Land & Soil Erosion:-After SATHI initiatives under Land conservation i.e. construction of BrushWood Check Dam, Loose Bolder Check Dam and Gabion structures , soilloss and erosion have checked up to 104.903 ton.

Fodder :-After evading of open grazing in watershed area, there is significantimprovement in fodder availability i.e. 19.55 ton (2007), 48.53 ton ( 2008), 68.51ton (20009), 84.03 ton (2010) & 98.76 ton in 2011 (Market value of fodderproduction in 2011-Rs 2,37,032 ).

Watershed community is now able to meet their own domestic fodderconsumption and also sell surplus fodder. It was only possible due to NRMand avoiding open grazing. In 2011-12 villager earned about Rs. 22500 byselling surplus fodder.

Milk Production:-After availability of green fodder, milk production also increased from 250gram to 500 gram per cow/buffalo.

Impact of Watershed Model

Impact of Water Harvesting Interventions

Enhanced Water Storage Capacity:-After construction of various Rain Water harvesting structures i.e.Johdis, Ferro cement tanks, earthen dam, earthen dam, bawris etc, storage capacity of water have enhanced about 86,67,560 liters. Afteruse of these techniques about 800 liter of Water can be stored offrom 1 Sqm area in one year.

Irrigation Facilities:-Before SATHI intervention , about 52.50 Ha land was covered underirrigation facility only for 5-6 Month. After SATHI initiatives, duration of irrigation increased up to 10-11 months and about 12.5ha land becomes completely irrigated.

Crop Production:-S.No. Crop Before SATHI intervention After SATHI intervention

Rain Water Harvesting Interventions under WATSAN

Construction Of RWHTs With Proper Filter Media & Testing of Tanks By Technical Experts

Execution of Innovative Gravity Water Supply Schemes

Water Filtration Unit ( Roughening Filter) With Gate Valve Chambers

CAP Works ( Gabion Check Dams, Barbed Wire Fencing, Plantation Works etc) Near Water Sources

Impact On Water Accessibility after WATSAN

After SATHI interventions i.e. execution of Water Supply Schemes & construction of Roof-Top Rain Water Harvesting Tanks ) villages are now able to get Safe Drinking Water at theirdoorstep.

It have also reduced their drudgery (especially for women & school children's) and savetime for fetching water from far distant sources.

Villagers dependency on IPH Dept. for deployment of water tankers in lean period hasbeen reduced.
