From the Woodland Snowman Blocks - Multi (A), fussy cut:• (6) 10 ½” blocks.

From the Lacey Snowflakes - Red (B), cut:• (1) 6 ½” x WOF strip. Sub-cut (4) 6 ½” squares.• (3) 2” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (12) 2” x 10 ½” strips.• (4) 2” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (12) 2” x 13 ½” strips.

From the Lacey Snowflakes - Gray (C), cut:• (3) 3 ⅞” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (24) 3 ⅞” squares. Cut the squares across (1) diagonal to make (48) triangles.• (2) 3 ½” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (24) 3 ½” squares.

From the Lacey Snowflakes - Lt. Blue (D), cut:• (2) 3 ⅞” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (12) 3 ⅞” squares.

From the Cardinals - Blue (E), cut:• (1) 6 ½” x WOF strip. Sub-cut (2) 6 ½” squares.

From the Berries - Red (F), cut:• (2) 4 ¼” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (12) 4 ¼” squares. Cut the squares across both diagonals to make (48) triangles.• (6) 2 ½” x WOF strips for the binding.

From the Modern Melody Basics - Pigment White (G), cut:• (2) 4 ¼” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (12) 4 ¼” squares. Cut the squares across both diagonals to make (48) triangles.• (2) 3 ⅞” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (12) 3 ⅞” squares.

From the Joyful Banner Allover - Blue (H), cut:• (1) 6 ½” x WOF strip. Sub-cut (2) 6 ½” squares.

From the Winter Scene - Blue (I), cut:• (1) 6 ½” x WOF strip. Sub-cut (2) 6 ½” squares.

From the Birch Texture - Lt. Gray (J), cut:• (2) 2” x 48 ½” Length of Fabric (LOF) strips.• (2) 2” x 39 ½” LOF strips.

From the Winter Birdhouses - Blue (K), cut:• (2) 6 ½” x 51 ½” LOF strips.• (2) 6 ½” x 39 ½” WOF strips from the remaining fabric, piece as needed.

From the Packed Animals - Multi (Backing), cut:• (2) 71” x WOF strips for the backing. Sew the strips together and trim to make the 59” x 71” back.

Sewing Instructions1. Sew (1) 2” x 10 ½” Fabric B strip to each side of (1) 10 ½” Fabric A block. Sew (1) 2” x 13 ½” Fabric B strip to the top and to the bottom of the Fabric A block. Trim the block to measure 12 ½” square to make (1) Unit 1 block (Fig. 1). Repeat to make (6) Unit 1 blocks total.

2. Place (1) 3 ½” Fabric C square on the top left corner of (1) Unit 1 block, right sides together (Fig. 2). Sew across the diagonal of the small square from the upper right corner to the lower left corner (Fig. 2). Flip open the triangle formed and press (Fig. 3). Trim away the excess fabric from behind the triangle ¼” away from the sewn seam.

Quilt Top Assembly (Refer to the Quilt Layout while assembling.)13. Sew (1) Block One square to each side of (1) Block Two square to make Row One. Repeat to make Row Three.

14. Sew (1) Block Three square, (1) Block One square and (1) Block Four square together, in that order, to make Row Two.

15. Sew (1) Block Four square, (1) Block One square and (1) Block Three square together, in that order, to make Row Four.

16. Sew the (4) rows together in numerical order to make the Center Block.

3. Follow Figure 4 for the seam direction to add a 3 ½” Fabric C square to each of the remaining corners of the Unit 1 block to make (1) Block One square.

4. Repeat Steps 2-3 to make (6) Block One squares total.

5. Place (1) 3 ⅞” Fabric G square on top of (1) 3 ⅞” Fabric D square, right sides together. Draw a line across the diagonal of the top square (Fig. 5). Sew ¼” away from each side of the drawn diagonal line (Fig. 5). Cut the (2) squares apart on the drawn diagonal line (Fig. 6) to make (2) half-square triangles. Trim the blocks to measure 3 ½” square to make (2) Unit 2 blocks (Fig. 7). Repeat to make (24) Unit 2 blocks total.

6. Sew (1) Fabric C triangle, (1) Fabric G triangle and (1) Fabric F triangle together to make (1) Unit 3 block (Fig. 8). Repeat to make (24) Unit 3 blocks total.

7. Sew (1) Fabric F triangle, (1) Fabric G triangle and (1) Fabric C triangle together to make (1) Unit 4 block (Fig. 9). Repeat to make (24) Unit 4 blocks total.

8. Sew (1) Unit 3 block to the left side of (1) Unit 4 block along the Fabric F sides to make (1) Side Strip. Repeat to make (24) Side Strips total.

9. Sew (1) Unit 2 block to each end of (1) Side Strip to make (1) Top/Bottom Strip. Repeat to make (12) Top/Bottom Strips total.

10. Sew (1) Side Strip to each side of (1) 6 ½” Fabric E square. Sew (1) Top/Bottom Strip to the top and to the bottom of the Fabric E square to make (1) Block Two square (Fig. 10). Repeat to make a second Block Two square.

11. Sew (1) Side Strip to each side of (1) 6 ½” Fabric H square. Sew (1) Top/Bottom Strip to the top and to the bottom of the Fabric H square to make (1) Block Three square (Fig. 11). Repeat to make a second Block Three square.

12. Sew (1) Side Strip to each side of (1) 6 ½” Fabric I square. Sew (1) Top/Bottom Strip to the top and to the bottom of the Fabric I square to make (1) Block Four square (Fig. 12). Repeat to make a second Block Four square.

17. Sew (1) 2” x 48 ½” Fabric J strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 2” x 39 ½” Fabric J strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block.

18. Sew (1) 6 ½” x 51 ½” Fabric K strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 6 ½” Fabric B square to each end of (1) 6 ½” x 39 ½” Fabric K strip. Repeat to make a second strip. Sew the strips to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block to make the quilt top.

19. Layer and quilt as desired.

20. Sew the (6) 2 ½” x WOF Fabric F strips together, end to end with 45-degree seams, to make the binding. Fold this long strip in half lengthwise with wrong sides together and press.

21. Bind as desired.
