes with her hoof to keep you on your back.
You noticed her eyes are not looking at you anymore, but past you. Feeling another shift in
weight on the bed, you feel something snuggle up against your other side. You turn your
head to see… another Twilight Sparkle?
As you look back and forth between the two, their smiles grow. You hear another
hissing sound quickly come and go from the foot of the bed. Looking down, you see a third
Twilight Sparkle with the same alluring smile crawling up the bed. All the fears you‟ve ever
had about magic are pushed aside as she lays top of you while the other two press against
you from both sides.
The sensation of being snuggled by the three soft bodies of Twilight Sparkle is
incredible. You close your eyes again feeling your body tense up in the middle of such
treatment. As much time as you‟ve spent with her, you were not expecting this at all.
“Nervous?” the one to your right asks. You slowly nod your head.
The one to your left slides up and uses her hoof to press your head against her chest.
“Me, too…” she whispers. You can hear her heart beating incredibly fast.
“But tonight should be…” The one on top of you begins while moving down.
“…Very informative…” she says as she begins to nuzzle your own chest. You open your
eyes as you start to feel your body relax.
The right Twilight puts her hooves on your shoulders. As you look over, she leans inand puts her lips to yours. You close your eyes again while her tongue licks your closed
mouth, begging for entry. At the same time, the top Twilight starts to rub her hoof up and
down your side. Your small gasp resulting from this is all the opportunity the right Twilight
needs to move in and fill your mouth with her sweet taste. You both moan into each other‟s
mouths as you feel a hoof begin to focus around a certain spot.

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/a-collection-of-short-stories-volume-4 30/106
Another hoof on your chin takes you away from the kiss and lifts your head towards
the left Twilight‟s own lips. As your tongues begin dancing and twisting between mouths,
the one you were taken from begins to lick your cheek.
Your body doesn‟t just feel relaxed; it feels as though it were melting between the
three warm beauties against you. You move both your hooves, one up to the cheek of the
Twilight you were exchanging breath with and the other to rub the back of the one beside
you. Lost in pure pleasure you think, „If there was ever a moment in the universe that had to
last forever, by Celestia, please let it be this one.‟
After a little bit of heaven, you notice that everything is becoming a bit more…
intense. The one you„re kissing is now using her hooves to hold the back of your head as she
pushes her lips harder, her tongue becoming more forceful. The one on top is rubbing your
side more vigorously while she rubs the side of her face hard against your chest. The one to
your side, who‟s licking began light with the tip of her tongue, is now pressing her entire
tongue roughly into your cheek, her panting breath hot and heavy. All of them are holding
you as tightly as they possibly can.
One rub too hard in your side causes you to break the kiss and exclaim in pain. The
three Twilight Sparkles stop and look at you. You see the expression had changed on all of
them. In place of the sweet, inviting smiles was now a shared look of very hungry and
desperate desire…
You didn‟t know what to think at the moment. On one hoof, you are with not one,
but three of the book-loving, purple unicorn. On the other, they were getting to a point of
discomfort and the looks on their faces say that they may only get rougher. “Could you…”
you begin saying, panting lightly. “Be a bit… more gentle…?”
Their faces soften. You can see that they didn‟t realize what they were doing. Theyall give you a slight nod and lean back into you to continue. The three‟s embrace begins
softly as it had been. The one on top now meets your lips with hers while the one to your
right nuzzles your cheek. The left Twilight is now the one rubbing a hoof against your side,
and you close your eyes while returning to being lost in the bliss of the moment. Using her
free hoof, the one on your left takes one of your hooves and makes you stroke up and down
8/2/2019 A Collection of Short Stories (Volume 4)
http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/a-collection-of-short-stories-volume-4 31/106
the side of her, too. The one to your right takes your other hoof and presses it to her cheek
while she continues to nuzzle you.
The left one is started to rub harder and making you rub her more rigorously as well.
She still seems to be trying to be careful. However, the one to your right has begun
squeezing your hoof just a little too tightly. Before you need to say anything, the one on top
of you pulls away from your mouth to take your hoof from her. She puts it to the back of
her neck and you start running it through her mane while she resumes the kiss.
You begin to feel the hot and heavy panting again, this time from the one on your
right. You expect her to suddenly start being more forceful, but you‟re surprised when you
actually feel her pull away. You open your eyes to look and see her looking at the hoof the
top Twilight had taken from her. She reaches over and takes it back, this time using both her
hooves to hold on to it, afraid she‟ll lose it again.
The one top of you breaks the kiss again when the hoof was taken. She looks to the
one using your other hoof to rub her side and reaches for it. Taking it from her, she uses it to
make you rub her neck up to her cheek. You notice the stroking at your side has stopped.
Before she can lean back in to rejoin your lips, you feel yourself shifted towards the
left Twilight as she steals the kiss. She puts a foreleg across your chest and pulls you in
closely as if trying to keep you all for herself.
You lips are separated as the top Twilight tries to push you and the one to your left
away from each other. The left one wraps one of her hind legs around yours while wrapping
her hooves around your shoulders again to hold on as tight as she can. “Twili-!” is all you
can manage to get out before the top one forcefully shoves her mouth to yours.
The left Twilight begins pulling you. You can see desperation in her eyes. She wants
you. She alone wants you. While she‟s pulling, she starts taking you from the one to your
right who wraps her hooves across your chest. She pulls against the left Twilight, and the
strain makes you try to yell for them to stop. Unfortunately, your protests are being muffled
by the one on top of you who now has both hooves to the back of your head and is pushing
as hard as she can against into your mouth.

You shake your head back and forth trying to break the kiss. As soon as your mouth
feels fresh air, you exclaim, “STOP!” The pulling ceases. When their grips on you loosen,
you force yourself up into a sitting position. Gasping for air, you look straight down to
avoid their gazes. “I‟m sorry…” you say, not looking up.
From where you‟re looking, all you see is a bright flash around you as weight seems
to be lifted off the bed. A single hoof comes down to rest on your shoulder.
“I‟m sorry,” you hear. “I… I don‟t know what came over me…”
Slowly, you look up and see that all of the desire and passion in her eyes had turned
into concern. Her face is flushed red and what used to be a smile was now a small worried
frown. You hold her hoof in yours as you lay back down. She lies besides you and gently
snuggles up while laying her head on your chest. You hear her give a long sigh.
“I guess if I make more of me, we‟ll have to make sure there‟s enough of you…” she
says. Both of your eyes light up. You slowly look at each other with the same feeling of
epiphany…
================================
“I'm home!” called out the baby dragon. He carried a bag through the library where
you pretend to be trying to find a book in a pile where Twilight is hiding and frantically
trying to f ix her hair. “Sweetie Belle tried to help Rarity out with a dress,” Spike said,
grumbling. “Fabric and thread was all over the place. When we got it cleaned up, Rarity
said she wanted to finish the dress alone.”
He walked into the kitchen and opened the refrigerator. “I also picked up some
things from the store you asked for!” he yelled out over his shoulder while putting items
from the bag on the shelves. He closed the door and looked over. “Oh, I didn't know youguys followed me,” he said when he saw you and Twilight at the table, trying to straighten
the tablecloth. You were both facing away from him to hide the blush on your faces.

He walked over to the closet to put away the cloth shopping bag. When he opened
the door, you took the bag and gave it to Twilight who was laying on top of you to put
away. “Thanks!” Spike said as he closed the door. A second passed, then Spike quickly
looked back at the closet door. Before he could open it again, he heard a noise upstairs.
“Did that come from the bedroom?” he asked himself. He hurried up the stairs and
opened the door. From there, he only saw Twilight on the bed with her head against the
pillow. You were hiding under the covers with your hooves around her and head against her
chest. “Uh… Twilight, are you-” Spike began, but was interrupted when she started making
loud fake snoring noises. He just slowly closed the bedroom door.
When he closed the door he heard another sound above Twilight‟s „snoring.‟ “Why
is there water running?” he asked as he went towards the bathroom. Sure enough, when he
opened the door, he saw the whole room was steamed up.
“H-Hello?”
“Twilight?”
“Spike? What are you doing home so early?”
“I told you a minute ago. Why does it sound like you‟re on the floor?” Spike asked.
You quickly get up off of her so she can stand up.
“I just dropped the, uh, shampoo” she said. “Now, as you can see, I„m in the
shower, so-”
“What‟s going on, Twilight? I saw you in the library, the kitchen, the closet, the
bedroom-” Spike paused for a moment. “Is that guy in there with you, too?” You feel your
heart skip a beat.
“No! No, no, don‟t be silly, Spike,” she said. “He‟s just waiting downstairs.” You
begin to see her horn dimly glow.

As soon Spike turns to check downstairs a bright flash comes from behind the
curtain. “What was that?” Spike asked whipping his head around oblivious to the other four
bright flashes occurring around the home.
“What was what?” asked Twilight. From downstairs, you hear the water turn off.
“There was a… a big light!” you hear Spike shout at the top of the stairs. You open a
book to a random page and pretend to read to hide your beet red face. You feel warm
tingles down your spine as five recollections of certain events fill your mind.
“Spike are you seeing things?” Twilight asks while you hear Spike runs down the
stairs. Over the top of the book you see him check the kitchen and the closet before running
back up to the bedroom.
“I… I guess I am,” Spike said. “I think I‟ll just… lay down for a moment.” The
bedroom door opens and closes. Twilight comes down the stairs a moment later, her hair
still wet and face red with blush.
“That was close,” you say. She nods in agreement.
She walks past you and towards the front door, levitating the journal behind her.
“Come on. I don‟t want Spike to interrupt us again,” she says.
You can‟t help but smile at this. “You know any places out there we can be alone?”
you ask. She looks at you with a smirk.
“A few.”

You wake up this morning just like you do every morning. Quickly getting ready,
you race down to your workplace. Before long, you arrive at the house of Derpy Hooves, or,
as it‟s often called, the post office. Looking up, you suddenly realize the sky is dark.
Frustrated, you know that, once again, you‟ve shown up way too early. She isn‟t awake yet.
Hell, the sun isn‟t awake yet. Not knowing what else to do, you start pacing around a
nearby tree.
After what seems like an eternity, you see the gray pegasus open her door, slightly
derping her eyes as she sleepily stretches. She invites you inside to get your things and start
working. You excitedly rush through the house to the backyard- this is what you‟ve been
waiting for. You step into the basket of a large hot air balloon, already filled with boxes of
varying sizes. This is your daily routine, but you still haven‟t gotten used to it.
When you came to Ponyville, you befriended Derpy and helped her with her
deliveries however you could. Whether it was actually delivering mail on hoof, or simply
licking stamps all day, she was your only friend, so you would do anything to lighten her
load a bit. Plus, if it wasn‟t for Derpy, you would have never found your current job.
You now spend your days delivering large packages that Derpy herself can‟t
handle, in a large hot air balloon. There was something about the thrill of being out in the
open air, touching the sky, being free, that always got you excited. You were born an earth
pony, but you‟ve always dreamed of flying. Lifting into the air in the balloon was the closest
you could get to your dreams.

So there you are, slowly lifting into the air in your balloon. Flashing a friendly wave
to Derpy, you get shivers as the ground inches away from you. The rising feeling in your
stomach is simply invigorating. You must have had this feeling hundreds of times before.
Though it was always exciting, something about today was different. You were going to try
a whole new kind of delivery.
You begin to fly your balloon high up into the sky. Though you aren‟t moving
particularly fast, the tranquility of the sky engulfs you, the sun cascading down onto your
face. You let out a deep sigh. This- up here- is your true home.
Before long, you‟re higher than you‟ve ever been before, pulling up to a large cloud.
Setting down the balloon on the cloud, you timidly step out onto the fluffy mass below you.
You‟d been given special shoes to allow you to step on the clouds- and it was
certainly.....different. You‟re nervous, but being on the cloud has a strange calming effect
that you can‟t quite put your finger on. After a few minutes of marveling at this new
sensation, you remember that you have a job to do. Reaching into the basket of the balloon,
you pull out a large package with your front hooves. You lift the heavy package up, and
slowly begin inching toward the large cloud house ahead. After a few steps, your hind legs
begin to buckle. You plop down the package onto the cloud- it was just too heavy to carry
that way. You could just leave it right there- but something tells you that you‟d regret that. You may never have the chance to spend time on a cloud again.
Determined, you decide to just push the package to the door with your head. To
your surprise, this is extremely easy. The cloud seems to be almost frictionless. You quickly
reach the front door. You attempt to knock on the door, but, along with everything else, it is
made of a cloud, so your knocking is almost silent. Despite your confusion, you can faintly
hear someone walking up to the door.
When the door swings open, you‟re paralyzed. You didn‟t know a mare lived
here! Normally, this wouldn‟t be a problem, but there was something different this time. It‟s
not the fact that she‟s attractive- though she is attractive. There‟s just something….
enthralling..... about her. Her eyes, deep pools of amethyst, seem to call to you. Her colorful
mane contrasting against the plain white cloud only makes her more alluring. Staring

aimlessly, you suddenly notice her mouth moving. Was she talking?! You suddenly snap
back to your senses, shaking your head a little while collecting yourself.
“Umm...can I help you?” she said. Her voice cracked slightly as she spoke, but the
distinctiveness of her tone instantly became an object of your obsession.
“Oh, uh, yeah, I have a...package for you?” you say, stuttering. This shouldn‟t have
been a question, but the astonishing mare causes your anxiety to show in your speech.
Suddenly, you see her eyes light up.
“Ohmygosh! I‟ve been waiting for this like, forever! Thankyou thankyou thankyou!”
You can‟t help but smile along with her. Her happiness seems to radiate
throughout your entire body, as you start to feel butterflies.
“Oh, huh, it‟s no problem, ma‟am. Just, uh, doin‟ my job! Could you sign this?”
As she quickly signs your paper, holding a pen in her teeth, you realize how
ridiculous your attempt at being cool was. You didn‟t even need her signature, but
something tells you that you won‟t be forgetting about this mare anytime soon. Handing
you back your paper, you see her lift the package and carry it inside with ease. You‟re a bit
embarrassed with this, hoping she didn‟t see you struggling with it earlier. Stepping back
into your balloon, you look down at her signature.
Slowly beginning to lower the balloon, you read the signature to yourself, letting it
resonate in your mind. Looking up into the sky, you repeat her name once more, out loud.
“Rainbow Dash”
You feel a smile creep across your face. You‟ll meet her again. You just know it.
* * *
After finishing work, you finally arrive home, just after dusk. Lying in your bed,
you think back on the day‟s events, with the signed piece of paper in hoof. She hasn‟t said
more than a sentence to you, but you just can‟t get her out of your head. You can‟t help but
8/2/2019 A Collection of Short Stories (Volume 4)

