For a DIY-style day with a little less work, think about getting things off the ground with ready-to-go accessories. Choose some core pieces you love (like our flower girl baskets and ring bearer pillows), and then hand-make the supporting accessories. Headband: Satin headband, assorted ribbon, silk flower, jewel from hairpin.

Turn any seat at the reception into a lovely place to land with a trailing this-and-that bouquet, wired to the chair back. For our look, we layered tulle ribbon, sweet floral garlands, and lengths of pretty wedding ribbon. Then we topped the arrangement with sections of berry-dotted greenery garland and fluffy, oversized peonies.

It’s the day you’ve been dreaming about since you were a little girl. You wanted a white dress, a diamond ring, and a wedding with all the trimmings—and now you’re making it happen on your own terms: handmade, heartfelt, and just…gorgeous. Tip: The pennant banners are sold assembled and ready to decorate.

Here’s a pretty thought: when you wrap the gifts for your attendants, add some touches that tie them to your décor. We’re thinking burlap ribbon, bits of pearl-edged lace, and subtle coordinating flowers.

If you can’t find store-bought accessories that make your heart sing, try making them at home—it doesn’t have to be complicated. To create these pretties, for example, we embellished white satin headbands with lace, faux flowers and a handful of shiny baubles. Tip: The jewels were taken from bridal hairpins.

Give your guests a pretty send-off withkeepsake-worthy favor bags made fromunadorned burlap pouches. We created an appliqué for our look. And we paired it with a jewel from a bridal hairpin. All the elements were glued into place. Heart: cut from lace ribbon and edged with pearl trim.

We gave the wedding cake some sugar with help from aready-to-go cake topper. Here’s what we added: a circle ofburlap and a sparkly wedding brooch, both glued into place.
