When did it start? Where did it begin? How did it come into being? Well, let’s start “in the beginning.” God created light and separated it from the darkness. He then created land apart from the water. He then made the earth fertile so that living things could grow. Then the oceans, lakes and rivers were made to crawl with reptiles and filled with fish. The lands He filled with weeds, bushes, and great trees. The air and the sky God filled and on the ground wondrous animals and creatures of all sorts and varieties.
And then God made the likes of you and me – first Adam and then Eve. Both were made stewards. His son and daughter to care for creation, over creation, utilize creation for the health and well-being of humanity from generation to generation. His son and daughter were the first to be married by His love to be fruitful, productive, and give life – and love - to children. Give happiness and joy; give your love and your life to each other and to all.
Give my life within you to your children and your children’s children forever and ever.
Where is the Kingdom of God? On earth as it is in heaven, in us… as it is in God. It is our human life, the sacred space in which lives the Holy Spirit. If that’s not true then the Incarnation, God becoming man, is meaningless. The Kingdom is found where God established it, in our human relationships with each other. Whenever we pray the Lord’s Prayer, “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done ON EARTH….,”
we recognize His desire and will for us to be filled with His joy, His peace, His love, and His life. The Kingdom of God here on earth is human life, high quality human life, filled with His glory.
And so, Jesus cried: “Stop being deaf! That’s no good. Listen!” “Stop being blind! See!” “Stop being crippled. Walk and Come.” “Stop being mute. Speak!”
And when He met the bleeding woman He said, “Stop bleeding. Give God a child!” When He met the widow of Nain holding her dead son, in her arms…when He encountered the dead daughter of Jairus, and when He wept at the tomb of Lazarus, Jesus cried out: “Come forth! Live!” God’s Word, the same Word that He shouted into the black chaos of the cosmos… in the beginning…. went from His mouth and brought life, life in its fullness, life complete in His glory.
Jesus gives life; He restores life; He repairs life; He affirms life. He lives among the broken, the prostitutes, adulterers, widows, and the aged… among orphans, street people, crooks,
vagrants, and the outcast. He freed Zacchaeus – a short mean man – from his greed and transformed Zacchaeus into an insanely generous son. Jesus detests injustice and unfairness, He doesn’t desire our sickness, deformity and
disease; Jesus detests violence and oppression. When the Prince of Darkness and father of Lies tried to conquer Him, Jesus stood silently on the ground of His Father’s Kingdom. He did this because He lives for humanity, His heart and will are One with the Father. Are we members of the kingdom? Do our choices, attitudes and decisions, contribute to the well-being of others? Do we give them life? Do we drain life from others? Are you like Zacchaeus before he met Jesus? Are you like Zacchaeus after his encounter with Jesus?
¿Qué es el Reino de Dios?
¿Cuándo empezó? ¿Dónde empezó? ¿Cómo surgió? Bueno, comencemos "en el principio". Dios creó la luz y la separó de la oscuridad. Después
creó tierra aparte del agua. Después hizo la tierra fértil para que los seres vivos pudieran crecer. Después los océanos, los lagos y los ríos fueron hechos para que los reptiles se
arrastraran y se llenaran con los pescados. La tierra la lleno de hierbas, arbustos y grandes árboles. El aire y el cielo Dios lo llenó y sobre el terreno maravillosos animales y criaturas de
todo tipo y variedad.
Y después Dios creo a los seres como tú y yo - primero Adán y después Eva. Ambos fueron
nombrados administradores. Su hijo e hija para cuidar la creación, sobre la creación, utilizar la creación para la salud y el bienestar de la humanidad de generación en generación. Su hijo e hija fueron los primeros en casarse por Su amor para ser fructíferos, productivos, y
dar vida - y amor - a los niños. Dar felicidad y alegría; Dar su amor y su vida el uno al otro y a todos. Dar la vida dentro de nosotros a nuestros hijos y a los hijos de sus hijos por los
siglos de los siglos.
¿Dónde está el Reino de Dios? En la tierra como en el cielo, en nosotros ... como en Dios. Es
nuestra vida humana, el espacio sagrado en el que vive el Espíritu Santo. Si eso no es cierto entonces la Encarnación, Dios hecho hombre, carece de sentido. El Reino se encuentra
donde Dios lo estableció, en nuestras relaciones humanas entre sí.
Cada vez que rezamos la Oración del Señor, "Venga tu Reino, hágase Tu voluntad EN LA TIERRA ...", reconocemos Su deseo y voluntad de llenarnos de Su gozo, Su paz, Su amor y
Su vida. El Reino de Dios aquí en la tierra es la vida humana, la vida humana de alta
calidad, llena de Su gloria.
Y por eso Jesús clamó: "¡Deja de ser sordo! Eso no es bueno. ¡Escucha! "" ¡Deja de ser
ciego! ¡Ve! "" Deja de ser lisiado. Camina y Ven. "" Deja de ser mudo. ¡Habla!"
Y cuando se encontró con la mujer hemorroisa, dijo: "Deja de sangrar. ¡Dale a Dios un hijo! "Cuando se encontró con la viuda de Nain sosteniendo a su hijo muerto, en sus brazos ... cuando se encontró con la hija muerta de Jairo, y cuando lloró en el sepulcro de Lázaro, Jesús exclamó: ¡ven fuera, Vive! "La Palabra de Dios, la misma Palabra que Él gritó en el
caos negro del cosmos ... en el principio .... Salió de su boca y trajo la vida, la vida en su plenitud, la vida completa en su gloria.
Jesús da vida; Restaura la vida; Él repara la vida; Afirma la vida. Vive entre los quebrantados, las prostitutas, los adúlteros, las viudas y los ancianos ... entre huérfanos,
callejeros, ladrones, vagabundos y marginados. Libertó a Zaqueo - un hombre de baja
estatura y desconsiderado - de su codicia y transformó a Zaqueo en un hijo insensatamente generoso.
Jesús detesta la injusticia y la desigualdad, no desea nuestra enfermedad, deformidad y
enfermedad; Jesús detesta la violencia y la opresión. Cuando el Príncipe de la Oscuridad y el padre de las Mentiras trataron de vencerlo, Jesús permaneció en silencio sobre el suelo del Reino de Su Padre. Él hizo esto porque Él vive para la humanidad, Su corazón y su voluntad
son Uno con el Padre.
¿Somos miembros del Reino? ¿Nuestras elecciones, actitudes y decisiones contribuyen al bienestar de los demás? ¿Les damos vida? ¿Drenamos la vida de los demás? ¿Eres como
Zaqueo antes de conocer a Jesús? ¿Es usted como Zaqueo después de su encuentro con Jesús?
