In this rapidly changing world, with its ever-growing human population and shrinking wild spaces, it’s more important than ever that we know as much as possible about the creatures we share the planet with. You might be wondering why this is so vitally important. The answer is simple: many of the world’s species are threatened and need our help, but in order to protect something we first have to understand and care about it. Earth’s creatures can be found everywhere, both near and far. They live right outside in our gardens and streets, inhabit our parks, and fill our forests and waterways – and beyond. So go out and explore this hidden planet, choose your own favourite creatures and start drawing or writing your own love letter.