daydream about seeing her again. Snapping back to reality, you realize that you‟ve been
doodling small hearts on the piece of paper this whole time. Your face suddenly turns a
deep red, embarrassed at yourself. You quickly shove the paper into your saddlebag next to
the bed. As butterflies surround your weary mind, you drift off to sleep.
The next day seems to merge into a single, ambiguous blur. You go about your
daily deliveries, never ceasing to admire your special paper. You begin to associate Rainbow
Dash with the sky you love so dearly, daydreaming as you admire the cool embrace of the
afternoon breeze. You‟ve already faced the fact that you‟ve essentially gone crazy. You
don‟t care. Thoughts of the stunning mare continuously echo in your mind as your
infatuation grows.
You return home just like any other day, eager to get some rest. Just before you do
so, you realize that something is amiss.....YOUR PAPER! Noticing the absence of your
keepsake, you feverishly search your saddlebags and belongings to no avail. After a few
minutes, your fatigue begins to get the better of you. You sullenly drift off to sleep,
heartbroken at the loss of your revered memento.
The next morning, you wake up much later than usual. You force yourself out of
bed and solemnly walk to Derpy‟s home. With your ears tucked down to the sides of your
head, you walk into your balloon. Things just don‟t seem the same. The excitement just
seems to have....disappeared. As your head points to the ground in sorrow, you see
something. Doing a double-take, you quickly snatch up your paper and tuck it away, hoping
Derpy didn‟t see. Though you‟re joyful to have gotten your paper back, finding it makes you
take a look back at your own feelings. You weren‟t some little colt. You were obsessed over
nothing. It was just a waste of your time. With these thoughts, you crumple up the paper
and toss it to the floor of the balloon. With a newfound strength, you start your deliveries.
Rising into the air, you take a look at the first package. It was large, but extremely
light. You happily look around for the next package. After circling a few times, you find
something strange.
“Only one package? Well that‟s....weird....” you think to yourself.

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/a-collection-of-short-stories-volume-4 39/106
Shrugging off the odd situation and looking forward to a short workday, you look
at the address on the first package. As you read it, you feel a lump forming in your throat.
You instantly recognize the address. You blink multiple times as you follow a maze of
conflicting emotions in your mind. You‟d spent the last two days obsessing over the mare,
but, you also JUST NOW convinced yourself to get over her! You had no idea how or what
to feel.
In the time you spend contemplating your feelings, you reach her cloud. You
suddenly find yourself practically shivering in anxiety as you walk up and knock on the
door. Your face turns flush red as the door opens; you try to avoid eye contact.
“Got a package for ya, ma‟am!” you say, attempting to muster your most confident
voice.
“Hmm. Strange. I‟m not really expecting anything....”
She looks confused as she studies the address on the top of the box.
“Sorry, but.....this isn‟t my address...” she says, pushing the package slightly back
toward you.
You look down at the address as well and instantly notice your mistake.
“Oh, um-....”
You stop, noticing something strange about the address. You‟ve been doing this
job for quite a long time, and you know your way around. The address on the package was
fake. However, you don‟t mention a thing. You just sit there with an awkward smile,
blushing feverishly, stumbling over your words. Before you can do anything else, she cuts
you off.
“Wait a second....weren‟t you just here a few days ago?”
You stand there motionless and blush even harder as she starts to smile.
“You know......if you wanted to hang out with me, you could‟ve just asked.”
8/2/2019 A Collection of Short Stories (Volume 4)
http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/a-collection-of-short-stories-volume-4 40/106
“Meet me in the park later, so we can talk, alright?” she adds, as you stand there
shocked beyond belief.
She smiles at you warmly and closes the door. The address mix up was an honest
mistake- it wasn‟t a plot to hang out with her, as she thought, but, hey, you definitely
weren‟t complaining. Still a bit shocked, you walk back to your balloon and decide to open
the package. Inside, you find a little note.
Hey there-
Found your paper....Rainbow Dash, huh? Have Fun. Thank me later. :)
-Derpy
You can‟t hold back a smile as you read. Perhaps the gray pegasus was smarter
than you thought.
* * *
It was a beautiful afternoon. Probably the most beautiful afternoon this year, you
think to yourself. With a little smile, you neatly tuck away a slightly wrinkled piece of paper
covered in tiny hearts as you head for the park.
Once you arrive, you sit beneath a large tree and wait patiently. After only a
moment, you feel something fly past your face, followed by a gust of wind. Looking around,
you see a bright streak of rainbow shooting around a curve, coming straight for you. Doing
a double front-flip and sticking the landing, a stunning light blue pegasus lands in front of
you.
“Hey there! I don‟t think I‟ve properly introduced myself. I, am Rainbow Dash- the
greatest, coolest, fastest flier in all of Equestria!” she exclaims, lifting a front hoof and
spreading her wings out wide.
8/2/2019 A Collection of Short Stories (Volume 4)
http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/a-collection-of-short-stories-volume-4 41/106
You‟d met a few other mares in Ponyville, but none of their introductions were
quite this......awesome. You tell her your name and she walks up to you, smiling
confidently.
“Well then, it‟s nice to meet ya! Hey, do you wanna go for a walk?”
You smile and nod. With that, you were off. You two walk for hours. It started off
with just small talk- she could tell you were shy. But, over time, you opened up, and so did
she. You even told her about your dreams of flying- why you loved your job so much. She
told you about her troubling youth, her sonic rainbooms, and of course, her dreams of
becoming a member of the famed Wonderbolts. You didn‟t really have as exciting a history
as hers, but you just adored listening to her stories.
Before you knew it, the sky was completely dark.
“Hey, um, do you wanna do this again sometime? I had a lot of fun...” you ask,
suddenly blushing and becoming timid all over again.
“Of course!” she says, wrapping her front hooves around you. You instantly smile
and melt into her embrace.
“How about, uh, tomorrow? Same time?” you ask, barely able to speak over your
now severe blushing.
“It‟s a date!” she exclaims, before flashing you a smile and speeding off into the night
sky.
This became a normal thing for you two. Every day, after work, you would go on
long walks in the park. You were always there for her, and she was always there to support
you too. As you grew closer to one another, sharing problems and increasingly deeper
secrets, you gradually became the best of friends. Every day became the perfect day, and
nothing else mattered. However, today was different. Maybe it was the beauty of the warm
spring day. Maybe it was the excitement of another evening at the park. Whatever it was, in
your moment of distraction, you got lost while making your deliveries. It‟s not easy to get
lost in the sky, but once you do, you can find yourself dozens of miles away from where you

started. You were trained for things like this, so you eventually found your way back to
town. By the time you got back, however, the sun was well into setting. You grit your teeth,
wishing with all of your heart for the balloon to move faster. Neither you nor Rainbow
Dash had ever missed a day at the park. You knew it was too late to try and make it to the
park- you were headed straight for her cloud.
Landing on the cloud, you quickly run up and knock on the door. There‟s no
answer. At first you think that she‟s not home, but then you hear something: running water.
She‟s in the shower. You decide to wait outside until she‟s finished.
After about 15 minutes, you hear the water stop and knock on the door once
again. She soon opens the door, still dripping wet from the shower. It takes a few seconds to
focus on her speech- it‟s near impossible to ignore her soaking wet body. Quickly shutting
your dropped jaw, you snap back to reality.
“Oh my god! What are you doing here?” she says with a gasp.
“Well, I sort of got lost.....I felt so bad about not making it to the park....and....I
really wanted to...see you....” you say, blushing slightly.
“Oh my god....” she responds, shaking her head. “There‟s a big storm scheduled for
tonight!”
“Oh....well I guess I better go...” you say solemnly, walking back to your balloon in
defeat.
“Damn it....It‟s too late!!!”
Looking down, you see the last of the huge, dark clouds moved into place.
“You‟re gonna have to stay here for the night....”
“But...I couldn‟t! ....I wouldn‟t want to-“
“You‟re gonna have to. It‟s too dangerous to fly in this weather...” she says, sighing.
Flattening your ears to your head, you walk and sit on the edge of the cloud.
8/2/2019 A Collection of Short Stories (Volume 4)
http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/a-collection-of-short-stories-volume-4 43/106
“I‟m really sorry for all this...” you say quietly, your guilt showing in your voice.
She sighs and sits down next to you.
“It‟s alright. I don‟t mind spending time with my best friend! Besides, do you know
how impossible it is to be mad at you?” she says, smiling, leaning against you.
You smile and blush again as she rests her weight on you. You then take notice of
how beautiful the huge storm is from the outside. The rolling black clouds are about twenty
feet below the cloud you‟re on, surging brightly every few seconds. You should be afraid,
but, for some reason, you‟re the most relaxed that you‟ve ever been.
* * *
After about an hour, the sky is completely dark, and you two head inside. As you
both sit on the couch, you thank her for everything and start to apologize for being late.
“I‟m so sorry for not making it to the park today....You know I wouldn‟t miss it for
the world if I had a choice! .....hanging out with you is the highlight of my day.....” you say,
your voice getting quieter as you speak.
“You‟re my reason for getting up every morning....and I just wouldn‟t be able to live
if you were-“
Suddenly, Rainbow Dash kisses you, then instantly pulls away, blushing
incessantly. You‟ve never seen her blush before, and the innocence on her face is adding to
her radiance in each second that passes.
“Um....I‟m s- sorry about th-“
Throwing caution to the wind, you suddenly press your lips against hers, with all
the passion you‟ve had building up inside you. She gives a little gasp as her eyes go wide,
but before long, she‟s pressing back with the same intensity. As time passes, she presses
harder and harder against you, her breathing getting heavier. Before you know it, she pushes
you down all the way, lying down on top of you.
8/2/2019 A Collection of Short Stories (Volume 4)
http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/a-collection-of-short-stories-volume-4 44/106
You run your hooves down her entire body, beginning to kiss lightly down her jaw
line. With this, she wraps one hoof around you and places the other on the back of your
head, pushing you down onto her neck. You feel her deep and heavy breaths against the
back of your neck as you kiss and nip at her neck and upper chest. You then slowly lick all
the way from her chest up to her ear, gripping her body tightly. You feel her shiver as you
do so, her wings suddenly at their full span.
Reconnecting your lips to hers, you begin to massage the underside of her wings
with your hooves. Her tongue suddenly slides between your lips, as you begin to explore her
mouth as well. She softly moans into your mouth as you move your hooves closer to the
base of her wings, rubbing harder as you go. She breaks the kiss and gasps in ecstasy as you
press at the base of her wings. You take this opportunity to work on the other side of her
neck. Kissing and licking tenderly, you press again on the same spot, eliciting a loud moan
from her. You can tell she can‟t take much more, her eyes clenched tightly shut. As you
begin to lick just below her ear, you press as hard as you can at the base of her wings. She
suddenly screams out in intense pleasure at your actions and collapses on top of you,
breathing heavily.
Neither one of you says a word. She simply rests on top of you, with your hooves
wrapped around her. After about a half an hour, you realize that she‟s fallen asleep.Admiring how beautiful she is asleep, you whisper into her ear, careful to not wake her.
“I love you, Rainbow Dash....”
As gingerly as you can, you lift her onto your back, lightly walking around her
home. After a quick search, you find her bedroom. You begin to lightly rest her on her bed
so that you can go sleep on the couch. Just as you‟re about to let go of her, she grabs onto
you, pulling you onto the bed with her. You gasp slightly in surprise as she does this, but
instantly melt as she snuggles up against you, her eyes never opening in the process. While
your eyes lull to a close, you feel breath against your ear.
“...I love you too....”

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/a-collection-of-short-stories-volume-4 45/106
Only a few seconds later, you drift off into the deepest sleep of your life, lost in the
ecstasy of the sound of those words.
* * *
Slowly waking up, you smile at the sight of two big beautiful eyes staring back at
you.
“Good morning....” you hear her whisper, lightly kissing your lips.
As much as you wish that you could stay right there with her forever, you explain
to her that you have work to do. You had missed the majority of your deliveries yesterday,
and you just can‟t miss another day of work. Hugging her tightly and giving her a long,
passionate kiss, you tell her that you‟ll see her back at the park tonight.
Walking out to your balloon, you hear something behind you.
“Hey!...” Rainbow Dash calls out to you.
“What is it?” You answer sweetly.
“Do you think I could....um....go with you?”
You suddenly see her start to blush again. The sight of her red cheeks against her
bright blue face is beyond gorgeous. With a smile, you beckon her over. She quickly runs
over and hugs you tightly, bearing a wide smile the whole time. Stepping into the balloon,
you start to lift off of the cloud.
As you head off to your first delivery, she notices you staring out into the open
sky, admiring every inch of it, as a light breeze blows against your face.
“You really do love the sky, don‟t you?”
“Yeah....I just feel so at home up here...and now, whenever I look out at the sky, all
I think of is you...”
8/2/2019 A Collection of Short Stories (Volume 4)
http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/a-collection-of-short-stories-volume-4 46/106
She suddenly wraps her hooves around you from behind, holding onto you tightly.
You smile again, enjoying her warmth against you. If only you had seen the devious grin on
her face....
Without warning, she pulls you out of the balloon, sending you two plummeting
toward the ground at an alarming speed. Just as you‟re about to yell out in fear, she kisses
you passionately and holds you tight. You lose yourself in the sensation of falling so rapidly
mixed with the butterflies constantly multiplying in your stomach from the kiss.
Spinning head first down to earth with your lover, everything suddenly seems to
stand still. The rate that your heart is raising into orbit seems to match the speed that you‟re
falling. At this point, work is the last thing on your mind.
Suddenly, you feel Rainbow Dash begin to flap her wings furiously, diminishing
what would have been a fatal fall. You crash to the ground, sliding along the grass. Your
eyes are still closed. Surprisingly, you‟re not hurt, aside from a scratch or two. Opening your
eyes, you see your beloved mare standing over you. She‟s just as breathtakingly beautiful as
the first time you saw her, so long ago.
“How‟s that for flying?” she says, breathing heavily.
“Oh, that was nothing.” you say with a loving smile.
Wrapping her hooves around you, she leans down and kisses you with everything
she‟s got. As your heart begins to beat at supersonic speeds, and the butterflies return, you
get that rising feeling in your stomach once again.
You were finally flying.

