I Am A Liberian

I am a Liberian.

I am Thomas Eric Duncan. I am Alexander Koko Anderson.I am Nakita Diah Forh.

I am Shurina Wiah. I am Oscar Wiah. I am the lady who gave birth to her twins on the street.

I am Leo Fofana. I am Shaki Kamara. I am Anita Sackie. I am Boo Brewer.

I am the sick looking for healing even though I do not have Ebola. I am all those victimized by the health

system due to this deadly virus. I am ALL brave ones picking up dead bodies.

I am the poor and destitute. I am ALL the health workers risking their lives. I am the orphans.

Thousands Of Children Orphaned And Rejected

● Some 3,700 children in West Africa have lost one or both parents to Ebola and now face abandonment and stigma

● Fear of contagion means many orphans, even those who test negative, are being abandoned

● In response to delays to the school year, the Freetown government plans to broadcast classes on the radio

● Schools planned to reopen in early February 2015 (http://www.reuters.com -Jan 5th 2015)
