Thoughts for the Journey

Why is this one verse so important? No other verse in the Bible so succinctly summarizes God's

relationship with humanity and the way of salvation. Some consider John 3:16 as the "theme verse" for the entire Bible. John 3:16 tells us of the love God has for us and the extent of that love—so great

that He sacrificed His only Son on our behalf. John 3:16 teaches us that anyone who believes in Jesus Christ, God's Son, will be saved.

John 3:16 gives us the glorious hope of eternal life in heaven through the love of God and death of Jesus Christ.

There is no more powerful way to deliver this message than to let John 3:16 speak for itself.

God is patient. Why? Well, because God is in control and He knows how the story ends. Because of Jesus’ sacrifice, we know how the story ends, too. Because of Jesus, WE CAN WAIT. We can trust that God is in control. We can have hope that things will work out in the end. And we can be patient because we know all that God has done.

Patience is a reflection of the character of God. Jesus is alive! God sent Jesus to rescue us from the consequences of our sin. This week, we want to be sure that every child leaves knowing how much God loves them and made a way for them to have a relationship with Him forever rather than become frustrated and angry toward God, she prays and tells Him all about it. When God answers her prayer, she gives her son back to God. He honored her waiting and blessed her with even more childrenInstead of obeying God and waiting for Moses to come down off the mountain, the entire nation of Israel grew impatient. They built a golden calf and began to worship it instead of worshiping God. Their lack of patience had some severe consequencesWhen you think you can’t wait, think about what’s true. It’s easier to wait when you remember all the times God has helped you before. You can trust Him, knowing that He’ll help you wait.

We have some BIG NEWS for you! Are you ready for it? JESUS. IS. ALIVE!

Okay, okay. You already know that, but for many of the preschoolers who will be celebrating Easter with us, this will not only be BIG NEWS, it will be NEW news as well!

We have the awesome privilege of telling preschoolers that Jesus is God’s Son, He is alive, and He wants to be their friend forever. It truly is BIG NEWS! We will hear the wonderful story of how Jesus lived, died, and came back, just like He promised. We want every preschooler to remember the big news that Jesus is alive and He wants to be their friend forever We need to get ready to tell the BIG NEWS that Jesus is alive and He wants to be our friend forever! Imagine preschoolers running around telling the BIG NEWS that Jesus is alive—now THAT would be awesome.

2018 Women’s MinistryHello Beautiful Ladies,

As you all know I’ve had a little set back. If you could please fill out a Secret Sister paper and return it to the office that would be great. It is a great way to get to know someone new. It is not always about gifts. Just a card to say hello, I’m thinking of you or praying for you or remembering your birthday always makes someone feel better. This keeps them guessing until the end of the year. Then we find out who they are. Also, I am looking for help with ideas for what our ministry could do for fun. I also need help with ideas for the Mother Daughter Banquet.