'The sky is the limit', you've been told.
You've never believed that statement; you know ponies who have far surpassed it,
and they would soon prove it like they had done so many times in the past. For them, there
are no limits.
It was difficult to say whether or not you could actually have the honour of calling
yourself their 'biggest fan.' Ponies all around you were screaming for them to show
themselves, clearing the skies in a rush, probably breaking the sound barrier while at it.
In your eyes, nopony could ever be like these. You had always been at their shows,no matter the expense. Your biggest dream was to join them, although you already knew
chances were slim, if even existent. After all, they were the most talented in all of Equestria.
Today was just like the others; your eyes were fixed on the bright skies as the crowd
kept cheering for them to show their faces, as well as the rest of themselves.
You can't help but grin widely as they crowd gets louder, eventually joining the
cheering yourself.
After a few more minutes of waiting, the announcer finally speaks up, bringing out
the words that everypony had been eagerly awaiting for what seemed like an eternity:
“Fillies, and gentlecolts alike; let‟s hear it for The Wonderbolts!”
Fire in the Evening Sky

As if the crowd wasn't crazy enough already, everything suddenly seemed to get even
more out of control. Good to know you're not alone about that.
You watch as six shapes, all dressed in shining blue, rip through the skies at an
alarming speed, leaving you in complete awe. The Wonderbolts always seemed to leave that
impact on you, no matter how many times you saw them perform. You would be surprised
if anypony didn't get the same feeling.
You keep smiling, following the blue shapes with your eyes as they performed their
astounding moves, keeping everyone entertained as they soared through the wild blue
yonder. They 'conquered the sky', as a friend of yours had told you at your very first show.
He wasn't lying.
The two leads were easy to recognize; Spitfire and Soarin', flying side by side with
the others following right behind. Their graceful movement was breathtaking as always, and
you are almost knocked over by a rather eye-catching mare with a rainbow-coloured mane.
You're just glad she's having a good time, and you keep on watching as your heroes glide
through the clouds, taking in the sounds of stomping hooves and several gasps and screams
from the crowd.
The show went on for a long time, but the pure energy of the place never died down.
As the Wonderbolts made their last big maneuver, one which you didn't recognize, the
crowd gave off their last big shouts to their beloved heroes of the sky. Several small
fireworks were sent off, lighting up the entire arena in every imaginable colour. Several
ponies were left wide-eyed and speechless at the jaw-dropping sight before them. You just
keep on smiling, letting the image fill your mind as a wonderful memory. You know you
won't be forgetting it.
It was the end show now, but you still feel like it ended way too soon. While someremained after the stars had left, most ponies were now heading back outside.
You trot away from the arena in which you had been seated (well, you had
technically been standing), hoping to catch another glimpse of the stars themselves before
you left.

They always seemed to leave before you could manage to get close. Perhaps they
were a bit shy with the media, or just didn't crave attention. But for all you knew, this could
be your lucky day.
They were all busy signing autographs, completely surrounded by fans from all of
Equestria. Getting a better look at them, you recognize two of the main stars; The first was
Soarin', the blue-maned stallion with a rather goofy smile on his face. He seemed like a
funny fellow, as he was now getting his picture taken with an overly excited young filly.
You can't help but laugh as she jumps up and down next to him, her eyes beaming with joy.
The second pegasus was Spitfire; the cute mare with a wild, orange mane. She
seemed a lot more calm and direct than Soarin', but no less friendly and engaging.
'Man, is she cool...‟ you think to yourself.
She appeared to be answering questions from the girl with the rainbow mane, the
one who had almost knocked you over. You can't make out what they're saying, but it
doesn't really matter right now:
You decide to take your chances on at least getting an autograph.
You carefully approach the Wonderbolts, getting a bit nervous as you get closer...
No, you can't let that get the better of you. You've been a fan of theirs for years now, and
you can't let your confidence fail you. You straighten yourself up, your eyes still fixed on the
pegasi before you. Not much further now...
Then suddenly, you're startled by somepony yelling at you, seemingly not happy.
“Hey, buddy! Ever heard of a line?!”
That's when you notice the line that had been gathering up across the floor. A very, very long line...
Perhaps you had been a bit too distracted by the thought of meeting them to notice.
8/2/2019 A Collection of Short Stories (Volume 4)
http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/a-collection-of-short-stories-volume-4 50/106
You apologize to the yelling pony and let out a deep sigh as you start trotting
towards the start of the line. Just looking at it was making you lose your hopes, but there
wasn't really much else to do right now. Who knew? If you were lucky, you might just get
your chance before they left.
You and luck weren't on speaking terms that evening.
After an hour or so, you can't do anything but walk away from the arena with a
disappointed look on your face. Not that you hadn't been disappointed before, but you had
been going with that strange feeling all day; the feeling that today was your lucky day. Then
again, everypony is wrong from time to time.
But hey, things could be worse. It had been an amazing show, and you were certain
another chance to meet them would show up in the future. You raise your head again,
feeling something like optimism as you shrug off the disappointment from before.
It was getting late, but you don't really feel like going home just yet. Not that you
would mind getting some sleep, but you figured it could wait. Instead, you decide to take a
trip to the bar downtown. Some of your friends tended to hang out there in the evening, and
if not, maybe you'd end up striking a conversation with some old storytelling drunkard?
It doesn't take long before you reach the bar. There aren't a whole lot of ponies in
there, maybe four or five. It's a rather small and comfy place, perfect for quiet conversations.
Being a regular visitor here, you just sit down and ask the bartender for the usual; a
small glass of tomato juice. A colt sitting next to you raises an eyebrow at this, to which
your only response is that you've had a pretty rough day.
As you take a sip from your glass, your eyes wander off to look at the surroundings:
The place is decorated with several old items; instruments, a gumball machine, recordplayers and a huge poster advertising for a special brand of alcohol. It was quite an
interesting place, and it was a shame there were so few visitors. Maybe most ponies prefer
hayshakes...
8/2/2019 A Collection of Short Stories (Volume 4)
http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/a-collection-of-short-stories-volume-4 51/106
The current ones are just your everyday ponies; an older stallion with a bottle of
vodka, a young couple sharing a romantic moment, and a red-maned mare in a rather
skimpy outfit. She gives you a quick smile and looks away, her attention now on a small
glass on the table.
As you're about to take another sip, you hear a small creaking noise as somepony
opens the door and walks in. You don't look up, as you know certain ponies don't like being
gawked at. Not that it was necessary, as the visitor soon sits down next to you and,
surprisingly enough asks for what you are having.
“Good choice, kid”, the visitor says. It was a mare, with a very polite and friendly
tone in her voice. It was somewhat familiar. Probably just your imagination.
“Always gets you going again after a long flight.”
“Yeah, I guess”, you reply, looking up at the mare. That was when the real surprise
kicked in.
Now that you saw her, your entire body seemed to freeze in place. Right next to you
was a quite familiar-looking mare with deep, sienna coloured eyes and a spiky, bright-
orange mane. It probably wouldn't have mattered what she looked like otherwise, since her
light blue uniform told you everything you needed to know.
“Spitfire”, she said, offering her hoof for you to shake. You don't respond at once, as
you feel an incredible tingling of excitement in your entire body.
“Y-y-you're...!”, you stutter as you try to gather enough courage to at least lift your
own hoof. After all, it wasn't every day you met one of your lifelong heroes face to face.
“... the leader of the Wonderbolts?”, she finished. She spoke in a slightly lower voice
this time, even though it didn't seem like any of the other customers had taken much notice
of her even when she was dressed the way she was. Perhaps they weren't fans? In that case,
they didn't know what they were missing out on.

You eventually manage to shake her hoof, very gently though, as you were still
incredibly nervous and excited over sitting right next to Spitfire. You go as far as to tell her
your name, your voice still a bit shaky.
“I, um... I'm a big fan...” you say, lowering your head a bit. You just prayed that you
wouldn't start sweating or start rambling on about how much you loved them.
“Really? That's great to hear!” Spitfire replied, giving you a warm smile as she took a
quick sip of her drink. “Always nice meeting fans around town.”
You smile back at her, blushing a little at the positive response.
“I saw you at the show today... You guys were amazing”, you say, gaining a little
more confidence as you slowly managed to start a semi-conversation.
Spitfire gave off a gentle laugh at your comment, as well as a polite 'thank you.'
Not having taken much time to think, it was just now that you realised this was your
big chance! Maybe your luck could turn around if you kept cool?
Although overly enthralled by the mare in front of you, you knew well that you had
to remain calm.
You weren't going to risk spoiling this opportunity.
Taking all the courage you had, you straighten up a bit and ask her what you really
want.
“Do you think... I could have your autograph...?”
Spitfire seemed to lighten up even more at your question; she was well-known for
loving the fans, giving them just as much attention as any media.
“Sure thing, kid!”, she said and got off her chair. “Why don't you come over to my
place, and I'll fix you a photo too?”
Your face lightens up just like hers when you hear this, and you give her a quick nod
as you pay for your drink and start following her.
8/2/2019 A Collection of Short Stories (Volume 4)
http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/a-collection-of-short-stories-volume-4 53/106
Perhaps she didn't notice it, but you also paid for hers.
It was getting dark as the two of you casually trotted along the way back to Spitfire's
place. It probably wouldn't be long till the moon showed its bright surface in the skies.
Spitfire managed to make a little small-talk with you as you walked alongside her.
She asked what you thought of their new moves, if you had a good time at the show and so
on.
You answer all her questions with great enthusiasm, though still in a mild-mannered
tone. You didn't want to creep her out by getting over-excited, even if she was probably used
to those kind of reactions. You still couldn't believe you were actually talking to a
Wonderbolt, something which you probably wouldn't have imagined otherwise. Saying it
was 'fate' was definitely taking it a bit far, but it was also one hell of a lucky coincidence
meeting her at that downtown bar. It did make you feel proud, that was for sure. Although
an autograph was very simple, it meant the whole world to you at that moment. You
couldn't wait.
After a while, the two of you finally reach a huge, expensive-looking hotel. So this is
where the Wonderbolts were staying... You didn't even want to know what it would cost to
rent a room there.
As the two of you got in, Spitfire leads you down a short corridor and quickly slip
into an elevator to avoid any attention from guests or eventual media, something you were
very grateful for. You'd probably end up getting lost in this place with any new crowd.
Spitfire didn't say much as you awaited reaching your destination on the 16th floor.
She seemed very relaxed, which you couldn't say for yourself. You try your best not to look
at the mare by your side.
'She probably wouldn't like that', you think to yourself. 'She's must be sick of being
stared at all the time...' Certain celebrities tended to get tired of all the attention sometimes,
right?

You finally reach your destination, and Spitfire gives you a sign to follow, now
smiling again. Something about her cute smile was oddly comforting, and you try smiling
back, which looks more like an odd grimace. Spitfire notices and laughs softly, but you can
tell she doesn't mean it in a humiliating way.
While even the corridors look very fancy, you don't bother taking time to admire
them as you follow Spitfire to her room. You're too busy thinking about getting that
autograph, as well as keeping your attention on the mare in front of you.
“This place is like a maze...”, you say, just to have something to talk about.
“Yeah, I know”, Spitfire replied. “Once you get used to it though, it's easy finding
your way around here.”
After a few minutes, you finally reach Spitfire's room. A nice, quiet place. Big
enough for at least fifty ponies though.
Spitfire tells you to sit down on a small couch in the corner, which you do without
questions. She disappears into another room, while you just sit and contemplate how
awesome life is at that moment.
She quickly returns, now with a camera in her mouth. You stand up, not too quickly,
and trot over to her while she sets it up.
“Okay, so how do you want your picture?”, she asks while adjusting the lens. “Any
specific pose or gesture...?”
“I really don't know...”, you say with a nervous chuckle.
“Okay, we'll just have to improvise then”, Spitfire says and sets the timer to ten
seconds.
She steps over to your side and places a hoof across your back, somewhat to your
embarrassment, but you'd probably manage. Probably.

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/a-collection-of-short-stories-volume-4 55/106
“Remember to smile”, she says, giving off a wide one herself. Still very excited, you
manage to put up something resembling a smile, and remain completely quiet as the blitz
finally goes off...
A few minutes later, Spitfire sits down by a table and scribbles her autograph on the
photo, addressing it to you. You're having a bit of trouble remaining calm as she hands you
the picture, but you manage to express your gratitude with a shy 'thank you very much' and
'you don't know how much this means to me.'
“No problem, kid”, she says, trotting off towards the couch. It felt a bit strange being
called 'kid.' You weren't that much younger than Spitfire herself, but you decide to keep that
a thought rather than put it out in words.
“Hey, I'm not really busy this evening, and I bet the others are gonna be out all
night”, Spitfire said, sitting down on the couch. “You seem like a nice guy, so... Wanna stay
and chat or something, if you're not busy?”
You were taken completely by surprise with her question. A chance to sit down and
chat with the leader of the Wonderbolts... The thought alone was both scary and thrilling at
the same time, but how could you possibly refuse an offer like that?
“I rarely get time to sit down and have a proper conversation with fans. Just thought
it'd be nice for a change.”
You nod enthusiastically, telling her it would be an honour. She chuckles at this,
saying that 'an honour' was to stretch it a bit.
“Okay, you just have a seat over there.” She nods towards a rather cozy-looking
chair placed a few feet away from the couch. You do as she tells you, and climb up into the
chair, folding your hooves in a good position as you lay down on your stomach.
Suddenly, Spitfire grabs a small container standing next to the couch. How come you
hadn't noticed that before?
“Want a drink?”, she asked, pulling out a bottle of what appeared to be whiskey.

