Reba is the daughter of Terri and Steve LeBlanc. She graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in 2009 with a major in environmental man- agement and protection. She owns her own event planning business, Lily White Events. Steven is the son of Theresa and David Andersen. He graduated from Dublin High School in 2003 and is a professional artist at Stay True Tattoo. The couple met at Cornerstone Church in 2010 and quickly fell in love. They enjoy traveling, wine tasting and growing in God’s word together. Local Engagement LeBlanc, Andersen to Wed Sun Staff Reports The Recreation and Parks Department is sponsoring the Everything Alameda Celebration at Lower Washington Park and Robert Crown Memorial State Beach from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 28. The celebration will feature live entertainment with on-stage per- formances by local youth and adult groups, including Wicked Lobstar. McGee’s Bar and Grill and Rockwall Winery are sponsoring beer and wine gardens. Local food vendors, various local businesses and non-profits will participate. The fun will include games and demon- strations featuring the East Bay Regional Park District, the O’Kalani Outrigger Canoe Club, the Alameda Fire and Police Department water units, the United States Coast Guard and BoardSports. The Shoots and Ladders Softball Game between members of the fire and police departments follow the celebration with the first pitch at 2 p.m. at Upper Washington Field. Rhythmix Cultural Works will be the host, opening its upstairs hall to Expo guests from 5:30 to 7 p.m. “Helping Businesses Do Business in Alameda” is both the subtitle and aim of the event, which will offer guests the opportunity to learn more about goods and services available to both those entrepreneurs look- ing to launch in Alameda and those who want to learn more about growing their existing businesses. Now, believe it or not, all those opinions can be more than mere cocktail party chat- ter. The City of Alameda has posted its Final Planning Documents online (http:// alamedaca.gov/alameda-point/ final-planning-documents), and is inviting, urging, and begging community members for their input. One way to make your voice heard is to participate in a survey seeking suggestions for naming the proposed develop- ment’s central business district surrounding the seaplane lagoon. Among the choices are “Alameda Point Town Center,” “FerryPoint Village” and “Seaplane Station.” The survey also always for write-in suggestions; let’s start a campaign to call it “GABAville.”

Department is sponsoring the Everything Alameda Celebration at Lower Washington Park and Robert Crown Memorial State Beach from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 28.
