A Journey for Life

Baptisms/Bautismos : English or Spanish/Español Baptism Preparation Classes Contact Person: Rosio Contreras [email protected] 281-481-6816 Ext 231 Infant to 6 years (for older children see RCIA information below) - Instruction is required for the parents and godparents of the infant to be baptized. Parents must be registered and attending mass in this parish for at least three months. Parents must provide an original birth certificate of the child. Parish Boundary rules will be followed.
The classes are held every other month on a Saturday from 9:00am -3:30pm in the Cenacle Learning Center. The cost for the class is $10.00 per family. If attending the class as godparents (not attending with parents), there is a $10.00 fee. The Spanish classes are held every other month, 2 Fridays in the Education Building Room 5. Clases de Preparación para Bautismo Infantes-Niños de 6 años-La clase es requerida para los padres y padrinos para bautizar. Los padres tienen que ser registrados y asistir a la misa en esta parroguia durante al menos 3 meses. Los padres tienen que proveer la acta original de nacimiento del niño(a). Se aplicaran las normas del limite de la parroquia.
Las clases se llevan a cabo cada otro mes, dos viernes de 6:30p.m.- 9:00 p.m. en el salón 5 en el Edificio de Educacion. Las clases en inglés es un sabado de 9:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. en el Centro de Aprendizaje el Cenáculo. El costo de la clase es $10.00 por familia. Si los padrinos son los únicos que van a asistir a la clase el costo es $10.00.

Confirmation : Youth Confirmation Preparation Classes Contact Person: Matt Kiernan 281-481-6816 Ext 229 Youth Confirmation Preparation registration is open to baptized Catholics in their Sophomore or Junior year of High School who have received on going catechesis in their faith and demonstrate an openness in their relationship with God and their community of faith.

Candidates for adult confirmation should be actively participating in their faith and have received First Communion.

In the Catholic faith, marriage is considered a sacrament-sign made sacred by Christ to show His presence in the world and to help all people reach a closer union with God. This sacrament of marriage asks the couple to enter into a loving covenant with God and one another and to live faithfully as one forever.
RCIA/RICA: Rite of Christian Initiation - English or Spanish Preparation Classes Contact Person: Ray Hertel [email protected] 281-481-6816 Ext 236 The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults is the process by which people become members of the Catholic Church. This process includes community building, outreach, prayer, reflection time and education. Each component is important and is intended to prepare participants to discern God's call to commit themselves to the Catholic Christian life.
RCIA for Children: Rite of Christian Initiation Contact Person: Alma Cervantes [email protected] This process is for children who have not been baptized as infants and are seven years old, as well as children, and are seven years old or older who have been baptized in another faith tradition but need to make a profession of faith to complete the initiation process (receive Eucharist and Confirmation.) We facilitate family sessions about once a month that compliment the regular CCFF classes and sacramental preparation sessions and prepare the families for the RCIA rites.

Sacrament of Reconciliation & Eucharist
Penance/confession & Communion
Children and youth who are in 2nd grade and above,
have been baptized in the Catholic faith, are attending
mass weekly, and are attending their second consecutive
year in faith formation are eligible to participate with
their families in the preparation for the Sacraments of
Reconciliation and Eucharist.
The 1st sacrament preparation is separate from the
regular weekly formation sessions. To be prepared to
receive Eucharist, children and youth must first be
prepared for the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
There is parent meeting and registration scheduled for
September, please contact the Faith Formation office
281-481-4251 for further information and/or if your
child has been baptized in another religion.

How do I become a member of St. Luke? If you wish to become a member of the parish, registration forms can be found in the Welcome Center in the Narthex or you can call the Parish Office. Online registration coming soon!
How do I receive the Eucharist if I am homebound? Contact, or have someone contact, our parish office during the daytime and inform them of your circumstances and needs. A Eucharistic Minister can be assigned to bring you communion on a regular basis. Also, you may receive the sacrament of Anointing of the Sick from one of our priests.
