By visiting the Building Fair IBF and the Furniture and Interior Design Fair MOBITEX, the vis-itors got an overview of new technologies, building materials and current trends in interior fur-nishing.
The visitors could use free-of charge professional consulting centres and being guided by independent experts in free–of-charge field-specific con-sulting centres they could build their flat or house.
People interested in timber-frame construction visiting DSB – Tim-ber and Construction received truly comprehensive information about this field of construction. Inspiration with ready-to-move-in timber-frame homes was provid-ed by the Building Centre EDEN where the Timber-Frame House Day was held.

NEW GREEN SAVINGS PROGRAMME AND INDENDEPENT PROFESSIONAL CONSULTING SERVICES
The exhibitor’s offer was supple-mented by a specialist supporting programme which was dedicated to topics such as restoration of historic and religious buildings, energy-saving construction and current grant schemes. The Min-istry of Environment and State Environmental Fund of the CR presented the New Green Sav-ings Programme and current pos-sibilities of obtaining assistance from the Operational Programme Environment.
The fair also offered the sought-af-ter professional consulting cen-tres for all sectors of the building industry, wood treatment and in-terior furnishing.
The newcomer in the offer pro-vided by the consulting centres was the project „How to choose a suitable light bulb”, where the visitors obtained information the choice of suitable lighting fixtures and they could also try and com-pare them in practice. The pro-ject partners were ABB, OSRAM Česká republika, Pražská ener-getika and Studio Jasyko.
An area covering over 1,500 square meters offered the visi-tors inspiration and good advice for their gardens. There were also attractive examples of var-ious plants and woody plants combined with garden architec-ture, timber-frame structures and accessories and garden furniture. The garden presentation also of-fered a consulting centre offering advice on garden foundations and care. This year, the offer was expanded by tools for handymen and gardeners.
Two interesting exhibitions took place a part of the MOBITEX fair- ”Anonymous“ bent wood furniture and Czech Furniture 2005–2015 – Between tradition and innovation.

Pavel Křeček, ČKAIT Chairman There is slight optimism felt in the building industry after many years, I am very happy to see that this situation has been reflected in this year’s edition of the Building Fair IBF. The Building Fair in Brno is a venue where firms introduced their new launches, technical and technological improvements. It was the same this year. I believe that the year 2015 will become a turning point for the better.

This year again there was a number of visitors coming, we held a lot of business meetings, the company was satisfied, the visit rate was very good. This year we have entered into close cooperation with BVV and other entities and it helped us provide for our visitors a special exhibition – a little house with an interesting lighting solution.

We won a number of end customers mainly those who are building their homes and want to find a solution to lighting. The firm can tailor-make and design the location of the lighting fixtures. We always try to come to present innovations, this year we offered a modern solution for terrace house construction. The fair was financially success-ful and we also meet our partners here and organise meetings with our sales reps.

This year, our products were in high demand, the fair is most beneficial for us. We were visited by a number of companies, potential vendors, as well as end consumers who we also provide services to.
Katarína Gyóreová, FERMACELLWe like being at the DSB fair, last year we made a survey and we found out that the Building Fair pa-rameters suit us. For us it has always been popular. This year’s edition is beneficial for the company. We established new contacts and we could also motivate our customers to use our consulting services and we introduced technologies replacing traditional plasterboard.

We are satisfied, there is growing interest in construction, every day we were visited by a number of potential customers who went through the model house in detail. I am glad to see that people came to our stand with a clear aim in mind and they knew what they wanted. We also established a number of new con-tacts and we are going to discuss these new projects with the design engineers right on site.

This year has brought us new contacts again and it seems that once we make an evaluation we will be content again. We were visited by our partners – repre-sentatives of construction companies. We agreed on a number of business meetings before the fair both with Czech and Slovak customers. We are simply successful in Brno.

Jaroslav Frantál, Böhm – český nábytek We cannot go missing at the Brno fair as we are not only visited by new clients but also revisited by old customers. We also invite our partners, the exhibition centre is a great venue for business meetings. We have presented ourselves at the MOBITEX for twenty years non stop. We were successful again this year; Out of forty nominations we received the Grand Prix first prize for progressive material. This is a nice award for the company enhancing our image, we appreciate that.
Tomáš Jelínek, JELÍNEK – výroba nábytku We take part in the MOBITEX fair, we are a traditional exhibitor. We always establish a number of new contacts here. This year we received a number of orders right for the products on display. We invite our customers to the fair as they like being able to touch the furniture before buying it, choose the material and get all information.
René Cígler, Kuchyňské studio Schmidt We were visited by a host of people coming from Brno and its surroundings as well as from the rest of the country. We are a steady exhibitor and it has never happened that this event did not pay off finan-cially. Therefore we will keep coming back every year, we are always satisfied here. In my view, this edition was better than last year in this respect.

We like Brno, the fair is a success for us and therefore we keep expanding our stand from 20 square meters up to the current 120 metes of exhibition space. Financially, this system pays off as people can view and touch the goods on display. We were satisfied again this year, we used the expanded exhibition space to present all our types of beds from rubber beds to spring-type beds.
Michal Jakubec, Studio JasykoThis year, the MOBITEX fair looked comprehensive, the hall was cramped with visitors. We are a tradi-tional exhibitor and next year we will definitely show new launches. Almost all companies agree that there is no need for a huge number of visitors but we need those who know what they want and who like coming back to Brno. This was also proved by this year’s edition. People come to the fair to meet the representatives of firms, to touch things and get advice. This is what the fair is irreplaceable in.
