During the 2011-2012 school year, the Conemaugh Township

Area School District again received national distinction. Our

high school was recognized with a bronze medal as one of

America’s Best High Schools through U.S. News and World

Report. The Elementary School is the only school building in

Somerset or Cambria Counties distinguished as a Blue Ribbon

School by the United States Department of Education.

Dear Parents,

We realize that not all students thrive

in a traditional ’brick and mortar’ setting. The

Conemaugh Township Area School District has made a com-

mitment to provide an additional instructional model with the

growth of our Cyber Academy.

The CT Cyber Academy has gathered the established and

dedicated professionals, administrative staff and resources of

the district, and will assist those students and families who

choose to accept all of the benefits of a Conemaugh Township

education through hands on and online learning.

Enrolling in our academy will allow you and your child to re-

ceive all of the benefits of a public school education using an

instructional style you have shown comfort with.

Classes will be available with the start of the 2012-2013 school

Taxpayers from Conemaugh Township pay annu-

al tuition for residents of the district who have

enrolled students in any of the state cyber charter

schools. During the 2011-2012 school year out

of district cyber school tuition was $9,716 per

student. $17,439 if that child was identified as

having special needs. Enrolling students in the

district cyber school saves taxpayer dollars.
