The next step is to consider how you can combine and develop these ideas to produce a personal final outcome. This outcome counts as a quarter of the unit. Consider the following: What was your initial theme linked to the main topic of Identity? How have each of the artists you have studied and source material you have gathered linked to the theme? What are you trying to say? How are you going to say it in a piece of art? Do you need any more source material? Developing your Concept : Preparation for your Identity Final Piece

You have now looked at a range of artists, materials, techniques and ideas based on the theme of identity. The next step is to consider how you can combine and develop these ideas to produce a personal final outcome. This outcome counts as a quarter of the unit.

Consider the following:

What was your initial theme linked to the main topic of Identity?

How have each of the artists you have studied and source material you have gathered linked to the theme?

What are you trying to say? How are you going to say it in a piece of art?

Do you need any more source material?

Produce a double page in your sketchbook documenting your thought process. You should include images of the artists you have looked at, images of your own work, including source material, and annotations to explain your thought process.

Other Techniques developed in class:This is your showstopper – what other techniques can you try to add meaning to your work? (Mixed media, chalk and charcoal, monoprinting, etc…)
