1. Student selects default amount or can enter a specified amount.

2. Comments added will be considered when request is processed.

3. Student indicates what semester(s) they want loan consideration, and will uncheck the semesters they are NOT requesting.

4. Students review and submit their loan request.

Note: Only one request can be submitted at a time and processing time is 2 – 4 weeks. Peak times will require additional consideration.

Three standards of Academic Progress (SAP) that financial aid recipients must meet:

1. Completion Rate – successfully complete at least 67% of all attempted courses. Note: Transfer credits are considered as successful and repeated courses are only counted successful one time.

2. Cumulative GPA – based on total attempted Delta Credits (see Academic Status Scale below)

3. Program Length – must complete program of study within 150% of the published length of the program(credits transferred in are counted towards program length).

• New students are reviewed for SAP when their FAFSA is received, and returning students after gradespost each semester.

• Students not meeting SAP receive one semester on “Warning”, to improve their status. After warning semester, they will either be in good SAP or denied further aid.

• Students denied aid have an option to file an appeal. The appeal request form will appear in theRequired Documents of the checklist in Self-service.

• Students with an approved appeal move to one semester “Probation” status. Students must follow an academic plan approved by their Success Advisor and pass all classes with a C or better as conditions of their probation.

• After one semester on Probation, a student will either be in good standing, moved to “Academic Plan” status if successful with appeal conditions, or denied further aid.

Yellow: Warning semester, probation or academic plan, or unable to calculate due to ineligible program of study

SAP statuses are color coded to help identify current status

Green: Satisfactory, no issues

Red: Not eligible for aid. Refer to Required Documents if student wishes to file an appeal
