Brake pressure must belimited by referring to the tripleindicator to avoid wheellocking.

Differential braking remainsavailable via the pedals.

    Antiskid is deactivated.

    Nosewheel steering is lost.

Landing Gear LeverProvides electrical signals to the two LGCIUs

which control the green hydraulic supply. UP - Retracts landing gear. When the

gear doors open, the main wheels areautomatically braked by the normalbrake system. The nose wheel arestopped by a brake band in the gearwell during door closure. When thelever is UP, the hydraulic supply isautomatically cut off above 260 KIAS

DOWN - Extends the landing gear. The system remains pressurized ifgreen hydraulic pressure is available. An interlock mechanism prevents

unsafe retraction by locking the lever

in the DOWN position when any gearshock absorber is compressed or thenosewheel steering is not centered.

DOWN ArrowIlluminates red associated with ECAM "GEARNOT DOWN" warning if the landing gear is notdownlocked with any one of the following:

Radio altitude less than 750 feet andboth engine's N1 below 75%.

Radio altitude less than 750 feet andFlaps 3 or FULL selected.