“Well, I don't really...” You don't finish your sentence, but think about it for a few
seconds.
Hell, now was a good a time as any to get started.
“... Eh, why not?”, you say, shrugging away any doubts.
Spitfire smiles again, seemingly satisfied with your answer. She turns her back on
you for a few seconds to get a couple of drinking glasses. You keep looking at her, which
turns out to be the first tiny mistake of the evening. It's just now that you notice how...
provocative that skin-tight uniform looks from behind, at least on her.
You blush deeply and take your eyes off of her, now with a rather embarrassed look
on your face. You could feel your wings moving around on your back, and have to force
them back in place before she'd notice. Good going, cowboy...
Spitfire fills up a small glass and places it in front of you. You take a careful sip from
it, hiding a grimace as you swallowed the contents. You weren't used to drinking alcohol,
even in small doses, and this wasn't exactly improving your knowledge about the
surprisingly strong drink.
Not that she seemed to notice.
It didn't take long before the two of you broke into conversation, starting off simple.
She asks where you're from, how long you have been a fan, if you want to be a
Wonderbolt yourself and so forth. It was almost starting to feel like an interview, but that
wasn't a problem for you.
You keep on answering, and eventually start to feel more and more comfortable
being around your idol.
Hours seem to go as the conversation continues, and you had almost completely
shaken off your more nervous side, now eagerly sharing thoughts and stories with the
golden mare in front of you.

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/a-collection-of-short-stories-volume-4 57/106
One question that came to mind was what a big celebrity her had been hanging
around in a tiny bar when there were several other, much more 'exquisite' places. You ask
her, hopefully not offending her. It was a rather dumb question when you thought about it.
“Well... I guess I just prefer the peace and quiet.” Seems like she shares your own
reasons.
“Besides, it's a really cool place when you actually take time to look at it. Not a
whole lot of ponies do that.”
She puts her now empty drinking glass away, this time without moving off the
couch. You can't quite decide whether or not that is a good or a bad thing.
“I've been there before, but I can't say I've seen you around there. You just got old
enough to drink?”, she asks with a teasing grin. It actually wasn't that far from the truth
either...
Attempting to change the subject, you decide to ask her a little about her career.
“What's it like being a Wonderbolt?”, you ask curiously. She seems to like the
question.
"We're like a family in my eyes. It's exhausting sometimes, but it's also the best thing
in the world; being able to soar through the skies, travelling around, meeting all sorts of
ponies... Sure, there's a lot of trial and error in terms of training and stuff, but once you get
used to it, you'll hardly even notice it.”
-Taking a short break from the subject, she picks up the bottle and offers you another
drink. You politely refuse, as one glass has been more than enough for the night. Getting
drunk wasn't a top-priority at the moment.
“So kid...” She stops and looks away for a moment. ”... Sorry, I should stop calling
you that.”
“No, that's okay”, you reply, as you are actually starting to like it somehow.
8/2/2019 A Collection of Short Stories (Volume 4)
http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/a-collection-of-short-stories-volume-4 58/106
Her sudden change of tone was little surprising, but you didn't take much notice of it
as she immediately went back to her cool and relaxed mood, taking your approval with a
smile.
“Alright! So, you said you had been a fan since childhood?”
“Yeah, it's true”, you reply, eager to share more stories. “I remember back when
Firefly was on the team. Wish I had gotten a chance to meet her before she dropped out of
the team.”
On the subject of Firefly, you also mention that you had a crush on her when you
were a little schoolcolt, which was only one out of several. You had never actually been
with anypony though, which you also mentioned.
“Don't worry, kid. I'm sure you'll meet your mare someday.”
She pauses for a minute, studying you her eyes.
“You know kid... You're very different from what I expected when I saw you”, she
said.
At this comment, you start feeling a bit uneasy. Have you done something wrong...?
Spitfire apparently notices this, and laughs a bit.
“Hey, I didn't mean it in a bad way!” While that was certainly a relief, she still hadn't
explained what she meant.
“You're just so 'different' from other fans I've met over time. You're not one of those
hyperactive, flirty or wannabe-tough kind of colts around. You're more like 'that one kid' on
his first day at school.”
“Really?” you respond, flustered at the rather odd compliment.
“Yeah. You're just so shy and quiet... You talk so differently, you don't try to make
any sudden moves or want to show off... I guess I'm not used to that with all those other,
really crazy fans.”
8/2/2019 A Collection of Short Stories (Volume 4)
http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/a-collection-of-short-stories-volume-4 59/106
“I'm not shy...” you lie. It didn't seem to work.
“Oh c'mon, you don't think I can't tell?” Spitfire smirks at you, making you blush.
“Nothing wrong with being shy. I was a lot like that myself when I was little...”
To your surprise, her last sentence came across in a slightly odd way. Her voice
seemed to drop a little in pitch, and her smile seemed to fade a bit.
You want to ask her if something is wrong, but she quickly gets back to her senses
and regains the same expression as before.
“Like I said; nothing wrong with that. It fits you... Kind of cute, actually.”
Her calling you 'cute' makes you blush even deeper and you look away, slightly
embarrassed.
“See, I have taken time to talk to some other fans. Most of the colts just wanna know
about my fame, getting my official address... getting to first base... That kind of stuff. You're
not like that at all. You seem to be really passionate about the Wonderbolts and all, but you
also seem to... Well, you know.”
Actually you didn't know, and this 'praise' or whatever was getting quite
embarrassing for you. You decide to change the subject, and take lead of the conversation.
“Were you a big Wonderbolt fan as a kid? You know, since you joined the team and
all?”
You hadn't really looked into the past of the Wonderbolts. Not in much detail
anyway. Perhaps that had been a mistake, as the mood quickly seemed to fall.
Spitfire looks at you with a rather unsettling expression. Her smile seems to fade a
little bit, and her eyes move away from you, down towards the floor. Her mouth opens, as if
she is about to say something, but she doesn't make a sound. Somehow, your question
seems to have upset her...
You remain silent, waiting for a response. When she finally gives you one, it's with a
rather blank, hollow tone in her voice.

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/a-collection-of-short-stories-volume-4 60/106
“Yeah, I was a big fan...” While it doesn't really show on her face, as she looks more
thoughtful than angry, you can definitely tell something is wrong.
“Sorry, it's just... It was kind of rough.”
She looks up at you, her eyes having lost a bit of the warmth you had seen in them
before.
“I was the most talented flier in my entire class, and was tak en out at early age to
train for the Wonderbolts. My mother was kind of obsessed about me being good at this.
She was one heck of a flier herself though. Dad, he was... just okay, I guess. Honestly, the
whole 'childhood' thing just kind of disappeared among all the focus on me being the best all
the time.”
Her voice was starting to get colder as she spoke, almost angry in the end. “I hated it.
Nopony ever asked what I wanted, oh no. Just 'Wonderbolts', all the time. I was scared of
all that when I was little!”
You start feeling bad for having brought up the subject, wanting to apologize to
Spitfire.
“I didn't know you had it like tha-” You're quickly interrupted by Spitfire, who now
looks at you with heavy displeasure.
“Well, now you do”, she snapped at you, making you jump a little in your seat.
Spitfire quickly regrets having yelled, and her anger seems to fade a bit.
“Sorry, I didn't mean to yell. I just... I just feel like I could have done a lot more with
my childhood. I mean, I love being a Wonderbolt and all, I just didn't like being so...
different than other kids. A shy, really nervous filly gets really worked up over all that
attention. Yeah, I said I was really shy...I got over it with age, and I love my fans and all... I
just feel like I've lost a whole lot of the past.”
You nod carefully in agreement, deciding that it was better to keep quiet. You don't
want to say anything else to upset her.
8/2/2019 A Collection of Short Stories (Volume 4)
http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/a-collection-of-short-stories-volume-4 61/106
She looks up at you, directly into your eyes. You can just barely see your reflection
in them, even from a bit of distance. It feels strange, almost as if she's looking into your soul.
It felt good, somehow.
After looking at you like this for a while, Spitfire suddenly stands up and jumps off
the couch.
“Could you excuse me for a minute?”, she says, trotting slowly towards the door to
her private shower room. “I just need to be alone... You just wait on the couch.”
Without another word, she steps inside the room and locks the door behind her.
Feeling very confused, as well as concerned for Spitfire, you take her place on the
couch and wait for her to return, pondering what to say when she got back.
Perhaps it would be better if you just left. She seemed a bit weirded out, and you had
probably just screwed up the entire evening with a simple question. She said she was sorry,
but you knew she was still upset or angry. You feel like an idiot, starting to grow frustrated,
nervous and mad at yourself.
Yeah, the best choice was probably to just apologize and leave.
As you're about to stand up, you suddenly hear a creak from the shower doors.
Might as well just say it right now...
“Spitfire, I just wanted to-”
Before you can say another word, the sight before you takes all words away.
Spitfire's long, orange mane is now brushed down around her head, falling in a trail
across her neck. It was her 'normal' look; how she made it when she wasn't out performing
or doing anything similar.
If you hadn't known it was her, you probably wouldn't have recognized her, as she
was usually seen with a wild, spiky mane. That was the Spitfire you knew. This 'normal'
was your view on different.
8/2/2019 A Collection of Short Stories (Volume 4)
http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/a-collection-of-short-stories-volume-4 62/106
That, however, wasn't the only part that grabbed your attention;
Her skin-tight uniform was now gone, replaced only by her shining, yellow coat. Her
wings were resting at her sides. Her entire body was just as silky and smooth as her newly
brushed mane, and her features were more eye-catching than you had imagined. It was odd
seeing her completely undressed, as well as, to your shame, quite arousing. You didn't even
bother trying to keep your wings down, but she didn't seem to mind.
The now undressed mare looked up at you, her tearful gaze meeting your own.
“You don't know what it's like...” Her voice was shaking as she spoke, slowly
trotting over to you with unsteady steps. “When your mom always want you to pose for
cameras... When you don't have any friends outside the masses... When you‟re stupid,
drunk dad doesn't even remember your name at 12... When you're a star. That's all they see;
fame and attention, and a fancy uniform. For them, there's nopony behind it all.”
You had never even thought it was possible to see her, Spitfire, filled with such
genuine sorrow.
“That's what I mean about you being different... You don't care that I'm famous or a
big star... You look past the uniform and spectacle, at me. Talking to you is like talking to a
friend... You make me feel different. Different in a good way... like I can tell you
everything, really talk to you... You care...”
She shakes even more, and tears start forming in the corners of her eyes. Seeing her
this fragile is both heart-wrenching and very bizarre at the same time.
“You've probably always thought I'm a really cool, tough pegasus... I want to believe
I am, but I don't feel like that.” That was all you saw; the cool, tough pegasus, now
completely unsure and nervous.
“But you are cool...”, you reply whilst trying to smile. “In my eyes, you are the
coolest, toughest pegasus in all of Equestria.”
She looks up at you, searching for whatever answers you may have in your eyes. She
doesn't say a word, but let the tears roll down her cheeks as she sobs quietly.

