Auriplex recognises that hearing composes of 2 parts;

• Sensory Element (Ear) which picks up the sound.

• Processing Power (Brain) that zooms into the desired sound. As the

sensory element degrades the person’s processing power begins to

become ‘lazy’.

For this reason it is essential for a hearing solution to have a 2 part

capability also.

The market is well-understood, but not saturated due to unsolved difficulties by the current

product offerings. The main issues are;

Market Problems and Opportunities

• Poor Performance in noisy environments (low signal-to-noise ratio).

•Connectivity to other audio devices (mobile phones, etc).

• Stigma- No one looks forward to receiving their first hearing aid.

• Long & expensive ownership process.

• Takes a long period of time to gain measurable benefits.

• Majority are dissatisfied with their present hearing solution.
