PRE-KINDERGARTEN

The UPK program is designed to encourage our young learners to use language within their daily lives to explore and experience their environment.

Through a variety of oral language

experiences, the children will:

Develop early emergent reading

skills

Develop early emergent math skills

Become problem solvers

Foster a need for self-expression

Develop appropriate social skillsand learn how to make good choices

and have fun!!!!

Special areas include gym, library, and earobics.

Art and music are integrated into the daily classroom routine.

Magic Penny Reading Program

• Magic Penny is phonemic-based early literacy program

• 20 minutes a day of differentiated instruction

• designed to teach children the basic fundamentals of phonemic (letter sound) awareness that lead them to reading success

• Parent-Teacher partnership