Then, suddenly, you realise something. Something you hadn't really noticed before,
only in smaller degrees.
Now that she stands there right before you, it hits you just how beautiful she really is.
Completely exposed, letting out her heart to you, she isn't comparable to anything
else. Seeing the cool, laid-back mare crying openly before you was the most beautiful thing
you could possibly imagine. You want her to feel better, no matter the cost.
You place a hoof on her shoulder in an attempt to comfort her, which seems to work.
The two of you remain quiet for a while, not exchanging a word between each other. It was
almost surreal, standing there with her like that.
You gaze into her eyes, losing yourself in their unusual colour. You started to feel
lighter, almost completely free of all thoughts and senses. In that one second, something
seemed to snap in your head, releasing a wave of mixed emotions and doubts about what
you, almost unconsciously, were about to do.
Without thinking, without even considering what might come of it, you close your
eyes and lean forward, slowly moving in on the mare in front of you.
Then, you kiss her. Very gently, right on the lips, still keeping your eyes shut while it
lasts. It feels almost unearthly, and you let your body take complete control of you as the
amazing feeling fills your mind and body. Right now, it feels like the only right thing to do.
You eventually break the kiss, opening your eyes only to face the entire world
crashing down on you.
Your heart sinks when you look at Spitfire, standing completely still in front of you.
The expression on her face conveys confusion, shock, and fright.
Oh no... What have you just done? This was essentially tossing everything out the
window, including poor Spitfire's dignity. All her trust in you...
She would probably throw you out, maybe call security, accuse you of taking
advantage of her.
8/2/2019 A Collection of Short Stories (Volume 4)
http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/a-collection-of-short-stories-volume-4 64/106
She had all rights to hurt you. Hate you.
You feel your heart beating faster, as you become more and more terrified of what
she might say.
“I-I-I'm sorry...!”, you say with a shaky voice, feeling your throat getting dry as you
try your best at apologizing to Spitfire as her inevitable anger will overthrow you any
moment. ”'m so sorry...!! I wasn't thinking, I didn't mean to...”
Before you can finish your sentence, Spitfire places a hoof over your lips, silencing
you. Her confused expression has faded away, and is replaced by a tearful, yet beautiful, sad
look.
She moves her hoof around to the back of your head and stares into your eyes, still
with a mournful look in her own.
She pulls you closer, just like you did to her, and without even blinking, she presses
her lips against yours, returning your attempt at comfort by locking you in a deep,
passionate kiss.
It was blissful, much more so than the one you gave her just a few seconds ago. You
feel her tongue probing against your own, leaving a strong, orange-like flavour lingering in
your mouth, completely filling your mind over time. You are convinced; nothing in the
world could taste better.
She doesn't let go, doesn't stop or pull away. The two of you remain entwined, both
of you with your eyes closed as you explore each other‟s' muzzles, her tongue gently
pressing against your own.
You feel a wet brush from a tear hitting your face as it rolls down Spitfire's cheek,
leaving a thin trail of moisture on her face. It doesn't matter, as you are both completely lost
in the simple, yet incredible sensation.
8/2/2019 A Collection of Short Stories (Volume 4)
http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/a-collection-of-short-stories-volume-4 65/106
She wraps her forehooves around you, and you do the same to her, carefully rubbing
her neck with your left hoof, letting her relax completely as she lets out all her emotion
without a word. With your hooves now on her back, you can feel a light brush from a
feather as her wings slowly unfold...
If you had the choice, you could live in that moment forever; just standing there
holding the gorgeous mare close, all in utter silence.
After what seems like forever, Spitfire finally breaks the kiss. You look at her, feeling
relieved and warm on the inside.
Spitfire's sad expression has now formed into a smile, and although you can still see
a small trail of tears running down her cheek, she looks happier than you've seen her all
evening, maybe happier than you've ever seen her. Her wings are now fully extended, just
like your own, but it doesn't bother either of you.
You smile back, pulling her closer into a warm embrace. Something tells you she
really needed this.
The two of you remain standing there for a long time. Spitfire seems completely at
peace as you gently keep gently stroking and nuzzling at her mane, her soft breaths warm
against your own.
She pulls away and presses her nose against yours, looking you deep in the eyes. You
lean forward and, without resistance, gently lick away the remaining tears on Spitfire's
cheek. She gives off a slight laugh and looks down, blushing.
“Sorry, I'm not usually this 'straight-forward' with other ponies...” She has finally
gotten that warm, friendly tone back in her voice, even it still sounds a little shy and uneven.
“I didn't mean to be so overly sentimental...”
Starting to feel like a broken record, you repeat her movement from before, putting a
hoof over her lips. The two of you laugh a little, and you feel yourself blushing just like her.
8/2/2019 A Collection of Short Stories (Volume 4)
http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/a-collection-of-short-stories-volume-4 66/106
Without any hesitation, she carefully leans forward again and kisses you again.
Feeling her hooves tracing up your neck, you relax completely as she gently pulls you down
onto the couch.
You feel her soft, warm body rubbing against your own, her chest heaving as she
breathes deeply, still making out with you. This time, however, it seems you both want to
take it a little bit further...
Your lips move away from hers, and you let your nose trace down across her face
and neck, further across her sternum.
You plant a soft trail of kisses further down, feeling every movement as her breathing
grows heavier while your hooves move up her sides and onto her erect wings, carefully
massaging them.
The sound of her rhythmic breathing fills your ears as you let out your tongue and
lick down her stomach, increasing her arousal even more.
You are enjoying every bit of it as much as she is, as her body heat is practically
transferred over to you as you move a bit further down. Although it seems risky, you decide
to take the chance...
You move even further down, and start licking across her hindlegs and inner thighs,
making her give off a loud moan of pleasure, your hooves now massaging her flanks with all
the tenderness they could give her.
You don't dare to go for her more intimate parts; you would never do that to a filly,
not without her permission. Besides, it could come off as if you were trying to 'take
advantage' of her, which was about as far from the truth as it could get. You just wanted her
to feel better right now. Still, you couldn't help but love it... Love her...
Suddenly, Spitfire grabs your head and pulls you back up, forcing you into another
hot, deep kiss.
She stands up, still holding on to you, and guides you towards a large bed placed in
the corner of the room. The two of you fall right onto it, lips still connected.
8/2/2019 A Collection of Short Stories (Volume 4)
http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/a-collection-of-short-stories-volume-4 67/106
You just let her do as she pleases, and rub her wings a little harder, making her moan
louder. You lick across her neck and jawbone, and she does the same to you. You make a
soft moan yourself, looking into her eyes as you move your hooves to the base of her wings,
giving a good, rough push against them. She copies your movement, and start rubbing
yours. The pleasure is beyond description, and suddenly, you both seem to find each other's
most sensitive spots...
Without warning, she gives off a loud gasp, throwing her hooves around you. You
barely manage to hold back a little scream yourself as you give her neck a very gentle bite,
much to her enjoyment.
The sensation finally dies down, and the two of you collapse in each other‟s arms.
Spitfire rolls you over on your back, and lies down on top of you, still breathing heavily.
You carefully nibble her ear, making her giggle a bit. She gives you another kiss, this time
on the cheek, just to move back onto your chest, resting silently.
“Sorry... I guess I got a little carried away...” you say in an embarrassed voice.
“That's okay...” she says, stroking your mane as her gaze moves back up to your
own. You're not sure what else to say, and decide that maybe it's better to remain quiet.
You smile at her, and let her continue to rest on top of you, breathing against your
chest.
Time passes by faster than you'd think. It has started raining outside, thickening
some of the fog out in the night. The loud noise of water splashing against the roof fills your
ears, making you even more relaxed. Spitfire snuggles up next to you, looking at you from
the side.
“You can spend the night here if you want to”, she says.
“I probably won't be here when you wake up though... Still, I don't want you to
catch a cold or anything in the rain.”
Just as you're about to say yes, the thought of the other Wonderbolts comes to mind.
You ask her about them, and if they'll be fine with this.

“Don't worry about them. They won't mind.” Looking curious, Spitfire moves a little
closer and speaks.
“Hey... When you kissed me back there...” She paused, and gently strokes your
cheek. “Nopony has ever kissed me like that.”
“What do you mean 'like that'?”, you ask.
“Like they really meant it...”
You smile, returning her soft touch with your own hoof. Yes, you had meant it with
your whole heart. Nopony could deny that.
Spitfire snuggles up to you, her nose meeting yours.
“...Thanks, kid.”
She takes a quick glance at a clock on her night-table.
“Hey, we've still got a few hours alone before the others come back...”
A grin spreads across your face, as you know exactly what she has in mind.
“Never thought your first time would be with a Wonderbolt, huh?” she says,
grinning back at you.
“Sure didn't.”
“I guess it happens...”
Without another word, you wrap your hooves around each other as you let her carry
you off, burning like a fire in the evening sky...
You wake up several hours later, still with a warm, fuzzy feeling remaining from
your rather 'interesting' night with Spitfire. She is indeed gone now, but it doesn't really
bother you anymore.
You would attend the next Wonderbolt show, seeing her again. And the next one
after that...

Getting up, you take the elevator back down, now with a signed picture and an
optimistic smile.
As you're about to leave the hotel, the desk clerk in the lobby calls out your name.
“Excuse me, sir. Miss Spitfire left a message for you.” He trots over to you and
hands you a white envelope with your name on it.
You thank the clerk, and decide to leave. You want to read the note in private, still
not knowing exactly what to expect from it.
You find a quiet spot outside, and open the envelope. Along with a note, it also
contains a ticket and a golden feather. Spitfire's feather.
Not taking too much time to look at either, you go for the note...
Hi, kid.
I can't possibly thank you enough for last night, and I wish I could have been there to
say goodbye. Unfortunately, we had to leave as fast as possible. Harsh training and planning,
you know... By the way, the other girls thought you were cute.
Still, I want you to have these. A free ticket is the least I can do, and you can have as
many as you want in the future.
Again, thank you so much. I'll never forget that evening with you, and I hope I'll see
you on the next show. Just make sure to wave.
Love you,
Spitfire.
PS!
You mentioned that you had never been with anypony yet. Not to rush anything, but...
I am single, just so you know.

Most of the future is still uncertain for you.
You'll probably never be able to join the Wonderbolts themselves, not with your
skills.
And yet, Spitfire's words told you what you hadn't believed yourself, the fact that
there are no limits.
It was true:
You are the luckiest colt in the entire world.

You toss your saddlebag onto the dark green sofa in your living room. It was always
heaviest this time of the week. What is it your students say? “TCIF.” Thank Celestia indeed.
At the end of the school week, Cheerilee was always all smiles and walking out with her
students like she was a grade-school filly again. You, on the other hand, were completely
wiped out by five days of explaining the differences between Manehattan and Fillydelphia.
Just the other day, you‟d given the snarky answer “Well, ponies actually WANT to live in
Manehattan.” That got you in a little bit of trouble with one of the parents, apparently born
there herself. You thought about the episode, took a deep sigh, and mumbled under your
breath “If you liked it so much, why did you come to Ponyville?”
No matter. Questions were done for the week. The toughest choice on your mind is
what to listen to while you sit on the sofa. You pick out Colt A, one of your favorite albums,
and put it in your stereo. The foreign-sounding pony sings about everything being in its right
place, and as you lay yourself down next to your bag of papers to grade, you agree with
him. You start to nod in time with the music, then with drowsiness, and soon you fall asleep

You wake with a start. The second song on the disc is just ending, so you haven‟t

You glance at the door. Who is visiting you? Hay, who even knows where you live?
“Please don‟t be a salespony, please don‟t be a salespony”, you murmur to yourself,
remembering the last one to come around. She was pretty and batted her eyes at you, and
the next thing you knew you had four magazine subscriptions. You take a deep breath and
open the door.
No one. Then you hear a small cough from below. You look down, and a small pink
head pokes out from behind the door frame.
“Cherry?” you say, recognizing your student.
“Can I come in, sir?” she says, very obviously nervous.
You scan the area for any adult ponies. “Where‟s your mother, Cherry?”
She looks up at you, and her eyes get big. “Pleeeease?”
You feel a lump in your throat, but you nod. After she enters your house, you look
around outside one more time before closing the door. Cherry‟s a personal favorite of yours.
She seems genuinely interested in the lessons you give, and she does better at memorizing
cities than most of the class. But usually she‟s confident and full of energy. Not like now.
“What are you doing here, Cherry?” She looks at your stereo and scrunches up her
face.
“What exactly are you listening to?”
You turn off the music and turn to face her again. “You‟re avoiding the question.
How did you know I live here?”
“Mom and I live just a couple houses down. I‟ve seen you come here after school
before.”
You nod. “Okay, that‟s one mystery solved. Now, why don‟t you tell me why you‟re
here?”

Cherry runs into your kitchen at the sound of hooves at the door, much firmer than
last time.
“Open up! I know you‟re in there!” shouts a female voice.
You swallow hard. You thought you were done being yelled at for the weekend.
“I‟m coming...” you choke out, trying to sound like you‟re not terrified by what‟s waiting on
the other side. Something worse than an Ursa Major and a Hydra combined: an angry
mother. You open the door. “Hello, Miss Punch...” you start to say, but she pushes past
you.
“Where is she??” She‟s already in your living room, looking under your couch.
“Romana said she saw her come over here, so where is she?”
You take a deep breath. “Miss Punch, I...”
Berry walks right up to you and looks you right in the eyes, her own filled with fury.
“I don‟t want to hear any excuses. This has nothing to do with you. Just tell me where she
is.”
Your first instinct is to tell her she ran into the back, so that she‟ll go grab Cherry and
take this whole terrifying situation out of your hands. But then you remember that you have
a certain responsibility to your students, to keep them safe, whether at school or elsewhere.
“I‟m afraid I can‟t do that, Miss Punch.”
She practically snarls at you. “What??”
“Until you calm down, I‟m just not comfortable letting you-”
For a second, you see nothing. Just blackness, accompanied by an immense pain to
the side of your face. Then you‟r e looking at blurs, a growing patch of red on a backgroundof brown. Things start to clear up, and you realize you‟re looking at the floor of your house,
and the red is dripping down your muzzle. You look up at Berry Punch. She has tears in her
eyes. “Oh no. Oh Celestia. Oh, I am so, so sorry!” She looks around, biting her lip, and runs
out of your house.

You hear Cherry‟s voice from the back. “I‟m coming out now! Has she
calmed...what happened?” she cries in shock, seeing your wound. You want to answer her ,
but you‟re not entirely sure yourself. Suddenly, Berry Punch appears in the doorway again,
accompanied this time by a blue unicorn. Cherry cringes a little, but she sees the tears in her
mother‟s eyes and approaches her slowly.
Berry speaks up. “Sweetie, I know you‟re upset at me. And you have every reason to
be upset at me. I understand if you don‟t want to talk to me right now, so would you mind
going with Romana for now?” Cherry turns and looks at you as if asking permission, and
you nod slowly. She stands next to the unicorn. “I‟ll be by in a little bit too properly
apologize to you, but first I need to apologize to your teacher, okay? Mommy...mommy has
put him through a lot.” Romana and Cherry walk off together, leaving you alone with Berry
Punch. She grabs a rag from your kitchen table and approaches you. You flinch as she lifts
her hoof to your face. She wipes away the excess blood. “I think it‟s stopped bleeding.”
You finally summon up the courage to speak again. “Miss Punch, I...”
She laughs nervously. “Please...please don‟t call me Miss Punch right now. I‟ve
never done anything like that before.”
“You can‟t just...”
She interrupts you again. “I know, I know. I can‟t. I shouldn‟t. I don‟t know what
happened. I just know that I‟m sorry.” The tears ar e building up again. She turns her back
on you, ashamed, with the pretense of rinsing the rag out. She comes back and begins
wiping the rest of the blood off of your face. “I‟m so sorry.”
In spite of the pain you‟ve just suffered, you find that you really do believe her. But
questions nag at your mind. “What exactly happened back there?”
Berry shakes her head. “It‟s nothing.”
You give her a sideways glance. “Clearly that‟s not true.”

She puts the rag down. She walks over to your sofa and sits down, then with a hoof
waves you over. You take a seat next to her and look at the sorrowful expression on her
face. “She was playing with that Scootaloo again at recess today.”
You vaguely remember Cherry being one of the group that the little orange pegasus
had challenged to a race that afternoon. Nothing particularly unusual about it, but you don‟t
want to instigate things, so you just nod.
“Cherry‟s going to get hurt, playing with that one.” Her voice softens, and it‟s clear
she was trying to choose her next words more carefully. “If I tell you this, can it stay
between us?” Again, you nod. “I had a rough day today, so when I got home I had a bit of
wine. Okay, more than a bit. I don‟t normally drink like that, honest. But like I said, it was a
rough day, and when Cherry came home and told me about the racing, I just lost it. I yelled
at her. I said things I shouldn‟t have. And then, I bucked a vase across the room. That‟s
when she ran to you.”
You say nothing for a moment, searching for the right things to say. “Has this sort of
thing happened before?”
She shakes her head. “I‟ve been upset with her before, but I‟ve never let it get the
better of me like this.”
“Hmm...” you murmur, not sure what to say. She takes your silence as a judgment.
“I really mean it. I‟d never hurt her. I still can‟t believe I did that to you.” She sniffs,
and her eyes moisten. “I was just so scared of losing her. I thought she‟d run away from me
and she‟d never come back.”
You look at Berry as tears start to roll down her cheeks. Not that long ago, you were
terrified of her, but now you see just how vulnerable and fragile she really is. You pause for a moment before you reach out and wipe one of the tears from her face. “I don‟t think you
need to worry about that. She loves you. She was just scared, is all.” You smile at her,
hoping it will cheer her up a little bit.

