• Many features, including new user interface, inductor simulation, ability to share simulations, new calculators, connection to ComponentEdge, and most of all the ability to fully simulate passive circuit components such as capacitors and inductors.

• One key new feature is the capability to share simulation setups and results via a shareable weblink. This can be an enormously helpful feature during circuit design and component selection phases.

• KSIM 3.0 offers you the ability to simulate your selected circuit component and see exactly how that particular component will behave / perform as part of your circuit design. This eliminates the need for the usual trial-and-error phase, thus significantly reducing time spent to test your newly-designed circuit. You can even set your conditions such as ambient temperature, temperature rise, DC bias, etc. You can change the plot type to show impedance and ESR, current and voltage, capacitance and inductance, among many other plot types.

• Yes. Using KSIM 3.0 you can download graphs to your computer or even share the simulated model with a colleague with a simple mouse click.

• Absolutely! When developing the new KSIM 3.0 tool, we went to great lengths to make sure that KSIM 3.0 is very easy to use even to those of us who may be new to KSIM. We designed the tool using a ‘flat’ approach—that is, it is a one-layer tool, where there are no sub-menus, tabs, etc. Everything is readily available, viewable, and only a couple of clicks away.
