“VOSI” technology Hitachi is proud of.

Since MRI is composed of many sub-systems, optimum integration is the key point for high image quality. Field strength is merely an element.

Advantageous points with VOSI technology are….(when compared with horizontal-field) 1.  High sensitivity due to solenoid QD coil S/N : + 30% (Approx.) 2.  Low noise amplifier (lower frequency, higher advantage) S/N : + 20% (Approx.) 3.  Narrow band receiving circuit (with less chemical shift) S/N : + 20% (Approx.) 4.  In addition, use of tight receiving coil improved filling factor (filling rate) largely, and realized further high sensitivity. As result of all above, receiving sensitivity of vertical magnetic field system is,

1.3 x 1.2 x 1.2 1.9≒This is approx.1.9 times higher than that of horizontal magnetic field system.Therefore, with APERTO

0.4(T) x 1.9 = 0.76

Image quality better than that of 0.76T can be obtained.