She looks up at you. Her lavender eyes sparkle with tears.
“I‟m not a bad mother, am I?”
You shake your head. “No, Berry, no. But you have to keep this sort of thing from
happening again.”
She sniffs. “How do I do that?”
“Just start tackling your problems one at a time. I‟ve known ponies going through
similar circumstances. And if you want, I‟d be happy to help you.” Again, you smile at her,
and this time she smiles back. It‟s a beautiful smile. You‟re so distracted by her smile that
you almost don‟t notice that she‟s pushed her nuzzle within an inch of your own.
“Thank you so much,” she says softly. You can smell the faint aroma of red wine
and you feel her hot breath on your lips. You try to think of something to say, but the only
thing you‟re thinking seems...improper. You get up from the sofa.
“Well...” you squeak out. You clear your throat. “I‟m glad we were able to reach an
understanding. Maybe we can talk more about this tomor row?” You are trying hard to hide
your awkwardness with what almost happened, but you know you‟re not doing a very good
job. The expression on Berry‟s face proves how correct you are, a mixture of nervous
amusement and shame.
“Yeah,” she says, slowly making her way towards the door. She looks up at you.
“I‟m sorry about that, about all of this. I am truly serious about getting better. Cherry is the
most important thing in the world to me.”
You nod. “And I‟m serious about helping you. But it‟s going to take time.”
“Whatever it takes,” she says firmly, and walks out the door toward Romana‟shouse.
You close the door behind you, and rub the sore spot on your head. You hope that
you‟re not making a big mistake.

The next morning, you‟re woken up early by a knock on the door. Your head feels a
little puffy on the left side, but at least you‟re not feeling any pain. When you open the door,
Berry is standing there with a basket. Her initial smile fades as soon as she looks at your eye.
“Oh Celestia, it looks awful! It‟s all black and swollen! I‟m so, so sorry!”
You wave the apology away with your hoof. “It‟s okay, I‟ve had worse.” Truthfully,
you haven‟t had worse, but after seeing how upset it made her last night, you‟re happy to
forgive her for the incident. You look down at the basket. “So what did you bring me?”
It takes her a moment to collect her thoughts after being confronted with your shiner,
but she eventually remembers her package. “Oh! This is the rest of the wine from my house.
I don‟t want it around me anymore, but I hate to throw something away when another pony
might want it.”
Opening the package, you find three bottles, each an impressive vintage. “Wow,”
you say, genuinely impressed. “This is some quality stuff you have here.”
Berry turns her nose up at the suggestion. “It‟s all dragon sweat as far as I‟m
concerned. It makes me act terribly and I will not have it in the same house as my
daughter.”
“Good girl,” you say, your face turning red once you realize what you said. Berry
just smiles at you. You invite her inside, putting the basket in your kitchen while she makes
herself comfortable. “So, did you talk to Cherry last night?”
She nodded solemnly. “Yes, I did. It was a long time coming.”
“And?”
“And...she said she was sorry for running, but she was scared. She told me that wasthe first time in her life she‟d ever been scared OF me.”
“Of you?”

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/a-collection-of-short-stories-volume-4 78/106
Berry‟s lower lip started to tremble. “She said that she‟s spent a long time being
scared FOR me. She said she knows I‟d never hurt her, but that she doesn‟t know whether
or not I might hurt myself.” She looks at you with tears in her eyes. “Do you know what
that must be like for a little filly? What do you do when your mother is more scared of the
world than you are?”
You feel a pressure in your chest. If ther e‟s one thing you do know, it‟s how terrible
it is to watch someone you love self-destruct. “The three years before I left Manehattan were
the worst in my life. Before then, my father had always been strong, the strongest stallion I
had ever known. But one day, something changed. His moods became unstable. I couldn‟t
predict whether he‟d react to something I said with laughter or yelling. Either way it was
frightening. Eventually, he didn‟t even speak normal words anymore. Just mumbled in his
own little language. Then he disappeared one morning. Without a trace. Left me, my mom,
and my sisters looking all over for the week until he washed up on the shore of the Hoofson.
We still don‟t really know what happened.” You feel a sting on the left side of your face as a
salty tear rolls past your wound.
Berry looks at you sympathetically. “I can‟t do that to Cherry. She deserves better
than that.” She collapses into sobs again.
You walk up to her and wrap a hoof around her. “You won‟t. You‟re stronger than
he was.” And she squeezes you as if holding onto you will keep her safe forever.
The visits become routine. You can expect to see Berry at least twice during the
weekend, and sporadically during the week. Sometimes the visits consist of nothing but
basic conversation. Sometimes she cries on your shoulder. One time, you cry on hers. She
brings over cookies from Sugarcube Corner, while you make coffee. You talk about
everything under the sun: the mayor, Winter Wrap Up, Princess Celestia. You talk about
Cherry, and she talks even more about Cherry. But mostly you talk about her, and you get
closer and closer.

Berry shrugs. “Whatever. In any case, they‟re having fun.”
You sit up and look at her seriously. “And no problems?”
She smiles. “I still get worried. But I handle it much better now.” She pulls you in for
an embrace. “Thanks to you.”
You close your eyes and sigh contentedly. “You did all the hard work. You deserve
the praise.” She pulls her head back, and you expect her to release you, but when you open
your eyes, you find her looking deep into yours. You gulp.
“You alright?” she says coyly. This time, there‟s no trace of alcohol on her breath,
just a sweet scent that you find more intoxicating than the contents of any of those bottles
she left with you. You can‟t quite catch your breath, and all you can think about is sharing
your next gasp of air with her. As if reading your mind, she says “yes.” And you push your
lips against hers, and she returns the kiss with equal fervor. You feel her tongue pass into
your mouth and you take it in, letting her explore while you do the same. You place your
hoof behind her head as you lay her on her back. You break the kiss to look at her, draped
across your sofa, wanting you. She has the faintest trace of moisture in her eyes, but she‟s
smiling. “I really am sorry about your head.”
You smile back and kiss her softly on the nose. “You‟ve more than made up for it,
Berry.” You embrace each other and the world dissolves.
Much later, while she lazily traces circles on your chest with her hoof, she looks up.
“What time is it?”
You shrug, and go to embrace her again, but she hops off of you and runs to the
window. She gasps. “It‟s dark outside! I can‟t believe I lost track of the time like this! I gotta
go pick up Cherry!” She‟s halfway out the door when she stops and turns around. She givesyou an embarrassed look. “I‟m really sorry to run out on you like this. But I promised her
we‟d spend tonight together.” She straightens her back out and stands as if at attention. “It
took me a while, but I know that while she‟s growing up, that little filly still needs me.”

You smile back at her. “I got news for you, Berry.”
She crooks her head to the side. “What do you mean?”
“She‟s not the only one.”
Berry‟s face flushes as she smiles. She lets out a little squeal of glee and then skips out
the door and into the night.

You grimace as the single crystal shod hoof connects with your face. It was just after five in the evening on the day of the Grand Galloping Gala and trouble had already kicked
off. It had began when Princess Celestia had offered her little sister, Luna, a drink to mark
the start of the evening‟s festivities. Luna, having not drank alcohol since before her
banishment, picked up quite a taste for the sweet pink wine and had soon worked her way
through the entire stock of it for the gala, fifty bottles litter ing the floor of the castle‟s cellar.
For any other being, this would have been a death sentence, however a mere inconvenience
for a deity such as Luna or her sister Celestia - both of whom were almost painfully
immortal.
When she had been found, the Princess had lost three of her antique crystal shoes,
her hair was disheveled and her eyes didn‟t entirely focus together. She had almost
immediately started trying to flirt with your superior, who had accompanied you to try and
get her back into her room without any of the earlier guests noticing, eventually pulling
another guard, a pegasus sergeant, in to help after Luna had started becoming even more in-
cooperative. Together, the three of you had just about managed to carry the struggling
alicorn until she had remembered about her magic; that was when things started getting
difficult.
Just Following Orders…

“Kid, grab the crown, it‟s just by your hooves” the armoured earth pony next to you
said. You snapped back into reality after the kick had left you seeing stars, bending over to
pick up the blue crystal crown in your mouth, which had fallen and was spinning on the
spot as your two companions fought to move the struggling and now singing Luna down
the corridor approaching her chambers.
“Now Ma‟am, please give me my sword back! I need that!” The Captain said again,
his voice moving through the amusement he had when the two of you first found her into
the gruff aggravated voice of law enforcers everywhere when dealing with drunks. Through
the mixed mess of guards and a certain intoxicated royal pony, you can see the sword being
swung around drunkenly in the air by Luna‟s magic.
“Coooome fly wit‟ me, let‟s fly, letsflyaway!” she bellowed merrily, the sword
bobbing along like the cane of a conductor towards an invisible orchestra. The other guard
with you and the captain, one of Celestia‟s elite pegasus guards, took to his wings, grabbing
the sword in his teeth and throwing it down the corridor with a flick of his neck.
“Nicely done.” You hear the captain growl, still pushing at the deep blue mare, who
was now singing about going to the moon.
Slowly, you make progress to her royal bed chamber, the pegasus guard flying over
the top of the two of you and Luna to throw open the doors.
“I DON‟T WANT TO GO TO BEEEED!” Luna cries, realising where you were
headed, “I want to party!”
“Ma‟am, your sister has told us to put you to bed.” You say, trying to be the voice of
reason, “You‟re going to be really sick in the morning.”
“Hmph. Fine! But you‟re all coming with me and I‟m going to do things to every oneof you!” She responds, looking at the three of you in turn, trying and failing to seductively
lick her lips. She stops struggling, causing you and the captain to fall over, still trying to
push at something that wasn‟t there anymore. She looks back again and giggles, you hearing
the captain swearing under his breath as the two of you rise to all four hooves again.

“Celestia above, I thought Blueblood was a pain in the flank.” he mutters, ignoring
the Royal's demand.
“Kid, the Cap and I need to get back to the party, we‟re not even supposed to be on
duty tonight.” the sergeant says, flapping his wings as he lands next to the door.
“BUT I HAVEN‟T SAID YOU CAN LEEEEAVE!?” Luna bawls again, collapsing
dramatically on her bed, throwing a drunken tantrum. The sergeant facehoofs and trots out
of the room, the Captain pushing you out of the door with him.
“Look, you‟re going to have to stay here and watch her. We‟re a bit late, guests
should start arriving any second now and we‟re supposed to be in formal dress for it. You
need to stay here. Whatever you do, don‟t let her out of the room, or Celestia knows, I‟ll
have your backside in Duke‟s office by sunrise tomorrow.” The Captain growls,
intimidating you immensely, “And if that idiot nephew of hers shows up, he‟s not to go in.
The two of them don‟t get on too well and to be honest, I can‟t stand him either.”
“Aye, if he talks down to me this time, he‟ll be feeling my hoof to the back of his
head, I tell you.” The sergeant chimed in, “Nothing worse than an immodest nobleman.”
“I met him, he seemed alright.” You say, immediately receiving a look of utter
disgust mixed with slight shock from your superiors. The Captain turns to the sergeant with
a “go away” sort of look, to which the sergeant then rolls his eyes and trots off down the
corridor. Seeing a slight rage rearing in the Captain‟s eyes, you look straight down
sheepishly, “Aye Sir, I won‟t let her out.” The Captain snorts with disdain, before snapping
off a salute and cantering after the sergeant.
Brushing a bead of nervous sweat from your brow, you take up your post outside the
Princess‟s room. Down the hallway, you can just about hear the small formal band begin to
play as guests arrive, combined with that sounded like gentle sobbing. Twitching slightly,
you turn your head, trying to work out where this new sound was coming from; your ears
eventually nudging your brain into realising that Princess Luna was obviously crying her
eyes out in her room. Unsure what to do, you put your ear against the door to confirm your
theory, being able to quite clearly hear the royal mare within.

Panicking slightly at the thought that you and the other two guards had been slightly
harsh to her Majesty, you open the door a fraction with your nose, seeing her sat looking
out the window at the line of carriages arriving at the Gala below when you poke your
helmeted head through the gap. Something about leaving her crying there didn‟t feel right;
you quietly open the door a bit more, just wide enough to slip inside, your hooves making a
quiet clopping sound as they impact the stone floor of Luna‟s room. You step onto the rug
that she was sitting on, the warmth welcome on the pads of your hooves, stopping a foot
away from the crying filly.
“Ma‟am, are you alright?” You ask, cautiously. Her head turns, you can see streaks
of mascara running down her face, “I‟m sorry. Is there anything I can do?” you apologise,
feeling it obvious that she wasn‟t alright at all. She stays silent for a little while, looking out
of the window again. You turn to leave, feeling unwanted before she stops you, calmly
placing her remaining shod hoof on your armour.
“Please, don‟t go.” she asked quietly, tears still streaming down her cheeks, “Come
and sit with me.” she adds, patting a spot on the rug next to her.
“I don‟t know if I can Ma‟am, the Captain said...”
“The Captain is mean, he‟s always mean to me.” Luna replies, slightly sharper than
before but still slurred. You sigh, silently agreeing with her, “He‟s always mean to you too, I
heard him at the door. I think you‟re nice though, so you may sit with me if you wish.”
A lump forms in your throat as you very cautiously sit down next to the younger
Princess. She can see how nervous you are, even through her drunken state, bursting into
tears again.
“Nobody... Loves... MEEE!” She wails, leaning away from you. Realising that you
need to try and keep her quiet, you put a hoof on her shoulder.
“Princess, I‟m very fond of you, you‟ve always been kind to me.” you say, however
this does not help.

