"It is in his pleasure that a

man really lives; it is from

his leisure that he

constructs the true fabric

of self."

~Agnes Repplier

This pandemic has hit the world hard. The term 'lockdown' has become aninseparable part of our lives now. It is that phase no human in this world canever forget. Who thought the 21 days “Stay at Home " will turn into a difficultand tedious journey of so many months each having their own share of fears, anxieties, boredom and inconvenience. Nevertheless; as everyone says life mustgo on and so did everyone find their own ways to try to cope up with thesituation by keeping busy and explored their hidden potentials which otherwisethey would never have got an opportunity to, due to the busy schedules. Inthese unusual times the students of Aspee Nutan Academy stayed positive andspent their time wisely. All our students tried to explore their talents oruntapped skills and tried to pursue new one's also. Some learnt cooking which inturn made our little chefs more aware about kitchen rules, ingredients andmeasurements. Some tried to keep themselves fit and healthy by practicingYoga and exercising. Through physical fitness they not only tried to improve andchange their sedentary lifestyle but also took a step towards mental fitness. Some learnt to solve Rubik Cubes which helped them to sharpen their brain anddevelop their cognitive domain. During this time many have done acommendable job learning karate, different dance forms, rehearsing and tuningtheir Vocal Cords (Singing) through which they not only revitalised themselvesbut also got an opportunity to showcase and polish their talents. Talking aboutrecreational activities, some invested their time exploring their creativity andmade beautiful drawings, paintings, craft work and models which not onlydeveloped and refined their motor skills but also taught them to make the bestfrom what is available. Our students also realised how difficult it had becomefor their parents without domestic help and hence became responsible andoffered help with household duties as well. All in all, though the year has beendifferent from the usual; it has been difficult for many but for the resilientstudents of Aspee Nutan Academy this has been a year of new learning. Theyhave taken it their stride and have tried to make the best use of their leisuretime.