“THAT DOESN‟T COUNT!” She screams, “My stupid sister says that I‟m not
allowed to flirt with anypony. Do you know how long it‟s been since I was last with a
stallion?”
“I... I don‟t know ma‟am.”
“A THOUSAND YEARS!” She bellows between loud sobs. “All...” she sniffles,
“...I want is a hug.”
You think about the options available to you at the moment. You could hug her of
course, as it would be the decent thing to do, but you were unsure on the protocol of such
contact with the nobility.
Gingerly, you try to inch your foreleg around the shoulders of the still weeping
alicorn, feeling her unexpected warmth when she leaned into you, resting her head on your
shoulder, tears trickling between the plates of your enchanted armour.
“I was right, you are lovely.” Luna says, head still on your shoulder.
“Ma‟am, may I admit something?”
“Certainly, what is it?”
“I‟ve never actually done this before, let alone with someone of your...”
“Please, don‟t remind me of my status.” she replies, interrupting, “Wait, never
before?” she adds, giggling a little.
“Aye Ma‟am.” you respond, blushing.
“So... you‟ve never been kissed?” she giggles again, bringing her unshod forehoof up
to your chest. You blush,
“Well, yes I have Ma‟am, but it was a long time ago... before I joined the guard,
ma‟am. She was an old fr...”
Before you can finish your sentence, the drunken princess presses her lips against
yours, removing your helmet with her magic as she pushes into it, forcibly slipping her

tongue into your mouth, the taste of alcohol still strong, with a hint of the fruit the wine had
been made with. Your eyes widen, realising that this is a HUGE breach of protocol and
probably something you could be executed for. She pulls away, registering the look of worry
and confusion on your face.
“Ma‟am, I...”
“Shh. Stop. Just call me Luna. Let‟s just be two ponies enjoying the view tonight,
watching my beautiful moon and stars.”
“Yes Ma‟a- I mean, Luna.”
You see her look into your eyes, removing your helmet had partly broken the magic
affecting your appearance, the colour around them changing from the standard blue to a
deep emerald green.
“You‟ve got lovely eyes. What colour is your coat normally?”
“White. A bit dull I‟m afraid.” You respond, still uneasy about referring to her
Majesty in such an informal manner.
“I‟m sure you‟re very attractive. Who knows maybe I could make you my
bodyguard? Celestia has that mean old captain half the time, something about a jester, back
before I came home... I don‟t see why I couldn‟t request you.”
“I... that would be something I‟d like.” You admit honestly, warranting another kiss
from Luna, this time on your cheek.
“Thank you for looking after me. I hope I haven‟t been too much of a bother. I‟ve
just been a little emotional recently, I get so lonely.”
You think about her words for a few moments before seizing enough courage to lean
in and kiss her, more gently than she had kissed you before, not daring to breach her mouth
with your tongue. Pulling back, you see a look of disapproval on Luna‟s face;
“Oh no, I‟m so sorry, I thought-” you start to apologise before being cut off again,

“More tongue. I prefer it that way.”
Your lips meet again, this time parted a little further, allowing for you both to
explore each other‟s mouths, her tasting the mint leaves you had eaten before your shift, you
tasting the sweet fruity drink she had partaken of. The kiss seems to last forever, until you
both run out of breath and part, smiling, faces flushed.
“How was that? Alright for your fourth kiss?” Luna asks, seeming a little more sober
than before.
“It was lovely, would you like another?”
Luna smiles, “Maybe later. I‟d like to watch the stars a little longer with you... It‟s so
lovely and romantic this time of night.” sighing as she puts her head on your shoulder again.
You feel a slight shudder beneath you, almost as if something immensely heavy had just
fallen to the floor elsewhere in the castle but ignoring it in favour of the mare sat next to
you.
You spend the next hour or so with Luna, pointing out the constellations your
mother had taught you as a foal, laughing with the Princess at how bizarrely the names had
changed since Luna had thrown them into the night sky so long ago. After that, you had
watched the coaches leaving the gala together, before Luna spoke up once more.
“I think you should go, I imagine it‟s getting close to the end of your shift.”
You nod, not willing to argue with the alicorn who had so easily melted your heart.
She kisses you for the last time that night, you enjoying the scent of her mane that had been
so close to your nose.
“I promise I won‟t disappear anywhere, you don‟t have to worry about being hauled
in front of old Duk ey; I‟ll see if I can do something about the Captain as well. Will I see you
tomorrow?”
“It‟s my day off... We could meet in the gardens if that would be acceptable?” You
ask, “They‟re ever so lovely this year, the gardener spent forever getting them ready for the
Gala.”

“That would be lovely.” Luna replies, kissing you on the cheek before ushering you
to the door, “Good night guardsman.”
“Good night, your Majesty.” you reply. You see the corners of Luna‟s mouth turn
upwards and you both chuckle slightly as she closes the door behind you.
In the morning, you wake to an incredibly upset looking guard captain staring at you
in the barracks. Recognising this look, you immediately climb out of your bunk and snap to
attention, one foreleg thrown into a precision salute before returning to the ground.
“You. My office. Now.” he says, turning and leaving. You follow him into the
cramped workspace just off of the main hall of the royal guard tower. He takes a seat behind
the desk before hauling out the main rota for the personal guard for the next month.
“It seems that someone has taken a liking to you.” he says, retrieving a battered pipe
from the draw of his desk and filling it with shredded leaves, delicately dropping a match in
the top and sucking on it, “Her Majesty, Princess Luna, has requested that from now on,
you are part of her... Personal bodyguard... I‟ve had to reshuffle duties for the other guards
because of it. I also understand the two of you are meeting in the gardens later today?”
“Yes Sir, I promised to show her the new arrangements, sir.”
The Captain‟s face softens slightly and he raises an eyebrow, the angry look being
replaced with what you‟re sure was genuine concern.
“The gardens were destroyed last night. There was... an incident. I can however
r ecommend that you try the botanical gardens in the city below; they‟re nice this time of
year.”
“Uhm... Thank you sir.”
“You know,” the captain said, sucking thoughtfully on the pipe again, golden eyes
watching your every move, every twitch as he studied you, “One would say that something
going on between a member of the royal protectorate and the very princess he is meant to
protect is a bit inappropriate. Something happened between you two last night.”

You open your mouth to explain before he raises a hoof to motion you to be quiet.
“I‟m not going to tell anyone. Fortunately for you, Her Majesty is capable of giving
me executive orders that not even our chapter‟s Praetor or Sir Duke himself can over -rule.
Just be careful with her. Princess Celestia would slaughter anypony who would even
consider harming her dear little sister.”
“Sir, may I ask?”
“No. I‟ve never been involved with either of them. If you must know, I‟ve recently
started seeing an old friend. We‟ve been working through... a rough patch, letters that didn‟t
make it causing bitterness whilst we were out of contact, that sort of thing.”
“Oh, I‟m sorry sir.”
“Don‟t worry about it, kid.” The Captain says, smiling. “We‟ll be fine. Now, you
should run along, you wouldn‟t want to keep your date waiting.”
“Aye, sir.”

The cloud bursts into vapour and raindrops as you hurtle through it at full pelt. You
can hardly hear a thing, save for the high-pitched whistling of the wind through your ears.
You keep your eyes tightly shut; opening them would probably sting falling at this speed. Asfor your wings, they remain folded, fixed by your sides as you freefall further and further
down.
Speeding beyond the last of the clouds, you take the risk for opening your eyes just a
crack; the cold and wind is just about bearable to see properly. That‟s good. You need to be
able to see the ground when it„s- oh heck no, it„s much closer than you thought! For a split
second, a nasty shot of panic jolts through you, almost - almost - causing you to open your
wings from fear. Not yet. Not before she does first.
You crane your head to the side to see if she‟s still there… yes, there she is, falling at
the same speed, right behind you. Her mane and tail whips around furiously in the wind,
making a blur of colours that seem to leave a trail behind them. Her pale-blue wings are, like
yours, folded neatly by her sides, ready to spring open at just the right time. Her facial
expression is that of a focused, passionate artist, her mouth twisted into an ecstatic smile.
Rainbow Dash is loving every second of this!
Ignoring your watering eyes, you turn back to face the ground you‟re tearing towards
at an alarming rate; you can even make out the outlines of other ponies walking the streets
of Ponyville clearly! And you‟re only getting closer and closer to the earth, making it harder
and harder to resist the temptation to level-off with your wings and…
Spreading Your Wings and Hers

OkayscrewthisIgiveuppullbacknow!
You release your wings, flailing them wildly to prevent yourself from crashing into
the grass just yards away from you. As luck would have it, your panicked flailing technique
keeps you airborne, slowing your decent until you come to a stop in mid-air. Phew-
SWOOP!
Rainbow Dash, wings still firmly by her sides, dives past you at full speed! She‟s
fallen too far, too fast! Your face contorts into a look of grief and fear when you realise that
you can‟t stop her at this point! Your eyes widen in horror as she speeds straight down
towards the ground! There‟s no way she can stop herself at this rate!
She‟s gonna crash! She‟s going to crash and there‟s nothing you can do to save her…
Before your mind can even process what‟s happening, Dash‟s wings unfurl as fast as
lightning, and with a graceful twist of her outstretched body, her path bends at an almost
ninety-degree angle, to the point where she‟s flying directly parallel to the ground, just
inches below her! Moments later, she doubles back around towards you, before coming to a
mid-air stop, hovering next to you.
“Heh, looks like I win again, rookie!” she smirks, playfully flying circles around you,“First it was Cloud-Clearing, then Flying Manoeuvres, and now I beat‟cha in Freefall
Chicken! Talk about a whitewash of the week, huh?”
You nod uneasily, “Uh… yeah, you… you win again, I guess,” you croak, lowering
yourself to the ground and landing firmly on your own four hooves. You‟re still getting over
that stupid, crazy stunt she just pulled - what if she‟d opened her wings half a second too
late, or failed to change direction like that? You visibly shudder just thinking about it…
“Alright, what‟s wrong, rookie?” Rainbow Dash sighs, landing next to you. “Is it
„cause you lost? Don„t worry, I„ll let‟cha choose tomorrow‟s game!”
“Nah, it‟s not that, Rainbow,” you shake your head, keeping your eyes focused on
the floor, “I‟m just a little shook up from back there.”

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/a-collection-of-short-stories-volume-4 93/106
“Pfft! You‟re shook up? Seriously?” Rainbow Dash scoffs, “But you chickened out
long before you were gonna hit the ground! Did you see how close I was to it? Way closer!”
“I know, I saw,” you mutter under your breath, “That‟s exactly the point.”
“What?”
“Nothing.”
Dash‟s eyes narrow slightly as she scans your face, trying to figure out exactly what
you mean by that.
“Rookie, look at me for a minute,” she says, trying to get a clear look at you. Your
eyes remain fixed on the ground.
“Rookie, I‟m serious. Look at me,” a hint of sternness can be heard in her voice at
this point, as she takes a step towards you. Still avoiding her eyes, you glance down at her
hooves in front of you, but refuse to look any higher.
She raises one of her fore-hooves off the floor, places it under your chin and firmly
pushes your head up so you can look her in the eyes. Those strong, stunning, reddish-purple
eyes. Those eyes that could calm down anyone from panicking. Those eyes you can‟t look
away from any more…
“I‟ve been learning how to fly since I was a filly, you know that,” she explains, “It‟s
really sweet that you care so much, but I know what I‟m doing when it comes to dangerous
stuff like that. It‟s cool, alright? Just chillax.”
“Uh… okay,” you concede, still transfixed on her, “Sorry about that.”

“Hey, no problem!” she chirps, snapping back to her dynamic, energetic self,
“Listen, I gotta go now, need to clear some of the clouds drifting over from the Everfree
Forest. But if you wanna meet up at my house tonight, we‟ll chat about this later. Say,
seven-ish?”
“Seven?” you repeat, just to make sure you were hearing things properly; is Rainbow
Dash actually inviting you to her house? “At your place? Sure!”
“Great! See ya there!” and with that, she launches herself off the ground, ready to
make a beeline for the Everfree Forest.
“Oh, by the way, rookie…” she calls out, “Your eyes are still watering from the
freefall stunt you did back there! Just sayin!” and in a sudden blur of colour, she‟s gone.
Rainbow Dash thought your eyes were just watering from the stunt? Perhaps it„s
better not to correct her on that; they were welling up from the thought of losing her.
It has to be said; Rainbow Dash‟s house sure is a wonder.
You gaze up at the latest change to Dash‟s cloud-crafted home. Due to it being made
mostly from clouds, it‟s easy for a Pegasus to bend and change the house to his or her will.
And this is one heck of a change she‟s made! A cozy, five-story tower, complete with a
conservatory on the upper level. Her trademark colours (in other words, the whole
spectrum) run in bright streams and puddles of rainbow extract around a base cloud the
house resides on.

Standing just outside her door, you take a deep breath to calm your nerves. Putting
on your most confident face, you raise a hoof and use it to strike the door three times.
Knock-knock-knock.
… … … no answer? Maybe she‟s not home now. But then again, she DID say seven.
And it‟s five-minutes-past by now. You decided to purposefully turn up five minutes later
than the agreed time, in an attempt to not seem too eager. Heck, she said seven-ish after all.
For a moment, you wonder if you should knock again. Would that be rude? Perhaps
she‟s just taking her sweet time to open the door. No, that wouldn‟t make sense, not from
the fastest pegasus in Equestria.
“Hey, rookie! Up here!”
Your ears twitch when you hear Rainbow Dash‟s voice call seemingly from
nowhere. You crane your neck upwards to find her leaning out of a window ledge several
floors up, waving her fore-hoof to get your attention.
“Just fly up here, pal, no need for the whole „door‟ shtick at my place!”
Springing yourself off from the cloud-floor, you feel your heart beating in time with
your wings as you fly upwards, and rising as high as you are. Man, lucky Dash can‟t read
your mind, she‟d call that all kinds of soppy! When you finally reach the window ledge, she
extends her fore-hoof out to help pull you inside. And what kind of guest would reject the
kind hoof of a mare like her?
Setting your hooves down on the solid-cloud floor, your eyes take in the contents of
the room you‟re in. Various posters of flight-teams, athletes and musicians were plastered
across the walls, a signed Wonderbolts poster taking the most space. Two mare-shaped
mannequins stand next to her remarkable trophy cabinet - one mannequin is wearing a thin,
golden crown with wings protruding each side, and a golden neck-accessory with a ruby
lightning bolt. The other a carefully crafted, flowing rainbow-themed dress, that looks like it
was specifically made for Rainbow Dash herself.

“Sorry I couldn‟t answer the door just now,” she casually explains, “I was just
cleaning up the place for when you arrived. This room„s usually a mess, y„know!” The
thought of Rainbow Dash‟s room being messy doesn‟t surpr ise you very much - as much of
a perfectionist as she was with her flying, she never really focused on her own tidiness. Why
look tidy when you can look awesome, after all?
“I‟m just glad you invited me over, Dash. I‟ve never been inside your house before,”
you reply, then, for the sake of conversation, “So how was your little trip to the Everfree
Forest?”
“Not too bad. Since I was just breaking some clouds from there, I didn‟t have to go
into the forest itself.” Rainbow tells you, pulling herself onto the side of her bed, “Which is
always a good thing, especially since almost everything in there‟s trying to eat you or
something.”
“Really? It can‟t seriously be that dangerous, can it?” you ask. You‟ve never fully
explored the forest on the outskirts of Ponyville, and the few times you had visited there,
you didn‟t go deep enough to tempt any real danger.
“Oh, it‟s dangerous all right!” Rainbow Dash pats a free space on the side of her bed,
telling you to sit down next to her. “This one time, my friends and I came across a
Manticore, and lemme tell ya, it was angry! So, my pal Rarity…”
Before you know it, you‟re sharing personal stories and memories with Rainbow
Dash as she enthusiastically recounts the strange and hazardous encounters she and her
friends had come across, from kicking a dragon in the face to taking on the dreaded
Nightmare Moon herself! Whether or not she was over-emphasizing some of these dangers,
you couldn‟t tell - you weren‟t even there for most of them, after all.
Being so enthralled by her presence, her attitude, her laid-back, cheery voice, you
hardly notice the light from outside the window slowly grow dark as you both talk and
laugh throughout the evening, and into the night.
“…beat a cockatrice in a staring contest! A cockatrice !”

Rainbow Dash laughs, thinking back, “Of course, I wasn‟t there to see it myself, but
the look on little Scoot‟s face when she was telling me all about it? Never saw her so
terrified and excited all at once, I wish I could„ve taken a picture!”
“Heheh, yeah, I can only imagine!” you grin, before a serious thought slipped into
your head, “So, Dash, how many more of these crazy adventures do you think you„re
gonna have?”
“I dunno,” she places her fore-hooves behind her head and looks upward in a
thoughtful expr ession, “I‟ll just take things as they come, I guess.”
Just take things as they come? Is she joking?
“I‟m just wondering, cause all of these things you do with your friends… what with
dragons and hydras and bears made from stars…” you can feel Rainbow Dash‟s eyes
burning as they stare at you, “…it all just seems kind of… dangerous.” Deep down, you
were surprised you were able to get that last word out.
Side-glancing towards Dash, your blood freezes when you see the mildly irritated,
unimpressed expression on her face.
“I get it now, rookie.” she says flatly, “I see what this is about. You‟re obviously
worried that one day I‟m gonna fly right into a giant monster‟s mouth, or forget I have
wings when jumping off a cloud, or do something stupid that involves an early retirement
from the living. I„ve already told you, I know what I„m doing when it comes to flying, even
more than you do! I don„t need somepony to hold my hoof every time a Manticore gets a
thorn in its paw!”

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/a-collection-of-short-stories-volume-4 98/106
Her eyebrows are furrowed in a sense of impatience as she gets this off her chest.
“But Dash, maybe being a whiz at flying isn‟t gonna get you out of every problem!”
you reason, trying your best to disregard the vein that suddenly appeared on her forehead,
“You know I wouldn‟t be saying this if I didn‟t care-”
“And what if I don’t want you to care? Did ya think of that, huh?”
Something inside your chest shatters without warning as she snaps those words at
you, causing you to visibly double-take. You suddenly feel a bad-tasting chill stick in your
throat, before numbly resting in the pit of your stomach. No amount of energy could get you
to so much as move your facial muscles, let alone speak.
“What if I don‟t want to spend the rest of my days kicking clouds so some ponies
don‟t have to complain about the weather? What if I actually want to do stupid, risky things
like the Wonderbolts? And what if I don‟t want somepony to breathe down my neck every
time something… goes… wrong?” her rant trails off when she notices your unmoving,
unchanged expression. Well, mostly unchanged, except…
“R - rookie? Are your eyes watering again? Why are they-” her eyes abruptly widen
as it dawns on her.
“Oh. Oh my gosh.”

An awkward silence falls over the room like a cold, heavy blanket. It goes on for
seconds. Long, painful seconds. You‟d talk if you could, but whatever emotion, whatever
ailment that struck you still has your vocal chords strangled.
“You‟re not worried about me „cause you think I can‟t handle it.” Rainbow Dash‟s
voice had never felt so sensitive as she spoke, “You‟re worried because you like me, don‟t
you? Uh, not just like me, but… like me - like me. Am I right?”
Any attempts for you to talk are cut short by your barren throat. If only you could
tell her! If only there was some way around this…
“You do like me, don‟t you? Don’t you!? Just tell me, rookie! Talk to me!” Of all the
things she could have asked you to do - hold me, stroke my mane, take a lightning bolt for me - she asks you to do the one thing you can‟t. Talk.
Seeing no other way forward, you let her know the answer the only other way you
know how. And no words in the world would be able to say it better.
You throw your fore-hooves around Rainbow Dash, embracing her as tightly as you
can, and pushing your mouth right up against hers. Her lips part in a short and sudden gasp
of surprise, giving way to the subtle aroma of wild fruits and berries, as wild as Rainbow
Dash herself. But you don‟t risk pressing any further than her lips. Instead, your wings
gently unfurl, wrapping around her like a feathered cocoon, demonstrating how much you
care. How much you like her. How much you… like her - like her.
Slowly, you pry your lips away from hers to look into her strong rose coloured eyes.
She stares back, mouth still agape in awe of your unanticipated affection. After pulling
several lost, quizzical expressions, she decides what would be the most appropriate response
to being kissed on the lips like that.

SMACK!
Her right fore-hoof whips through the air with almost no warning and strikes you
across your face. The sheer force of it knocks you backward, making you land back-first on
her bed. You can feel your left cheek burn red as a hoof-shaped mark blooms upon it.
“Argh! Uh? Wha-?”
“That’s for stealing a kiss from me without asking!” Rainbow Dash asserts with a
scowl, before climbing onto the bed, clambering over you. She stops when she is lying
directly on top of you, a hoof placed at each side of your head, her face inches away from
yours. Her scowl changes in the blink of an eye to a devious smirk as you share the same
breath.
“And this is me stealing it right back.”
Without a moment‟s hesitation, the small gap between your faces closes, and her lips
meet with yours again. A tremor of arousal runs down your spine as her tongue sneaks
between your lips, and starts exploring the insides of your mouth. Your own tongue rises to
wrestle with this new intruder, and although your eyes are tightly shut, you feel Dash‟s body
shiver with excitement, stifling a giggle.
Before you know it, you‟re pushing against her kiss with one of your own, your
tongues pushing and sliding and slithering against each other with such enthusiasm, such
energy, that it‟s like a fight where only mouths were allowed. In fact, that‟s probably what it
was.

Finally pushing her far enough to roll her onto her back, you become the one to
climb on top of her instead, without breaking contact from the heated, competitive and
overwhelming exchange of saliva raging between you both. With yourself on top, you pin
her down to the bed with your hooves, verifying your status as the winner. Whatever this
game‟s called, you don‟t know. Honestly, you don‟t care.
But Rainbow Dash wasn‟t ready to accept defeat yet - little did you know she had her
eyes on your twitching, erect wings as they spread outwards across the room. Wrapping her
fore-hooves around you, she pulls you closer to her, then loosens her grip on you slightly.
Pulls you closer, then loosens her grip, purposefully brushing your hips against hers every
time in a slow, steady rhythm, breathing heavily as her body tenses.
Just as she expected, your wings were no longer the only parts of you that were stiff.
You habitually continue the gentle rise and fall pattern, each small, suggestive bump
sending a hot, throbbing feeling throughout your body. You feel Dash‟s fore-hooves stroke
the sides of your hips, working their way to your back, then caressing the ridge between
your wings. A single bead of sweat rolls down your face as her hooves rub the base of each
wing, sliding back and forth between each covert, causing every feather to shudder as you
edge closer and closer to a wing-climax.
Trying desperately to keep your cool as she tantalizingly teases the tips of each wing,
you gasp in an exhilarating rush of arousal, almost inhaling her tongue that was still keenly
competing with your own. It was at that moment when she chose to strike - in your brief
moment of weakness, shuddering from your wing-orgasm, she drives her fore-hooves into
your chest, pushing you backwards. Before you even know what‟s happening, Rainbow
Dash is the one lying on top of you once again, your mouths braking contact, her face once
again inches away from yours.

“And now, rookie…” she smirks, sliding her hoof down your chest, past your
stomach, and lower still, before placing a warm, firm grip on your solid, rampant- oh lord
she‘s holding it! “I‟m gonna show you some moves nopony‟s ever seen me do before.”
With your… private possession grasped securely in Rainbow Dash‟s fore-hoof, you
try to take your mind off your escalating desire to reach the point of no return. You look
into her deep, reddish-purple eyes, half-closed in a hungry, seductive expression as she
slowly lowers her hips toward your own.
Carefully, she manipulates your pulsating, volatile manhood, directing it upwards,
towards the area between her steadily lowering hips…
Your nerves suddenly go wild as your tip suddenly starts to feel warm. Warm and
moist. Rainbow Dash takes a deep, shaky breath as she lowers herself onto it, finally letting
a short, sharp moan escape from her lips. The sensation, the sound of her arousal, the reality
of being… inside Dash was almost too much to take. But not yet. Not before she does first.
Sweat drips down your forehead as you keep a steady control over your nerves, a
task that‟s getting harder and harder to do now that Dash is pushing herself against you,
over and over again, gradually getting faster and faster, stimulating your groin with every
bump she makes.

As the incredible, passionate night drifts on, you can‟t help but notice Rainbow Dash
putting her athleticism and endurance to the test, keeping up the fast, fiery pace, her body
fighting through fatigue as sweat rolls down her sleek, gorgeous frame. All the while, you
focus your mental energy into denying your hard, throbbing rod the pleasure of discharging
as you feel it getting hotter and smoother.
Dash‟s laboured moans wash over your ears - moans of someone so close to
climaxing, yet so far. Gradually, her thrusting begins to slow down out of sheer exhaustion,
as warm sweat drips off her body and onto yours. She begins to buckle under stress, and her
moans become fraught panting. But she can‟t give up now! She‟s so close and you„re…
you‟re… rrugh!
Snarling like the sexually ravenous stallion you are, you seize Rainbow Dash by her
shoulders and fling her onto the bed, rolling her over until you take her place as the one on
top. Without skipping a beat, you begin pounding her at full force, ignoring the aching,
begging plea for release from your groin. The sudden change took Dash by surprise, her
body going into short spasms from each powerful thrust, her shrill yelps of pleasure rising
higher and higher in pitch as she flails around desperately for something to hold on to.
Something to brace herself with as her climax draws closer and closer…
You burn with yearning as you feel your inner fluids race towards your tip, building
up, screaming, trying to surge through in an orgasmic fit. In one last adrenaline-fuelled
attempt, you pound harder and faster than ever before, your last shot before succumbing to
your organ‟s demands. In an instant, every muscle in Dash‟s agile, toned body tenses under
you, her satisfying cries accompanied by her convulsions.
Your body can„t stand up to much more than that; a concentrated gush of relief runs
through you like electricity as you finally burst, the ecstatic, moan-inducing thrill making
you shiver from each spurt flowing out of you.
Feeling drained and light-headed, you collapse onto the bed next to your satisfied
partner, her chest rising and falling as she catches her breath. It takes almost a full minute
for her to even talk;

“Th… those… were some pretty awesome moves.”
“I think…” panting, grinning, you turn to face her, “…we‟d get disqualified if we did
that in a competition.”
You can‟t tell how long you lie there with Rainbow Dash, her forelegs gently
hugging your neck, every once in a while pressing your lips against hers in short, sleepy
kisses, sharing each other‟s steady breathing. Every inch of both you and her is damp with
sweat, though your waist-areas are sticky with… various other fluids. Her prism-shaded
mane is tangled from the rough, lustful performance from before, her eyes lightly closed in
tiredness.
“Hey, rookie,” she mumbles, “you still awake?”
You were about to say something about calling you by your real name, but deep
down you knew she found the name „rookie‟ cute. Instead, you stroke her dishevelled mane
with one of your hoofs, letting her know you‟re listening.
“Can we talk about before? You know, about you… liking me?”
A lump begins to form in your throat again. “Yeah? What„s wrong?”
“You know I‟m not going to stop, don‟t you?”
“I… don‟t get it, Dash. Not going to stop?”

“I‟m still gonna be helping my friends.” she sighs, “That‟s what I mean. Still gonna
be putting myself in stupid situations for them. It‟s just what I do.”
She opens her eyes ever so slightly, and stares into yours, “I know you don‟t want
me to, but this time next week I could be, I dunno, out-running an ogre or kicking a
minotaur in the shins for the sake of helping my friends. Maybe I‟m just that loyal to them.
But I wanna be loyal to you as well!” she adds quickly, “And if I‟m stuck with a choice
between staying with you and helping them I wouldn‟t know what to d-”
“Shh...” you raise your hoof to her lips, cutting her off. “It‟s okay, Rainbow. You
don‟t have to make that choice. I don‟t mind if you do that sort of stuff, really I don„t!”
“Y- you mean it?”
“Well… on one condition.”
“Name it, rookie.”
You ponder for a brief moment whether you should ask her of this or not, weighing
up the pros and cons, before concluding, without a doubt, that it would be worth every
second. For her.
Leaning forward, you whisper your request in her ear. Her eyes light up as you tell
her, a smile breaking on her face.
“There„s no way I„m gonna refuse that! Shake on it?” with a hint of effort, she sits
herself upright on the bed. She then spits on her hoof, and offers it in your direction, to
confirm the agreement.
“Hey Dash, that‟s not how I make spit-deals…”
With that, you grab her extended fore-hoof and pull it toward you, causing her to fall
forward. The moment she was close enough, you lean in and steal another kiss from her
mouth without permission. Heck, she wanted to seal the deal with saliva, she didn‟t say you
couldn‟t use tongues!

Over the years following that perfect night, Dash had many adventures. Zany, risky
exploits with her friends. But that one condition you asked of her was upheld; whenever
these adventures were too perilous, and Rainbow Dash was expected to get into something
stupid and dangerous, you would be right there beside her.
Now you could both take on the stupid and the dangerous. Together. And neither of
you would have it any other way.
